Score from 175 reviews Very good
The price was good. The room was big. The staff was very helpful. The owner speaks very good English.
There was no warm water and no AC. There was an open wire in the shower.
Helpful staff, they arranged tours, buses, tuk tuks. Rooms are good and clean, breakfast is really good ( bread, eggs, fruits and a drink). They have water for refill the bottles
At the first day the hotel was overbooked so I was moved to a dorm room of 6 people ( booked a individual one) - I guess the hotel could organize better it's reservations. Location is not so good. Lots of stairs.
A few minutes from center..Great Staff ...and excellent restaurant in front...Good for 3 days...
music from scholl near...every time..every day
I ended up being put in a six-person dorm room because the hotel gave away the single room that I booked. The dorm room was clean and air conditioned, though small and tight.
That the hotel gave away the room that I booked and stuck me in a 6-person dorm room. The bathroom also needs a table to put belongings on.
Nice clean relaxed place Approachable owner All staff careful with security Quiet part of town
A longish walk from the town, including from cycle hire places No set-up breakfast room, poor quality breakfast Only the owner/manager was au fait with most of what guests would need to know, and he kept strict business hours - this doesn't gel very well in Siem Reap where so much happens very early in the day
The staff is very nice, but quite slow (took 25-30min to get breakfast). The place is clean, comfortable, in a good location and great value for money. Hak (the onwer) is very friendly and helpful
The time they took to get anything done.
It was nice to be away from the market busy area. Conveniently located in a quiet neighbourhood. Good restaurant across the street and cheap bike rentals nearby.
If you're walking in the heat it was a bit tiring.
Everything, value for money
Hak is so friendly and will help you out with anything. The rooms are a good size with comfy beds. The restaurant serves delicious food which is very cheap. This hotel is about 10 mins walk from the night market/pub street.
Price was ok. Bed and shower ok. Breakfast was ok.
Mister Hak had us stay one extra night because he booked us a bus ticket with a scam organization. We told him to book a bus ticket with mekon express to ho xhi minh. But he game up with a strange story, they were not traveling that day, but the next day. We checked it and it seemed he was just lying. Prices in Siem reap are above average.
very clean and tidy.
It is walk-able but you will feel bit far from township especially after dark and when rainy. Be careful to use your credit card since if you can use it depends on who is sitting at reception.
room is big,and soft bed,and the staffs are very friendly!
the location is a little far away from the centre (old market), have to take tuk-tuk there.
Great budget accommodation! Breakfast was amazing and room was everything that was promised in the photos.Wifi was decent and there was Free drinking water the whole time we stayed. hak the manager was really accommodating and nice. He helped us with Bus tickets, Tuk Tuks to visit the temples for a really cheap price. Anything we needed he helped us out with. Not a bad thing to say about this place. Plus an awesome restaurant across the road called chann july with really cheap and nice meals and beer.
The location wasn't too bad, but it was much further away from the centre than advertised - if you are looking to go out at night, it involves walking down a poorly-lit back alley with several loud dogs. Friendly staff, however!
Always stay at Haks while in Siem Reap. Speaks great English and can sort you a ticket to anywhere for cheaper than a lot of the operators around town. Cheep and good food always on offer... See you next year Hak!
Nice, clean, spacious room. The hotel is a bit off the beaten track which makes it more quiet. Very helpful staff. Good choice of delicious food on the menu. Free drinking water is available 24/7. I recommend using hotel-associated tuk-tuk for Angkor tours - driver is very friendly and will not rip you off or scam you.
Wi-Fi is quite slow. Also breakfast could be bigger - for now it's enough for a little girl not for an adult male :)
Great place. Clean, spacious, good wifi, good food and overall good value. Hal is very helpful with pretty much anything you want to do. His English is great. It only took us 10mins to walk at a leisurely pace to the centre so it's not as far as people say. It's quiet with free water top ups too. Tuk Tuks are much cheaper if you book directly through Hal too.
Excellent staff! Very friendly and will help you organize any trips you want to take. He organized a tuk tuk to Angkor Wat and arranged our bus to Phenom Phen for us. I can't praise Hak enough. Great guy, great customer service. Airport pick up available on request. Good free breakfast. Comfortable beds. Located away from the noise of the town center.
Water pressure in the shower was poor. No safety deposit box in the room. Location requires a tuk tuk back to at night as it wouldn't be safe to walk the road in the dark with traffic and no street lighting. Not a major problem but worth mentioning if you are travelling on a strict budget. Tuk tuk cost would be about $3.00.
Hak is very friendly and willing to help with everything you need. Breakfast is included The rooms are big and clean with hot shower Haks house is maybe a 10 mjmute walk from the centre, but we like the quite place
Got excellent help with booking my bus to Phnom Penh. It was cheap. The Wifi worked fine.
The location wasn't great, you had to walk 10 minutes to get to resturants/bars etc. The room was extremely hot, even with the fan at max. Only cold water in the shower. It was some kind of khmer music playing every morning from a speaker nearby the hotel, was like torture.
You can't beat a price like this: 7 dollars a night. Plus, it's comfy and clean. Breakfast is included in the price. Nice! You can arrange any kind of transport or trip from here too. It was a pleasure to stay here.
If I was nit-picking, I might mention that the location is a bit off-centre but you'll be so knackered after temple-treading that it won't matter anyway. Ditto the fact that there's no hot water.
Hak was extremely helpful. The place is also veeery cheap. Food was nice.
15 minutes walking from City Center wasn't too bad but the street was very dark in the night which makes walking back from the City a bit extreme after midnight.
15 minutes walk from old market and night market.
Not mentioned in booking that only more expensive rooms have hot shower, breakfast only from 7am if one goes for an early day trip might miss it, lunch preparation after order takes 45 minutes, for laundry they don't take white cloths.
The cheap rate of the room
Mosquitoes in the lobby and dining area
