The hotel is really amazing. Staff is really frendly and helpful. Rooms are nice and clean. Breakfast is great, you can find really whatever you want. The position is a bit far from the city center. You need 5 minutes by tuk tuk to get to the center.

The staff was very friedly and helpful. We booked a guided tour of Angkor Wat and the guide was excellent, great knowledge and service. We were also allowed a late check out and the hotel offers a free pick up service from the Airport, if you let them know your flight details. I had a very enjoyable stay and I think they are running the hotel at a high standard, well done!

First off I should state that we stayed for 4 nights during April in their entry level room. I managed to benefit from a flash deal paying only circa $83 per night incl of breakfast. It is also worth noting that the Borei hotel is one of the few locally owned hotels in Siem Reap. In short, the money stays in the country and benefits the local economy. pluses: Bedrooms are v spacious with large bathroom incl of separate shower and roll top bath. King size bed, LCD flat screen good selection of programs. In short you can not be disappointed with the rooms at any standard they are very good. Spa: treatments very good and value for money ($30 60min massage). There is also steam shower, sauna and hot and cold dip pools Service: I cannot over emphasis how much the staff bend over and help you at this resort with a glowing smile. While the service lacks the finesse and execution of european 5 star resort its makes up with charm Location: on the road to Angkor Wat but just outside of the old town. However 5 min tuk tuk ride $2. Location is really a preference choice, i.e do you want to be based in the centre of town or somewhere less busy Cambodian authenticity: (again personal choice) but there is something v special about this country and staying in this hotel adds to the authenticity of the visit. Wood is used in over abundance and the national colours of the country. If you want a slick, white, trendy european hotel look elsewhere (hotel de le Paix) Management of complaints: I complained about the high no of conferences to the manager. Have to say his management and style was first class. If only this could be replicated everywhere else in the world Minuses: Pool: adequate not nothing special. Also had a high level of chlorine that discoloured bathing suits Wifi: plus for providing free of charge but hopelessly slow Hospitality desk: adequate but nothing special.

Staff very attentive. Many spoke English Front desk, Ms. Norine very personable and helpful Private guide, Mr. Nicka, spoke very good English, very knowledgeable about the temples, Cambodia, Buddhism. He had been a monk for 8 years. Highly recommended. Excellent breakfast buffet. Nice pool. Nice spa, but overpriced for the area. Beautiful grounds. The beds were harder than I like. The first non-smoking room they checked us into smelled of smoke. They moved us to another room immediately. That room smelled of mold, and the grout in the lower half of the shower was heavily spotted with black mold......so they moved us a third time. Again they moved us immediately. The third room was much better, but still some mold and mold smell in the shower. Upon check out, I recommended a chemical spray such as Tilex to the manager, and he said they would look into it.

If you want a royal treatment for $60 a night for a room - go for it. Complementary transfer to the airport included. If I ever go to Siem Reap I will stay there again.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Short drive, by Tuk Tuk, to the center. Airport transport complementary. Bicycle rental (Giant mountain bikes) across the street. A few days there was loud music outside (not part of the hotel).

Everything! Great breakfasts. For some reason, after coming out of the pool our bathing suits turned slightly green. This was for 2 separate days and different bathing suits.

It was a beautiful property, nice pool, spa and wooden decor was pleasing.the rooms were decently big and very clean . service was upto the mark and prompt.claw feet bath tub was a pleasure as also their custom of turning down the beds every night.an overall pleasant stay. Roomservice food was not great .we stayed for 4 nights and every morning the breakfast would be exactly the same menu as previous day so that by the third morning we were bored of the predictability.

The service is excellent and the staff is very responsive to our needs. We were to leave the hotel at 4.15 pm for our flight and we were back from our morning trip at 2.45 pm. The staff gave us a room free of charge to enable us to wash up before our flight.

Overall very good. A bit outdated rooms, but very spacious. Noisy AC, however lovely balcony, location was great. We got a huge 3 bed room, which was great. Breakfast was a bit boring, but the coffee and the bread were delicious. One thing we didn't like: upon arrival we were greeted and checked very fast, however it was mentioned to us that our 4 and half year old kid should be paying to stay with us (?!)- really odd, having in mind that the hotel policy listed on booking.com says that kids 6 and under stay for free when using existing bedding. of course, we argued, and the receptionist said he will double check with management, and after that we didn't hear about it again. Overall, was a pleasant stay, and a good value for the money we spent.

Spa massages were excellent! Swimming pool was also nice. I didn't find porridge for the breakfast, but there were many fresh fruits. All suites are made from wood, so it was noisy sometimes. The taxi to the airport was complimentary!

Nice pool, nice room, great staff! Breakfast was a bit disappointing. Especially the bread and cakes did not taste very fresh. Only coffee and tea available, for cappucino and hot chocolate they had to charge extra..... Not what we consider 5* service!! It was a very nice 4* hotel, also in view of the state of the hotel which could do with a bit of touching up here and there. Definitely not 5 star quality, therefore we thought is was a bit overpriced.... Overall we did enjoy our stay due to the very friendly staff and the nice pool area and room ;-)
