super kind staff, great location- walkable to all in center siem reap, upgraded me to HUGE suite, great hotel's tuk-tuk driver (john) for Angkor wat visits, luxury-for-less, fantastic breakfast buffet each am w/daily changes, free computer and good wifi in lobby (in room maybe I didn't try), clothes washer in suite !!
having to leave
In our bedroom, we saw a mouse, rat !! It bit my dad's shirt and dropping on the floor. When my sister sleep, she heard the rats squeaking and racing across the floor. I was very disappointed Chateau d'Angkor La Residence.
The friendliness of the people, all smiles- the food was good with many varied restaurants,we loved eating Khymer! Climate was great and lots on interesting tourist sites.
Nothing really, the jostling of the traders but this was minor
The building was beautiful and the rooms extremely spacious. Air conditioning worked well and all rooms had fly screens so no problems with mossies. Food was good and staff extremely accommodating. Very clean. Definitely would choose this hotel again
Pillows too hard and high but personal choice.
Great location, facilities and staff. We stayed here for 3 nights while we explored the temples with our children aged 4 and 2 1/2. The rooms were very spacious as was the living area. After a sweaty morning at the temples we would come back to enjoy the pool which was the best we saw during our 3 week holiday. It has a very non slip surface around the outside which is ideal with young children who can't stay still. Supermarket is only a 5 min walk away too.
The only thing I would change would perhaps be the breakfast. It was a bit more like a lunch buffet with breakfast cereals and toast. Having said that, the food was good.
All in all good value for money
Wifi was very hit and miss
Huge rooms. Laundry and cooking facilities
Breakfast needs improvement
Quiet hotel at 5 minutes by tuck tuck from Pub Street. The large appartment including a washing machine and kitchen. The in room service: the food was excellent and served in the appartment at no extra cost compared to the restaurant. Staff (including the tuck tuck drivers) was friendly and helpful to organise guides and excursions around Siem Reap.
Nothing really. The bed was a bit hard and there was no TV in the bedroom but it is nitpicking. There were no knifes or pots to cook, just a single pan.
I loved staying at this hotel ,facilities were good. The hotel is very well placed in Siem Reap town.
WiFi is slow
Location and lots of space. Great staff.
the furniture was not very comfortable
Rooms were very clean Breakfast was wonderful Excellent staff
Great location, walking distance to pub st or a quick tuk tuk rd. very large rooms with a large fridge and washing machine powder supplied. Great meals breakfast lunch and tea if you wanted to eat in. Very friendly and attentive staff. The pool was a bonus and the food in Cambodia was fantastic a must is to try is a Cambodian BBQ yum.
We were on the 3rd floor and there are no lifts. We did get use to it and it helped work off the calories we had put on.
Excellent service and super friendly stuff who speak very good English! Perfection location- quiet but central area only two mins away from the old market and pub street by tuktuk! You can arrange angkor wat and other day tours at the reception. We highly recommend tuktuk driver Mr Sky!! He is the best tuktuk driver we met in Siem reap. He is very friendly, talkative and helpful. You will not need a tour guider for angkor wat area if you have him as your driver unless you are very interested in the history of the temples.
Excellent facilities and very pleasant staff
Size of rooms, professional staff, breakfast options and dining staff
few windows for such a huge space, top floor and no lift, trouble with room entry
Very Specious and Clean. Well equipped kitchen for your hygienic cooking after long day of touring temples, walkable to International grocery store to get your Emmi, Evian and Farmhouse kinds of known brands! Also has a washing machine if you wish to launder your sweaty/dusty clothes after pounding whole day on local roads. Pool is just behind the doors (request for a ground floor). Ask for any special request like extra bed, water bottles, late check out, and all requests were promptly served! Free airport transfers in quite clean car. Great English speaking staff and almost nothing to complain/unlike!
The 2 bedroom suite was spacious, very clean, and location was convenient. Requests were attended to right away.
Excellent Breakfast. Very close to the Pub street. Friendly Stuff.
I recommend avoid booking room facing to front street. It is a bit noisy. No TV in the bedroom, however you can always ask the staff to move it from big room into bedroom.
Spacious room, nice staff and friendly facilities in the room.(There's a washing machine and detergent.)
No elevators, we have to climb all the way to the fourth floor after climbing so many steep steeps during the day.
- distance to the centre of Siem Reap - excellent hotel staff - great breakfast - Centrally located from the Angkor Wat and other temples
We liked the local french colonial style architecture and design. Our rooms were very large. The breakfast selection was a good and various mixture to please people from around the world. We enjoyed our stay there very much. The pool is a plus! Too bad it closes in the evening. Beware of the mosquitos.
I left something on the kitchen table, which was of no material value, but which was still okay, and I didn't want to throw away yet. Well the cleaning staff threw it away for me...
- Great Location - Friendly and efficient staff - Central location and everything within a $2 Tuk-Tuk ride - Very spacious rooms - Great value for money - Nice pool area with firendly barman (forget his name, but really nice helpful guy) - Very nice pool, an oasis after a long day at the temples - Hotel provided Tuk-Tuk guide (I think his name was Mr Haak) very friendly and very helpful with no pushy soft sells. - Washing machine and detergents provided which helps you to pack light. - Good kitchen area, but really no need to use it with all the restaraunts around.
- Breakfast is ok, but could do with some more variety. - Try get a room not on the main street. It can be a bit noisy, but not unbearably so.
Staff were perfect in attentiveness but obviously not all have good English. The tuk-tuk drivers booked thro' front desk were good and price was similar to doing it yourself, same applied to long-distance onward car travel. Superb breakfasts for quality and choice. Room made-up twice daily, all bathroom cosmetics etc. provides as was daily bottled water. Bath/showers perfect but if you try to fill a bath it gobbles up all hot water. Swimming pool magnificent, as were happy-hour cocktails! Excellent location, quiet but easy walking or tuk-tuk to the action. Fridge & washing machine good provision.
Time after time people refer to the magnificent living room area BUT NO SOFT FURNISHINGS on which to sit or sprawl, so the space was a waste because we had to retreat to the bedroom. The kitchen needs a microwave and a bigger variety of cutlery & utensils HOWEVER the private kitchen still is a massive bonus. We were miffed when choosing hot chocolate at the all-inclusive breakfast to be charged $3 US. per cup! Nobody told us that in advance. In UK terms the food & drink were priced ok BUT in Cambodian terms are expensive so we ate and drank elsewhere, except at Happy Hour. Still one of the best places ever in all our travels. Steve Riches, Northampton, UK.
Our stay at this hotel was wonderful! Excellent staff and Sky the tuktuk driver is awesome! No complaints what so ever! Stay here if you get the chance.
