Score from 425 reviews Excellent
I had to leave, especially as it was on the 14th of April when New Year celebrations had started!
The staff are very efficient and friendly. Everything is done with a minimum of fuss and maximum effect. I love the Long Island teas.
The rooms were great. Food was some of the best I had on my whole trip. Only a 10 min walk to the night market and pub street. The hotel tuk tuk to Angkor wat, fully equipped with cold water and towels - a must have as it got very hot.
Location and helpful staff
Minor areas of improvement. Spa treatments excellent but 30% too expensive, out of competitive range. Restaurant serves good food but always out of synch so people do not eat together
Quiet, yet minutes from everything, surrounded by lush gardens. Spacious rooms elegantly decorared. True boutique hotel feeling very private. Excellent spa. Good restaurant. Kind, responsive staff always helpful. Historical background.
It is showed as four star hotel in this website, but actually it is only three star hotel which is showed in the front desk of this hotel, we felt we were cheat! The price is very high, but it is okay since it is during lunar new year.
Good location, it takes 10 minutes by walking to old market, it is quiet, the conditioner in room is good, the swim poor is not so large, but it is clean, the room is also very clean, the staff service is good. The restuarant and bar of this hotel is still good, just the price is much higher than old market.
The staff was very friendly. The pool area and the restaurant was great. Good food and great service. Easy to get a Tuk Tuk or car organised by reception.
On the lesser side, a few aspects about the room are to be improved. First of all the curtains couldn't be opened which meant you had no daylight entering. The breakfast, although roomservice is free of charge and extremely punctual, isn't great. The great exception were however the eggs benedict: delicious. Although perhaps a nice idea to have the tv speakers installed above the bed to simulate surround sound, it sounded simply poorly. Overall positive, but there is some work to do to make it perfect.
The place has a special feeling about it. The rooms are nicely placed around the swimming pool and are very quiet. The hotel is at walking distance ( less than 1km) from the bustling bars and restaurants. And the bar and restaurant are very relaxing in the evening with the wonderfull fcc style hemingway special cocktail in your hand. This small hotel has its charm.
nice setting around the pool open air restaurant spacious rooms relaxed atmosphere
Breakfast was good but would have liked more to be able to choose more than two options. I might just be greedy first thing in the morning.
Comfortable and large rooms. Lovely outlook from restaurant. Very helpful staff. Swimming pool was a very good size.
restaurant - waiters are not knowledgeable enough about the food
The bathroom is only separated from the bedroom by a large slatted door so you can hear everything through the door !! There are only inadequate key locks on the room doors so you have to store valuables in the room safe every time you go out.
Great location Lovely staff
The whole structure could use some maintenance work. The pool area was a bit run down and the pool itself didn't look super clean. I emailed the hotel about guided tours to the Angkor temples and only got a reply three days later, when I was already staying there and had already arranged the tour with them face-to-face, so it was awkward to receive that response. Breakfast was not a buffet, but a la carte with two complimentary options (plus coffee/tea and juice) - any extra had to be paid for separately. One day they forgot my request of a 4:30 am breakfast (they can arrange this on demand if you are booked for a sunrise tour), but they were quick to fix this and prepared a box with my breakfast to go. The big windows are useless in the room located on ground floor (people ca see in your room unless you keep curtains pulled).
The hotel is nicely located about a mile from the centre of Siem Reap (2 USD by moto tuk tuk), so it was very quiet. They can arrange a variety of tours to the Angkor temples (with or without a guide, half days, full days, sunrise, sunset, by car, van, tuk took, etc.). I don't know whether the prices are cheaper elsewhere but I found the total amount very reasonable, also considering it was hassle-free (booked at 10pm for the next morning!). Also, both the driver and the guide we got were extremely competent. I was very impressed with the spa services.
Rooms were noisy and lacked privacy.
The Resturant was good
Very poor light in rooms Couldn't open curtains because the only large window looks out on a walkway so no privacy from people walking by overall public spaces slightly run down
Location is perfect
Can't think of anything I didn't like
The location was great. I loved hanging by the pool! The food was great and the cocktails too! Value for money! It was also quiet which my boyfriend and I liked! The spa was OKAY nothing great but that's about it. The AC was good, the bathroom was superb. The front desk helped us book tours and get great your guides. They provided incense and candles in the bathroom.
A lot of noise and there was no dispensable ear plugs available at reception
We chose this hotel because of its location and facilities - especially because of the pool area and we booked a more expensive room to have a pool view. When we arrived the complete pool area was under construction. So we paid extra to have a construction work view?! We were told that we could go to another hotel's pool - but this was not what we booked (and paid). Moreover, there was of course quite noisy construction work the whole day which also made sitting outside and inside quite uncomfortable. First, they did not offer any discount or something else. We insisted to speak to the manager and then we managed to get an upgrade to a suite and a free dinner. But it was very disappointing that we had to go into a discussion for it. I think the hotel should have lowered the prices by 50% and informed the guests in advance. It was not the stay we had expected :(
Location, hotel's general setup: rooms all on ground floor with view to courtyard/garden, very friendly staff, very good restaurant with excellent value for money, breakfast's banana bread
Pool Facilities of junior suite Complementaries Friendliness of staff
The breakfast in not a buffet but you have ti chiose onlu Teo discesa from tue menu
Atmosphere, elegant design, good food at the restorant, incredible garden and greeneries, nice pool.
The small bugs near the door but this is considered out of the hotels hand and not that annoying.
The Suite Room is a bit more than the average but value worth every dollar. Excellent staff very friendly and helpful, good location, very nice design. one of the best hotels iv been into around the world.
Wifi was a joke. No gym/fitness room. Bugs in room.
close to pub street, old market, night market, the post office, lots of nice little boutiques and resorts. also walking distance to hard rock cafe and many places. Always quiet hotel so good to sleep and nice to enjoy a few days there as it has its own spa and pool. Has a really good resturant and a few really nice shops.
The hotel is in need of some refurbishing. Tale care of your beautiful hotel!
Beautiful architecture (interiors, buildings and plan layout), nice pool area, mysterious and lush vegetation.mysteriously no mosquitos.
Nicely furnished. Helpful staff. Pleasant and relaxed atmosphere.
The staff were very helpful and friendly I felt very comfortable being here. The breakfasts were really good and my room was excellent and had a swimming pool view.
Bathroom was divided from the room with a louver sliding door so you could hear and smell what was going on in the toilet. Also, light would go through so going to the toilet in the middle of the night could wake a light sleeper.
Staff was really helpful and accommodating. Convenient location. Tour services were reasonably priced.
