My hotel room had a smell, I had to beg for a towel. Showers are cold and the bathtub was dirty. I am not sure if the owner understands that every three years he/ she must paint the property, fix the showers and request the maids to where hair nets while cleaning? Not sure if the owner understands that a room that is truly cleaned will not have cob webs in the corners. I stayed one night and left!
I only enjoyed the free wifi.

No wifi in the rooms
Outside garden is amazing and the staff is always very helpful
February 27, 2015
Hot water and wifi not working.bed dirty.although they speak english well, the receptionist "forgets" simple requests like a new towel.
Nice garden to relax and have a drink, with a restaurant
February 8, 2015
everything worn (no hot water, fly screen broken) Bad was very disgusting. Receptionist sold way to expensive tours and has always an eye on his drivers in front of the door so that you have no chance to make your own appointments.
sweet Garden Good inclusive breakfast Price ok
February 5, 2015
Only cold water (broken), wifi only at the terrace and downstairs
Terrace, restaurant&tables downstairs, bike rental and tra el agency in the same street, nice staff, quiet place and also good room service with clean towels every day and laundry service
February 3, 2015
There are a lot of mosquitoes in the garden. No Wifi in the rooms.
The staffs are friendly. It is a nice place to stay. :)

The water is full of rust, you can smell it on your skin and feel it on your hair. We did not book in advance for first night, then realised if booking through booking.com that we'd get free breakfast for the duration of our stay. The staff agreed that if we booked via the website we would get free breakfast, then were rude to us every morning telling us we had to pay. Further, the other bed in the twin room was a rather uncomfortable single.
There was a comfy double bed in our twin room.

The location is good except for the unpaved access road (which is not the guest-house's fault). Mr Sok Tith, the man in charge of the desk, is very helpful without being intrusive. The twin room is comfortably sized for two full-size beds. A great value for money (and they provide free bottled water, too).

Great potential but missed the mark. checked in and no one knew what to do. Room had not been cleaned after previous guest. Bed was worn out piece of foam that was falling apart.
Breakfast is good if you get there early. If not its cold and has flies all over. Is a beautiful building with large rooms.

The breakfast buffet was usually cold. The road in front could destroy a good pair of shoes in no time.
An assist mgr, Pally, was very informative and helpful. The garden area gave you that "homey" feeling; the price was very good value for the $. Taking off your shoes before entering the building contributed to the overall cleanliness

Only cold water in the shower and a bit far away from the "happening" but still acceptable location for the money.
Friendly, helpful staff. Nice area for the money but you had to walk 10-15 minutes if you want restaurants in the evening. Nice road to walk on though. Clean room and nice terrace.

December 19, 2014
The hot water is not working good.
Clean room with good service, The manager are friendly also the staff. The breakfast was perfect.
December 10, 2014
Bedding was not ideal. Bathroom was grotesque- water smells like metal. Do not brush your teeth with the water. Staff was honestly kind of invasive sometimes...like annoyingly. They lecture you about getting ripped off and always ask you what you are doing. No wifi in rooms.
Staff is friendly and do try REALLY HARD to help you not get ripped off. Price was okay. Pickup from bus station--free, so yay. Restaurant staff is friendly. Food is pretty good.

we arrived after travelling on the night bus from phonm penh, wanted to shower and relax the room was right beside the balcony which was nice but very thin curtains, at breakfast half the dinning area out the front was not cleaned from night before so we were shown where we could sit and $5 each we got a pancake which was ok and a stale baguette then the tea arrives and coffee no milk or sugar and when we finally got it my tea was nearly cold ( there was only 1 other guy there who went across the road to get food. we were told it's another $2 to have hot water in the shower so we went up to relax and the room had black dots on roof which turned out to be lots of bugs in room few in bathroom and it was just not a good experience we stayed in all 2 hours and checked out to find another place to stay the night not a good start to our siem reap travels
the staff were friendly

Start from begining:The room were awfully dirty! (We changed 2 room and also talking with our neighbor) The bedcovers were damaged and old! bathroom was ugly and cover with a rust.We saw that in past it was nice place with great wooden furniture, but personal is not take care of it...Also staff try to sell us bus tickets to Phnom Pehn wiht horrible overprice!normally tickets are 8$ per person for night bus,but they talking about 20$!!!(let it be 10-11$ Its Ok,but not 20$!!!)VIP tickets in Home Sweet Home are 25$,but realy 11$,may be less, cause we bought it in another agency...
The guesthouse's garden was nice.that's all.

Home Sweet Home is definitely a nice place to stay in in Siem Reap. Vast and clean rooms, beautiful garden and fair price make it a place you would really like to stay in. We stayed in "Home Sweet home" for three days. The staff of the hostel is really helpful and pleasant, wifi is available and they have magnificent breakfasts. Localization is also very good - 10 minutes walk from the center and night market. The reception of the hostel provides various service – you can buy a ticket to Phnom Pen, go to a massage and hire a tuk – tuk to travel around Angkor. The hostel has few drivers - we travelled with Mr Wang, who is helpful and careful driver, speaks English very good and is very kind and professional person.

Staff are pushy to book trips/tours/buses with them and they do not book bus tickets for the more reputable companies like Gaint ibis. You have to take your shoes off in the hotel but the floors are not clean so this really annoyed me. Wifi only at the front of the hotel on a balcony. Located on a side street that is a dirt road. Food is poor, meat is processed eg. Canned bacon. The place next door does decent food. There is no fridge in the room. Bathroom door did not close.
The rooms are very big. The hotel is ok for the money, in general we found accommodation very expensive in Cambodia compared to Thailand and not of the same standard. The location is ok, there are lots of guest houses and hotels around but not many shops and restaurants. You are about an easy ten min walk to pub street and we walked there and back every night, I think a taxi would be about $1 but it's a nice walk along the river. Negoitate a rate of about $10 to go to Ankgor for the day with a tuk tuk outside just make sure you know where you want to go as they will try and skip a few places. Wifi works well in public areas. Bed is big, sheets do not fit it, mattress is just a foam block and too soft (can't believe I'm saying a bed was too soft in Asia, reminded me of an old couch).

water smell iron (but to so bad) wi fi not in room
staff proximity (10 min walk max)
