everything! Services, atmosphere, amenities, the pool and the restaruants!
- there is old dark funiture in the room - shower was not clean, felt not comfortable to take a shower or be in the bathroom - it smelt everywhere old in the hotel - the people on the reception did not really understand us and were later not friendly anymore - Minibar and room service was very expensive - area around the pool is also very old - funiture on Balcony was old --> we checked out immediately after 1 night as we did not really like the Hotel, we then had to pay TWO nights :(
There was nothing we really liked
the juices at the pool and snacks were superb. We stay 10 days and were given canapés and two bottles of wine as a gift, The breakfasts were top quality, extensive and varied daily for choices. Sooreap was exceptional. A great experience and we look forward to returning. 5 star delight at great value. Many thanks.
Staff weren't helpful at all when it came to information about tourist traps or even how much a tuk tuk ride should roughly be... Was put in the wrong room and took two days to rectify... Didn't get free fruit platter as advertised... Room service food was well below 5 star..
Upgrade to suit was nice...
check process is slow, wifi is ok but some place not well
best lowest price than city hotel, big resort, lovely swimming pool
From the second you arrive at the entrance of the hotel you are welcomed with a smile and your bags no longer a burden, you don't go to reception they come to you with a cold flannel and complimentary drink, while you sit and relax they organise your room and your set, the rooms are good not sensational but every other part of the experience was fantastic. Yes it is slightly expensive but we are talking 5 stars from the moment we arrived it was agreed we would return in 2 years. If you stay here you won't be disappointed.
It is located a little bit far from the town center, a USD3 ten-minute tuk tuk drive, but it is not big deal. Wi-fi signal in the rooms is quite poor, but strong enough to check your mail and social medias.
Although the hotel is relatively old, it is taken good care of. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is just awesome. Swimming pool and spa provide a good relief after a long day going up and down the temples.
The breakfast had little options for vegetarians. Had to survive on breads and fruits only.
Liked the location and hospitality of staff. The pool is quite good.
Connecting to the hotel did not work as the tel number booking.com provided is not right. We lost the chance to get the airport pick up
Well organized hotel at a very reasonable value for money ratio. Well located to visit Siem Reap and Angkor Wat. Nice rooms and indeed 5 star level.
Not enough lounge chairs for the amount of people staying at the hotel. Very frustrating and really shouldn't be that way. There way tons of room for about 20-30 more chairs. Hotel being cheap.
The hotel is really good with lots of area and nice pool.
The location of the resort is between the airport and the Old Market area. If you are planning to go out often (dinner, shopping, etc), it might be better to chose a resort/hotel in the Old Market area so that you are within walking distance and won't need to rely on tuk tuks. Having said that, a ride in the tuk tuk from resort to Old Market area is only $3 and about 5-10 mins. Food is not too exciting. The usual resort type food - probably all from the same company.
Facilities are great, nice big pool with children's area including a small slide. Staff are helpful and kind. We used their childcare services - the lady that looked after our son was really sweet.
- wifi not working very well - limited choice of restaurants
- good pool - nice grounds with lots of flowers - spacious interior with lots of wood - hotel with own local style; not run-of-the-mill - quiet
We had to wait 15 minutes for transport to the hotel. After a long 7 hour coach journey, we were tired and hot so having to wait in the heat was not a good start to our stay in Siem Reap. For my disabled 80 year old companion this was her first visit to Cambodia and that wait was difficult for her! I called the hotel twice to remind them of our need for transport which was part of the service advertised and provided.
The location, tranquility and pool/ garden setting were very welcoming after a busy, hot day sightseeing. The food was good with lots of choice.
Nice five star for the value, and the breakfast is pretty good. nice swimming pool
The resort is located away from the Main Street in a calm and peaceful location. Excellent hospitality of the staffs, very helpful, modern traditional and clean resort, tasty and buffet breakfast.
Cambodian restaurant served the worst food we have had anywhere in southeast Asia in a 5 week trip. Staff very competent but no one at the hotel appears to be very happy with Hus/her job. When we arrived we were welcomed, seated, our passports were taken, firma filled out, towels and drink offered and before we could even take a sip we were told that we had to shown to our room and I wasn't permitted to take my drink. A very anonymous experience so we moved to a small boutique hotel after a few days.
Beautiful grounds, absolutely gorgeous spa with fabulous masseuses, extensive buffet breakfast, wonderful pool and lounge chairs with plenty of umbrellas.
Nothing, all was perfect!!!
The restaurant is more expensive than is worth and we didn't manage to get a pick up from the airport although we asked before twice (with no response).
We got an upgrade, breakfast was great in variety (and good), swimming pool was nice, staff was really attentive and friendly. Free shuttle to town (book in advance!) and airport.
Toilet Design and maintenance issue
Very big lanscaping, good price, food is very nice
Breakfast for the europeans is weak. For that price in siemrep the breakfast should be better. We had excellent breakfats in phnompenh .
It has a good ambiance ,we had a connected room and room size is excellent.Decor of the hotel is good.Afternoon pool is good. It's little bit far to center but not big problem. You can go with Tuktuk 10 minutes.
WiFi is spotty, though this seems to be a common theme in Cambodia
Facilities and rooms are gorgeous, staff is fantastic
Great staff awesome pool soo much fun!!
wifi is so bad. staff are not trained properly.
Hard to name anything we didn't like about the place.
We traveled around Thailand and Cambodia for two weeks and stayed in a few hotels along the way - Angkor Palace was by far the best for its facilities, service and value for money! And the breakfast was to die for...
Nothing at all!
This was our first visit to Cambodia and staying at Angkor Palace Resort and Spa made it perfect for us. Where to start? The hotel is spectacular, food and restaurant staff top notch, location just right and every member of staff just waiting to ensure you have a memorable stay.
