This hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff couldn't be more helpful and the location was great. We would normally pay much more for a hotel of this standard.
Nothing much to dislike.
A large room, nice and cool. Lovely staff, great pool, good breakfast. An easy tuk tuk ride to town, or 10 minute walk...just a bit hot for that in September.
The main room was a bit dark, needed a big lamp for reading by. Also could have done with colourful cushion or two...hard wooden sofa and chairs not that comfy.
Enormous bedroom and lounge with a kitchen area and a washing machine which was excellent with the humidity and going through several changes a day. Very basic furniture. Balcony that was big enough to sit on and more.
Breakfast was mediocre
Huge room, with a washer and dryer! Everything was clean and comfortable, breakfast also had good selection and quality. Also convenient to Pub Street and central Siem Reap.
We loved the feel and size of the apartment, the fabulously helpful staff, and the relaxing pool area inclusive of bar. Of course the breakfast included was a bonus and the Location was close to everything.
We would have liked a more comfortable living room furniture.
Close to night markets and pub street, but in quite location. Large apartment style accommodation (our unit had two bed rooms, a large living dining area and kitchen). Great value for money. Nice pool area to cool off. Excellent restaurant (with AC! - it was extremely hot and humid during our stay in Siam Riep)
The size of the rooms
Location Staff very helpful Rooms enormous Lift Close to lots of restaurants Breakfast
Friendly staff, very accommodating. I went during the low season, so my huge apartment-style room was cheap (USD59).
I was travelling solo for one night, so it seemed unnecessary to be staying in such a large suite. I should've booked a smaller room.
Spacious room Laundry facility in room
super kind staff, great location- walkable to all in center siem reap, upgraded me to HUGE suite, great hotel's tuk-tuk driver (john) for Angkor wat visits, luxury-for-less, fantastic breakfast buffet each am w/daily changes, free computer and good wifi in lobby (in room maybe I didn't try), clothes washer in suite !!
having to leave
In our bedroom, we saw a mouse, rat !! It bit my dad's shirt and dropping on the floor. When my sister sleep, she heard the rats squeaking and racing across the floor. I was very disappointed Chateau d'Angkor La Residence.
The friendliness of the people, all smiles- the food was good with many varied restaurants,we loved eating Khymer! Climate was great and lots on interesting tourist sites.
Nothing really, the jostling of the traders but this was minor
The building was beautiful and the rooms extremely spacious. Air conditioning worked well and all rooms had fly screens so no problems with mossies. Food was good and staff extremely accommodating. Very clean. Definitely would choose this hotel again
Pillows too hard and high but personal choice.
breakfast is wealthy buffet, it was totally worth the price!!!! wonderful experience in Cambodia!!!!
Great location, facilities and staff. We stayed here for 3 nights while we explored the temples with our children aged 4 and 2 1/2. The rooms were very spacious as was the living area. After a sweaty morning at the temples we would come back to enjoy the pool which was the best we saw during our 3 week holiday. It has a very non slip surface around the outside which is ideal with young children who can't stay still. Supermarket is only a 5 min walk away too.
The only thing I would change would perhaps be the breakfast. It was a bit more like a lunch buffet with breakfast cereals and toast. Having said that, the food was good.
The hotel is far enough away from the busier streets of Siem Reap but still close enough to walk most places. (or a short Tuk Tuk ride) The staff are all very helpful and friendly and communication is not an issue. The hotel staff arranged our tours and guides for the temples and Tonle Sap Lake before we arrived which made it very convenient to pay only one bill at the end of our stay. The room was very large, well equipped kitchen and very good aircon..which is a good thing in the tropics. Overall a very pleasant stay in Siem Reap.
The only downside, and i find this in the majority of hotels in South East Asia, the furniture is not not very comfortable. In this case the bed in particular was about as soft as the nicely tiled floor. I realise that in this part of the world beds like this are normal, but it takes some real adjusting for some of us.
All in all good value for money
Wifi was very hit and miss
Friendly staff, smiling and helpful. Very big room. Always clean. Feels like home. Excellent location while quite and peaceful in hotel. Breakfast is nice.
Would be nice if could find some fun for kids in the garden. Some equipments or place for playing..
Huge rooms. Laundry and cooking facilities
Breakfast needs improvement
Quiet hotel at 5 minutes by tuck tuck from Pub Street. The large appartment including a washing machine and kitchen. The in room service: the food was excellent and served in the appartment at no extra cost compared to the restaurant. Staff (including the tuck tuck drivers) was friendly and helpful to organise guides and excursions around Siem Reap.
Nothing really. The bed was a bit hard and there was no TV in the bedroom but it is nitpicking. There were no knifes or pots to cook, just a single pan.
I loved staying at this hotel ,facilities were good. The hotel is very well placed in Siem Reap town.
WiFi is slow
Location and lots of space. Great staff.
the furniture was not very comfortable
Rooms were very clean Breakfast was wonderful Excellent staff
Great location, walking distance to pub st or a quick tuk tuk rd. very large rooms with a large fridge and washing machine powder supplied. Great meals breakfast lunch and tea if you wanted to eat in. Very friendly and attentive staff. The pool was a bonus and the food in Cambodia was fantastic a must is to try is a Cambodian BBQ yum.
We were on the 3rd floor and there are no lifts. We did get use to it and it helped work off the calories we had put on.
