This is an excellent hotel, we would recommend it to everybody. The staff is very helpful, friendly, they really do their best to make the guests feel comfortable. In no other hotel have we experienced so much attention, kindness, care. We are very grateful to all the staff.
Everything was fine.
friendliness of staff who were most helpful. Food generally was good. would recommend it for a stay of a few days.
one poor lunch time meal when it seemed there were a limited number of staff. Bar also ran out of angkor beer and some wines apart from house wine
Staff were great, easy to get around and comfortable rooms
The staff is exceptional, attentive and lovely. The location is far enough off to be relaxing and just a $2 TukTuk ride to anywhere, however, I walked to Pub street a couple times and really enjoyed that. The facilities are well appointed, very comfortable, have a wonderful ambience, and above all, they are restful and relaxing. For the money, this location is a great value, a wonderful hidden retreat and an exceptional find
Nothing. Everything about this property is wonderful.
Very charming and quiet place. You receive a smoothie and fruits upon arrival, which was very pleasant! Both smoothie and fruits were delicious. The place actually has a soul, it is decorated with taste.
The room was very dark, even during day time. Their pillows were high. Their restaurant's prices were extremely high. The waiter made me feel highly uncomfortable, he was standing like a stick, about 1 metre behind myself, watching even single move I was making and ready to jump on me if I looked like I needed something.
I would definitely stay here again. The staff are extremely friendly...the friendliest Ive ever seen at a hotel!
The entire hotel is excellent. The pool, the rooms, the food(breakfast), the service, the way that the staff is always eager to please everyone. All in all: very nice stay. Thank you!
Total tranquillity, a beautiful hotel.... The décor is amazing with interesting artefacts and antiques. The staff are very good and suitably attentive, including the hotel's helpful tuk tuk driver / guide. Other useful info: The breakfast coffee was easily the best we'd had in Southeast Asia. Our room (108) must have been the best in the hotel, book it if you can. Overall, HanumanAlaya was the best hotel we stayed in during our trip of Bangkok, Hanoi, Laos and Cambodia and all our hotels were of a very high standard.
The swimming pool opens a little late (9am) for a pre breakfast swim. Relatively expensive laundry service, starting at 1 USD.
The staff, facilities and the spa facilities
Lovely property and great staff!
All perfect. Friendly and helpful staff, amazing decoration everywhere, with detail, nice pool, very good chef and restaurant (indulge yourself with the lime tart), good location, not in the middle of the crowdy streets but close to everything by tuk tuk. they organise transport to Angkor or whatever you need. Rooms are spacious and confortable bed. A/C works fine and cleaning is inmaculate. All perfect.
Staff were very friendly. Excellent service. Lovely hotel.
Small, comfortable, nice room and bathroom, excellent restaurant, convenient, helpful, friendly staff
We loved everthing about this quaint, well-managed boutique hotel. It was small and beautifully arranged; the pool was lovely and the staff were great. We spent two weeks in Cambodia (3 days at this hotel) and this was by far the best property. We would definitely stay there again and would have no hesitation in recommending it to others.
Nothing - it was a great find.
Staff is awesome. They give you a free drink upon arrival and are very accommodating for arranging tours/transportation. Hotel itself is beautiful. Happy hour for drinks by the pool is cheap and awesome.
Found a dying cockroach in my bathroom. Gross, but bugs are everywhere in Cambodia. Don't blame them much for that one, but some people may be really turned off by that. Beds were also a bit stiff for my tastes.
Friendly, comfortable, good food, quaint, very happy stay Arranged best guide ever!
Friendly staffs, twice room cleaness, beautiful garden and pool, breakfast a la carte.
Far from the centre of the town, 3 US dollars by Tuk tuk, there's nothing to see nearby. Sometimes there's no enough seating around the pool. Wifi is not very good, can't upload photos. The whole experience is good but I think it's a bit over rated on booking.com
Everything is perfect! They even remember our name and room number after check in! They also help us plan the trip and find driver and tour guide, who are all very nice! Make our trip into a fantastic one! oh btw, they even upgrade one of our room for free, lol~
The only downside is that they serve food a little bit slow, but if you are not in a rush, its totally fine since you will have more time to enjoy the beautiful scene by the pool
Very friendly staffs, the breakfast is very good.I like the local style hotel, definitly will recommend others.
Location is not that convienient
Friendly staff. Nice room with comfortable bed, very beautiful decoration with antiques and art objects. Breakfast is simple but enough. The location is half way to Angkor but in a quiet side street. You must take the tuc-tuc to go in town.
The staff was exceptional, the services such as tour guides were excellent, the food was fabulous, and the ambience was beautiful. I would definitely stay there again and wish there were more places in the world like the hanunmanalaya .
It's like home not a hotel, it's so quiet . Everyplace is open space,we really enjoy the open terrace..Displaing furniture is antique Khmer.everythig so interesting. Tuktuk driver , taxi driver is so nice. I will stay here next time!
There is no microwave in the unit. Serving tea at the breakfast is always not hot enough. Extra bed spring is no good cost is $25 per day is little over price.
The hotel was great. Friendly staff and cosy rooms.
Far away from old market but it's only a $2 tuktuk away. :)
Rooms, breakfast, design, atmosphere, helpfulness, wifi
Location - it is more convenient to be walking distance to central Siem Riep (vs 10-15 min tuk tuk ride) Hot tub is not adjacent to pool, it is in a private room in the spa, intended for 2 people, and not free.
+ No noise from the street. + Hotel style.
- Staff seemed not really friendly. - Really dark appearence due to dark floors and doors and lot of plants in the pool area ... - Ugly steel smell and taste of the water tabs. - Bathroom door is really small. I hit my head several times at the bathroom entry with 1,90cm size. - In my mind to expensive.
