Great place, very friendly & helpful staff. Thanks for the great time!
good value for money
breakfast could use more selection of food. gym is a joke. Staff hardly speak any english (except one hotel manager who met us on arrival). Tour desk personnel is really hard to deal with.
Grand architecture mimicking Angkor Wat. Absolutely beautiful. Beautiful pool area, perfect for relaxing. Sky bar with ok views. The sky bar wasn't open, but maybe you have to ask. However, you can still access the area. It looks like a great hang out if opened. The first hotel I've wanted to stay longer. Fabulous restaurant. Large selection for breakfast buffet. Delicious dinner. 3 min, free shuttle ride to/from hotel. Flight update screen in lobby. Room doors alarmed if left open. Staff incredibly friendly and accommodating. Tuk tuk right outside for rental.
Bed was stiff. But that seems to be standard in the region. Everyone was disappointed the pool closed at 9.
The whole hotel was very Khemer, I really felt that I am in Cambodia. Buffet breakfast was great from bread to soup to salad and main courses, my favorite was the cheese selection and there were more. We like our room Premier twin bed with balcony, very spacious my friend and dint have to share one cabinet as we have one for each in this room (3023) the bathroom is complete like the international branded hotels: tub, toiletries and towels plus ofcourse clean toilet. We had a garden view balcony, although we were seeing another hotel's garden really but it was not bad at all. Nice and cozy by the balcony, we get fresh air and you can lie down on its built in long chair by the balcony. Sauna and gym was free, the staff by the pool area was great too. Thank you Empress Residence Resort and Spa for the welcome fruits and the gift you gave us all. I just suggested this hotel to friends who is coming over on November 2014. See you when I comeback ♥
They do not have a business center although the staff was so nice to allow us to use their computer. I think we should have brought a laptop since there was wifi available.
The appearance from outside.
- did not get 2 bed room as ordered - instead a child bed - asked for blanket - did not get it - faaar from center - roof bar closed - no Info!! - not worth the 5 star rating - old, smells weard - we changed the next day hotel -> that was the best choice
Beautiful buildings and nice pool
Work was ongoing around the pool area and in the lobby. Steam room and sauna were not open.
Breakfast was great, Rooms were fine; price seems reasonable.
Arrangement for complementary ride to airport was useless while arrival time. one need to have easy access or arrangement to call the hotel. WiFi was not working in Rooms. In the entrance receiving hall the air conditioning was totally absent away from center areas; using the computer in corner was uncomfortable.
Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Extensive building work goin on nextvto pool.
Very nice hotel. In the middle of the way to Angkor, airport and Pub street. Good rest after visiting Angkor - clean room, quiet.
Breakfast is not that splendid as in some 5 stars asian hotels.
Nice place and people
Construction site at the time, very poor wifi, noise from air c.
We loved the traditional Khmer furnishings and decor in the hotel, this gave it a very authentic feel. Our room was large and comfortable. We had a very nice bathroom with big tub and there were nice robes and slippers provided. The staff was exceptional, helping us with any problems we had. The restaurant was great and the breakfast buffet was also great, everything was delicious! The location was also fabulous, close to the airport, and near Angkor Wat and the Pub Street area were all a cheap tuc tuc ride away. The hotel also offered a shuttle to town and to the airport free of charge. Overall we loved our stay and will be back next year!!
