the location, building, staff, pool etc were excellent - brilliant attitude, all only too happy to help. A real family atmosphere. The 2 tuk tuk drivers Batman and Superman were also great stars. Superman took us round all the temples and then some for a modest fee.including copious iced water and cool towels. Who could ask for more?!
Interesting plumbing in some rooms - dont expect any more than luke warm in some, but then after a day in that heat, what more do you want than a cool shower?
the owener gave us tips on where to go, how to pay for things, etc. This is quiet hotel that's off the beaten path of pub street, even though it's a short 7 minute walk to get there, but it's not a drunk party hotel. Which I liked -)
The bathrooms definitely need some updating, but the owner is working on it. Just take a quick shower and it's all good!
Hotel staff was helpful and friendly. Food was good. Real rooms are probably fine but not the hostel room.
Mosquitos breeding in shared shower, shower faucet wouldn't turn off....and rude hostelers who came to bed late, turned on lights and talked loudly while others tried to sleep.
The mosquito net
The location is good, very close to the center but in a quiet place. The garden outsider gives a nice feeling.
It really doesn't look as nice as on the pictures. The bathroom is awful and dirty, everything is so small in it. The pool is also very small. Sunday is party day, which you don't know before you go there, so it's just a noisy party hotel from early afternoon until late night. Tens of people drinking and dancing in the pool so you can't use it and the next day you still can't cause they clean the pool. Most of the time there is nobody in the reception so you have to wait, when the owner is there he just looks at his phone and doesn't pay attention to you. Some workers came to fix something in my room and left the place dirty. Nobody came to clean after that. Really upset, that place could be so great and the ladies staff are smiling and trying their best to compensate but unfortunately it's not enough. Sry for the review, I don't like to be negative but I have to be honest and wish I could have read this before I booked... Just my personal feeling...
The staff was very kind and helpful
The toilet was disgustingly dirty, the cleaning lady tried to clean up regularly, but the shower was in the same room with the toilet and the drainage system was defect.. And extremely overpriced 9$ for a room in a 6er miced dorm
Great location, the pool is like an oasis in Seam reap. Room basic but spacious. Tuk tuk driver organised through the hotel was great, good price and really helpful. Close to market, bars and restaurants. Bar at hotel relaxed! Pool party on Sunday.
Breakfast good, but seemed disorganised. A menu would make things a bit easier. Older rooms are dated - but think they are all being renovated. our room had fridge, our friend in same type room didn't. Place has potential but still getting there.
Not up to the standard of other hotels in Cambodia which charge much less. Bed linen torn, holes in silk cover, tacky room furniture. Toilet leaked day and night. Dogs barking to break your sleep every night. Staff friendly but unreliable when supposed to provide breakfast for early departure. Would not recommend.
Friendly Staff and location
The room was dirty, there was no hot water in the shower and the swimming pool was not very clean.
great location helpful stuff clean rooms
New Pool Table (bought during my stay). Bar area, swimming pool, owner was a cool friendly guy, room was large and clean and the location is just a few minutes walk to the centre of the town but without all the noise.
Dorm room was too hot for me and with only fans running it gets very warm, rent one of the rooms, loads of space, your own shower and its fractionally more expensive.
Owner James is a really sound guy, literally made this place feel like a home from home. The staff are all very helpful and friendly, would go out of their way to help with anything. On site TucTuc drivers that will take you anywhere, including tours round the temples at a lower cost then ur average Driver, which helps a lot and doesnt brake the bank. Swimming pool was a massive bonus.
The rooms The staff The location The pool The bar Pretty much everything!
Pool wasn't clean.
Great location in quiet street close to every thing
Breakfast wasnot so good
This hotel is managed buy two young boys...so they do their best, though is not the super service! These guys are genuine people, and will do their best for you to feel okay...but we to consider the poverty of the country and the lack of means... They sent a tuk tuk to pick us at the airport, and didnt let us pay! at the last day, we had dinner together: we buyed some roasted duck, and they got the beers...around all Asia, this country is the one with more genuine people! About the hotel: beds are super big, and you have the basic confort. The location is perfect, you can walk to all the markets in the city, restaurants and to the PubStreet.
The shower is to short, so you need to be almost seated...Once, the water didnt work, but it was temporary...The breakfast is nothing special..at all!
Nice staff, especially the girls. It's clean, quiet and the location is good.
The first day we arrived the swimmingpool was dirty. Some how the next day it was pretty clean. So luckely we could swim after all. Breakfast was really basic, toast and egg. Because of my wheat allergy I couldn't eat at all.
Good location, friendly staff
Cleaning of pool during my stay, i booked hotel because of pool, no disvount because of that
Friendly staff always quick to laugh and invite you to have a beer, the pool is ok and I got a nice big room.
The bathrooms need updating as does the wifi, no laundry service, no tours, no food menu and $2 for a beer when everywhere else it's $1 max c'mon
location, nice staff
bathtub was broken, not GOOD but OK to stay cheep. a TukTuk driver, who the hotel arranged, was bad.
Nice big spacious rooms with wifi that actually works well enough for clear Skype conversations.
While exceedingly friendly and polite, the staff just doesn't speak English well enough for even slightly out-of-the-ordinary requests.
Good service, good location, good pricen. They give you a pickup at the airport, and then we hired the same tuk tuk for touring the city. Everything ok
The bathrooms need a refresh...everything is a little old and looks unclean, though it is.
