Boasting beautiful Khmer architecture and peaceful landscaped grounds, this Siem Reap hotel is just 10 minutes’ walk from the Old Market. Its spacious rooms overlook a lotus pond and garden.
Score from 94 reviews Excellent
The atmosphere, the interior design , the swimming pool , the services, not a single faux pas from the side of the staff... There is a beautiful shop on site and after having seen many shops in Siem Reap as it was our 4th time in this locality, we can say the prices are similar to others for the same quality level. Tours were impeccably organized , expensive though ... but I guess there are no free meals.... TV is on demand , which is actually brilliant and saved us from our bad urban addictive manners.... The only little tiny problem was the WiFi which was weak - but we had 3G so we managed...
Weak WiFi - not a big deal though.
Super staff, lovely property, good food, great ambience.
Unreliable wi-fi in rooms (fair enough). Quite expensive if you don't get an offer, but you get what you pay for!
This was a small hotel with a warm ambience away from the big resorts and crowded centre but just a short tuk tuk ride from all the buzz. Marcum restaurant is one block away if u want to walk. (Yum). Would return to the Heritage suites without hesitation. We enjoyed the attentive staff, the small details like having mosquito repellent in the rooms and being brought a glass of water every time we sat down. The restaurant's food and wine was excellent! Remember to ask for a breakfast box if u are heading out for the sunrise. Delicious breakfast, beautifully served both in the hotel and in the box. Comfortable pool area which we did use in the afternoons after temple sightseeing had exhausted us.
The only negative I can think of is that slightly bigger cupboards, or maybe more shelves would have been nice.
Very friendly staff Good breakfast Nice atmosphere Perfect pool Very nice boutique hotel!
Room was loud Window to the floor
The staff was attentive and well trained. In house dining was very good and well planned. Even though the hotel is located a few minutes away from Seim Reap proper, the staff would either provide a free shuttle or would locate a tuk-tuk within minutes. Small details were not overlooked - local artwork in the facility, hand-made soaps in the room, turn-down service in the evening. Community involvement was also evident. Local vocational training is supported by the hotel.
No real negatives for the hotel itself. Chose your season according to your preferences. Low season sees fewer visitors along with higher temps and potential for rain. High season boasts more comfortable temps but more tourists clamoring for tours, tuk-tuks, restaurants, etc.
Everything, more particularly the personal service (people helped me to find a new plug for my iPad in Siem Reap)
Service, small personal touches, cuisine
Pool was a little small, food and drinks were a little expensive (only by local standards), shower was very dark
We loved our stay at the Heritage Suites hotel. The hotel is quirky and cool and fun to stay at. The manager Magnus is very friendly and personally greets all of the guests to the hotel. One of the greatest things about the hotel was the massive restaurant and bar that you enter after reception. They've got a friendly team serving behind the bar, which can be busy with hotel guests and expats. On Thursdays they organise jazz night which has a different group of musicians playing every week. When we were there, they had a Cambodian jazz singer, backed up by a French and Russian band, they were fabulous - to the standard of a band that you'd hear in a large capital city like London or Paris. The salt water swimming pool is also great for a bit of R&R. The hotel has a team that organise tours for guests, which we used. They organised a wonderful tour of the main temples with a Cambodian guide for our first day. On our second day we wanted something out of the ordinary and adventurous, so they organised a tour with a Belgian guide who speaks the local language and has lived in Siem Reap for 10 years. We went to the country side and visited some local villages and out of the way temples and the climbed to the top of a mountain to view some other temples, covering more than 14kms in a day! It was a great two days and we learned a lot about Cambodia and the history and culture. I highly recommend booking a tour if you get a chance.
We loved the traditional feel of this hotel whilst still modern. Staff were very attentive and friendly.
Great chef, varied evening entertainment (dancers; jazz quartet; bbq by the pool), very friendly and helpful staff, professional spa services.etc. We coudn't have been more pleased with the facilities, the people and the service!
beautifull lobby, good food and drinks, nice breakfast area and great pick-up service with oldtimer Mercedes
Rooms are simple with only window looking at the hall way
very professional staff, good restaurant,so nice airport welcome.
Our building was located at 3 feet from a local street with very poor noise insulation from our room!
Relaxing oasis providing a place where we could reflect on our experiences within the temples. The property is well cared for and picturesque and is in a great location. Everything from the momnet we were picked up from the airport in a 1969 Mercedes was a delight. The room was zen like and the ammenity of a bath and outside shower was enjoyed by us both. We enjoyed the restaurant and the poolside breakfast. We would recommend to our friends.
Nothing to complain about
Beautiful colonial atmosphere. Gorgeous restaurant and bar. Amazingly friendly staff. Wonderful food. Great value. Would never stay anywhere else when in Siem Reap. Loved our stay!!
Rooms slightly rustic. Loved our stay, but if you're looking for real 5-star, it's a bit lower.
The hotel is fantastic and have a nice atmosphare. We loved it.
Spacious, not overdone, comfortable. Staff was helpful and friendly.
The minibar didn't work - not cold or even cool. Only 2 thin bars of soap were provided for 2 people, 2 nights.
