A/C seemed to struggle and a few nights were uncomfortably hot. Wireless was awful until we asked about it and they installed a new router in our room.
Lovely staff, great location, beautiful premises. Breakfasts were fantastic and Heritage Adventure Tours exceeded all our expectations with their services.
Beautiful design of public and private areas. Very attentive, professional and friendly service. Excellent breakfast. Good food.
Great boutique hotel, amazing swimming pool, well air conditioned rooms - excellent all round
The wifi in room The accessibility of the hotel The aircon in the room The frequent power outage
The staff (especially F&B) The style of the hotel The food
Somewhat out of town, requiring tuk-tuk to get into town and back. Standard rooms were large and comfortable but with no outlook. Breakfast on the stingy side, with micro-portions of fruit, butter and jam - a buffet would feel more generous.
We loved the complimentary shuttle from the airport in the 1970 Mercedes, and we enjoyed the personal service offered by this small boutique hotel. The pool was superb and the poolside Cambodian bbq (Tuesday evenings) with show was magical. The hotel itself is an oasis, although the area around it is a bit noisy. The temple visit organised by the in-house agent was very good.
There is nothing to be disliked at this hotel! Chapeau to the management
The excellent and well trained staff The property The service The location
Pool area is very noisy - school on one side and construction on the other which brings in a lot of dust. No gym. Dark room. Try to upsell you on very pricey Angkor tours when really should be very inexpensive to hire tuktuk. Not really a deluxe five star experience but very nice for area.
Hotel has a ton of charm and nice touches. Service is excellent and the staff is incredibly attentive. Hotel rooms are cute and spacious.
The hotel only has 26 rooms, which means that the staff are able to offer a personalized service to each guest. The hotel also has its own in-house tour and adventure operator - perfect for a first time visitor. The airport transfer in a vintage Mercedes was amazing too!
very good service throughout (airport transfer with vintage car, excursions, breakfast, restaurant recommendations & bookings etc.); flexibility regarding room use on departure day; extremely helpful and friendly staff; their social engagement and last but not least a good sized and well equipped pool; we had a fantastic time at this hotel!!!
Weak WiFi - not a big deal though.
The atmosphere, the interior design , the swimming pool , the services, not a single faux pas from the side of the staff... There is a beautiful shop on site and after having seen many shops in Siem Reap as it was our 4th time in this locality, we can say the prices are similar to others for the same quality level. Tours were impeccably organized , expensive though ... but I guess there are no free meals.... TV is on demand , which is actually brilliant and saved us from our bad urban addictive manners.... The only little tiny problem was the WiFi which was weak - but we had 3G so we managed...
Unreliable wi-fi in rooms (fair enough). Quite expensive if you don't get an offer, but you get what you pay for!
Super staff, lovely property, good food, great ambience.
The only negative I can think of is that slightly bigger cupboards, or maybe more shelves would have been nice.
This was a small hotel with a warm ambience away from the big resorts and crowded centre but just a short tuk tuk ride from all the buzz. Marcum restaurant is one block away if u want to walk. (Yum). Would return to the Heritage suites without hesitation. We enjoyed the attentive staff, the small details like having mosquito repellent in the rooms and being brought a glass of water every time we sat down. The restaurant's food and wine was excellent! Remember to ask for a breakfast box if u are heading out for the sunrise. Delicious breakfast, beautifully served both in the hotel and in the box. Comfortable pool area which we did use in the afternoons after temple sightseeing had exhausted us.
Room was loud Window to the floor
Very friendly staff Good breakfast Nice atmosphere Perfect pool Very nice boutique hotel!
No real negatives for the hotel itself. Chose your season according to your preferences. Low season sees fewer visitors along with higher temps and potential for rain. High season boasts more comfortable temps but more tourists clamoring for tours, tuk-tuks, restaurants, etc.
The staff was attentive and well trained. In house dining was very good and well planned. Even though the hotel is located a few minutes away from Seim Reap proper, the staff would either provide a free shuttle or would locate a tuk-tuk within minutes. Small details were not overlooked - local artwork in the facility, hand-made soaps in the room, turn-down service in the evening. Community involvement was also evident. Local vocational training is supported by the hotel.
Everything, more particularly the personal service (people helped me to find a new plug for my iPad in Siem Reap)
Pool was a little small, food and drinks were a little expensive (only by local standards), shower was very dark
Service, small personal touches, cuisine
We loved our stay at the Heritage Suites hotel. The hotel is quirky and cool and fun to stay at. The manager Magnus is very friendly and personally greets all of the guests to the hotel. One of the greatest things about the hotel was the massive restaurant and bar that you enter after reception. They've got a friendly team serving behind the bar, which can be busy with hotel guests and expats. On Thursdays they organise jazz night which has a different group of musicians playing every week. When we were there, they had a Cambodian jazz singer, backed up by a French and Russian band, they were fabulous - to the standard of a band that you'd hear in a large capital city like London or Paris. The salt water swimming pool is also great for a bit of R&R. The hotel has a team that organise tours for guests, which we used. They organised a wonderful tour of the main temples with a Cambodian guide for our first day. On our second day we wanted something out of the ordinary and adventurous, so they organised a tour with a Belgian guide who speaks the local language and has lived in Siem Reap for 10 years. We went to the country side and visited some local villages and out of the way temples and the climbed to the top of a mountain to view some other temples, covering more than 14kms in a day! It was a great two days and we learned a lot about Cambodia and the history and culture. I highly recommend booking a tour if you get a chance.
We loved the traditional feel of this hotel whilst still modern. Staff were very attentive and friendly.
Great chef, varied evening entertainment (dancers; jazz quartet; bbq by the pool), very friendly and helpful staff, professional spa services.etc. We coudn't have been more pleased with the facilities, the people and the service!
Rooms are simple with only window looking at the hall way
beautifull lobby, good food and drinks, nice breakfast area and great pick-up service with oldtimer Mercedes
