The gardens and hotel environment are lovely. The location is good, close to the market and shopping and easy to get to the temples.
Convenient location in central area. Decent breakfast. Kitchen staff was super nice to make me porridge and brought to our room free of charge. Front desk guys were nice but not terribly worldly to answer basic questions about say phone use in their country.
Location was very close to the road. Both rooms facing the river and too facing the side street were subject to noise. Side street room especially noisy in evening when people going out to dinner.
Construction next to pool, a little dirty pool.
Lovely setting and great location. Very pleasant breakfast and restaurant surrounds.
Hotel is undergoing new renovations so pool area and other surrounds are still under construction. Hoping it will return to the beautiful way it was before as it is a little oasis and the landscaping is a real feature for this hotel.
Loved the location walking distance from town. Helpful and friendly, beautiful gardens and pool.
Location, restaurant food was very good, friendly staff.
Spider webs on lights, cockroach in tub, maids didn't remove dirty dishes
I liked the green all around the hotel. My room 102 was large and comfortable. Restaurant served very tasty food in a lovely outdoor atmosphere.
Unfortunately there was building next door so the pool area was quite noisy. Nov 2014
Excellent location. Hotel has character.
Rooms are looking worn. Shower soaked the whole bathroom. Bathroom very tiny. Construction going on.
Very well located, easy to travel to the temples Nice staff Mosquito net in the room
Staff was always gracious and worked at making us comfortable. Second visit to this hotel!
They are renovating a section of hotel that looks like it will be ready in the next six months. And as soon as that is completed all we be good!
The gardens and the position
The pool was green and in bad condition. I was told that they weren't able to find out what was wrong with it. It hadn't been used for 3 months. To top that I was bitten all night by bedbugs! and have the marks to prove it. The restaurant staff were not very friendly. Overpriced!
The Hotel has seen better days and is definitely passed its best. The first room we got "upgraded" in had a leaking roof, which we discovered the first night during heavy rainfall. We then could move to the better insulated rooms. No more rain in the room, but no good shower in the bathroom either. Water pressure provided only a trickle. As we stayed for a week, we could see, that the breakfast doesn't change at all (probably the management isn't used to longer staying guests) and that the service (specially by the male workforce unaffected by a will to serve) lacks initiative and ambition. Out of numerous staff only two ladies didn't seem to be bothered by having to attend to hotel guests and dispersed some friendliness. I could not recommend this hotel despite some charme in its flowering setting.
attitude of (male) staff condition of building and rooms sanitary installation lack of variety for breakfast
Room was clean and comfortable.
For weirdness (in a good way) this place gets five stars. The lush gardens, ponds and courtyards are amazing, and all the gaudy decorations and statues make you feel like you are on a movie set for a Bollywood film. There were hardly any people staying there, and the very formal staff were all just waiting to serve you in the equally formal dining room. It seemed like a hotel fit for kings of a past era, and...one that also had seen busier and better days.
The facilities, including the pool area, were a little run down and grungy. The food was just o.k.. The main reason why I would not recommend it is that it is a three star hotel with a four star price tag.
V near to town centre with restaurants, markets etc. breakfast was excellent with choice of Asian or Western. Swimming pool was very welcome
Room a bit cramped with no fan or air conditioning in bathroom area
The quite but central location, the garden with plants and flowers
The breakfast. Fixed and not appealing menus and they cannot provide toasts
Really helpful with travel arrangements. Food was excellent. Very quiet by the pool. Right on the river
Cambodians don't really get the concept of refuse collection so consequently there tends to be a lot of rubbish in the street outside.
Beautiful hotel and grounds, breakfast OK. Rooms were lovely.
Be careful if you book a Tuk Tuk around temples to catch the sunset, you only get to go to four temples and if you (or your yuk yuk driver) finish the tour early, you miss the sunset (as we did). Go for the sunrise! We booked the trip via the hotel which is the only reason that i have mentioned it. I thought that the hotel staff could have mentioned the deal with the temples as we did specifically ask them to make sure we saw the sunset.
The hotel's exterior and gardens and pool were all really beautiful to say the least.
Room was small and I didn't feel safe as there wasn't a secure lock on the door.
Very pretty hotel with beautiful gardens in a very peaceful setting close to the river and only 10 mins walk to markets and town. Staff couldn't have been more helpful and let us stay and use their lovely pool all afternoon as we had an evening flight. Food was beautifully presented and our evening meal delicious. Wish we could have stayed a lot longer.
Nothing. The hotel was perfect for exploring Siem Reap and is in the prettiest part of the town.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel was comfortable and the gardens beautiful.
Should get new towels.
The location is perfect, price is good, food is good, staff friendly and helpful. The hotel has a very local style which is very nice.
Internet signal was too weak to use in my room.
Excellent location - short walking distance from Pub Street and the night markets. Numerous superb restaurants near by. Lovely and relaxing pool area.
Rooms only ok. Could use an upgrade. Bathroom needs improvement as taking a shower floods the entire place.
nice equipmented hotel well located
Inside the hotel, one feels like he's inside a forest. Nice atmosphere and lots of green areas. Very Close to old market and night market. (and pub street)
