Even though I think that the location is excellent, and a welcome relief from the busy touristy temples and town centre, there was still plenty of hustle and bustle to be heard, both from the streets and other guest rising early for temple exploration. So, as a light sleeper, I feel the hotel should be able to offer ear plugs to those who may need them. But honestly, it's a very minor complaint (if you can even call it that).
The staff were a real credit to the hotel, I think that they are what made our stay as great as it was. They could not do enough for us and were always willing to explain, talk, help, inform and SMILE! Our Tuk-Tuk driver we had for the week (provided by the hotel) is a great guy! And was so informative about all the temples we went to see, and ALWAYS made extra suggestions of temples we should visit and when would be best to visit certain ones (especially to avoid the masses of crowds!).
The hotel itself had a great atmosphere. Our room was fantastic. And the pool area was a great relief for us, both before and after temple hunting. The restaurant, well what can I say, GREAT.
Finally, the fact that the hotel is outside of Siem Reap centre was probably a very wise choice. It wasn't as busy and loud as I imagine hotels nearer the centre probably are.
Great people, great place! Would recommend it to anyone wanting to visit this amazing historical site.
