They only have WiFi in reception and it is very slow. Most hotels have good WIFi in the rooms now
Very nice surroundings and good style villas. The kids love the swimming pool after a hot day tour back. Restaurants are good, both the western and the local one.
We booked 4 rooms, which are far from each other.
Very attractive design - wooden roof, very attractive decor, nice furniture, attractive room with four poster bed and balcony. Excellent 200m pool. Good breakfast and good dinner menu including veggie food. Nice friendly staff. Good airport transfer.
Not enough space for clothes in wardrobe. Path through resort flooded and smelled bad. Gym equipment almost all broken. Tour desk was just leaflets - more advice and help would be good for e.g. trip to Tonle Sap (notorious for scams). No engagement with guests by management - a shame.
The staff were great.
The dinner was almost tasteless . We only ate dinner once because of our disappointment in the food. The toilet in our first room was clogged and we had to change rooms.
wifi not available inside room
All of it
Nothing it was mint
I love the pool! And they have a little boat you can paddle from one end to another.
There is no wifi in the room but that's not really a big deal. It's more important to spend quality time than the phone. But for emergency purpose or checking email its important to hve wifi even at the pool area. So i can relax with my laptop and coffee
Hotel must have WiFi in the rooms, not only in the Lobby
Amazing place. Great aesthetics. Very friendly and attentive staff. Would absolutely recommend.
Stiff bed and WiFi not available in rooms only main area.
The location and serenity of the resort.
There wasn't anything about the resort we didn't like.
The staff and during checkout the GM Mr Pier has a time to ask us about our opinion of the hotel....
Water....it feels weird and rusty and they dont supply sealed mineral or drinking water
there is no wifi facility in the rooms
The staff were very helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to help. The rooms were very clean and tidy.
There was no wifi in the rooms. No irons available Breakfast spread was same every day.
The staff, the cocktails, the breakfast, the dinner, the "river" pool, the secluded location, the beautiful garden setting, the price
Friendly Staff Great Architecture Value for money Very good access to historical temples
Needs to improve slightly maintanace, but nothing serious.
The hotel has created an open, natural environment - lots of vegetation and water which brings delightful birds and insects. Great use of teak in the buildings. Felt natural and 'local'. Excellent staff, extermely well trained and courteous. High quality massages, delicious food, good wines and cocktails, good breakfast in a lovely open setting. Bedroom was fine (though the matress was hard, typical for the region), always well-cleaned, superb bathroom, good balcony. The most impressive aspect of our stay, though, was the way in which the manager accepted our disappointment about the swimming pool. He generously offered a number of complimentary services which did more than compensate for the problem, resulting in two very satisfied customers.
The only problem was the swimming pool water. I felt sorry for the hotel as it struggled with the filtration of the iron-rich ground water - there was a mechanical or chemical problem which left the pool safe but murky. However, the problem was accepted and dealt with very generously.
Staff lovely with children
Beds v uncomfortable
Loved the swimming pool and gardens. Very comfortable room. Good food.
Amazing staff, great atmosphere. Friendly manager let us check out very late for free.
Pool water could be cleaner (but still ok), and no wifi in the rooms, only common areas (which are very nice to hang out)
calm serenity of location but close proximity to local sites and amenities
Nice staff, fabulous swimming pool, very beautiful hotel, makes you feel like relaxing after a busy day visiting temples.
We enjoy the wonderful garden and swimming pool. The staff is very kind and pleasant.
Breakfast was okay but a bit under what one could expect when booking a 5-star hotel. Room was spacious and clean. Small boats in the pool for guests' use -although one was about to go under due to a hole underneath-.
10mn from city centre in tuc-tuc. No wifi in the rooms. Cleaness around the pool; the staff apparently cleans up the facilities around the pool once a day or so. Very expensive pick-up service at the airport. You have to call staff from an interphone to order something from the pool, which is a bit annoying. No bar by the pool.
All the staff were excellent, they could not do enough to help and were always friendly. The grounds were lovely and the pool was very unique.
Unfortunately, Angkor Village Resort & Spa is not up the the standard of other 5 star hotels we have stayed in. The rooms are not very comfortable, the pillows are rock hard, the furniture indoor and on the balcony were all uncomfortable. Management really let this hotel a lot, during our stay we encountered periods of no hot water, no water at all and trouble with the air-conditioning not working properly. There is no shower curtain so the entire bathroom floor becomes wet and very slippery, the shower head fell down every time it was turned on and there were no toilet roll holders. We borrowed an iron & ironing table which I could not believe how filthy the cover was and the iron had open wires hanging out the bottom where it had been broken. Overall, our stay was very disappointing and feel that this hotel is extremely over-priced.
The confort of the rooms which are nicely decorated, the large bathrooms
The pool without maintenance, the garden without maintenance, the basic breakfast. No wifi in the rooms
