Loved the location by the river and away from busy Pub Street area. The fresh flowers on the beds are the kind of welcoming detail so common in SE Asia, and I just wished La Noria would add a few more of such details. Their recommended tuktuk driver, Mr Kein, was fantastic. The restaurant is very good and the traditional dance and shadow puppet show by the children of Krousar Thmey is a must. This NGO does extraordinary work and needs more support, as Cambodia is being hit by massive price hikes. La Noria generates a lot of funds for KT so please stay there just for that!
Just felt that, while the hotel is good and the staff always say hello, they could go a little extra length to make me feel welcome. Couldn't get a restaurant recommendation or even a brief chat from reception! The rooms at the back are close to a busy road which has bus or truck traffic and I had to ask to move rooms. I was given a much quieter room in the middle of the garden.
I have stayed at La Noria before. I prefer staying in a smaller style hotel rather than the mega hotels that are taking over Siem Reap. It is very pretty, lots of luscious plants and the pool area is very relaxing. The location is perfect for me, out of the busy noisy centre but only a short bike ride away from the old market. Lots of amazing restaurants within walking distance. Rooms are big, air con is great, wifi works the majority of the time. Great fresh juices by the pool.
They charge a massive 3% surcharge for paying with a card, claiming that the banks charge them this to process the payment. This is really excessive and I used card throughout my stay without any surcharge elsewhere. It was very disappointing to be faced with this at the end of a lovely trip and the lack of apology or even acknowledgement left me not wanting to stay there again unfortunately.
it's all fine, except the reception lady...don't know why she doesn't like to smile
the shower water is not hot enough in the early morning
The pool was fantastic and clean. The staff are all lovely.
The bathroom is poorly thought out as the water goes everywhere. Only about two power points in our room and one was only for shavers and the other one was behind the bed.
A good quiet location within 10/15 minutes walk into town. Staff and friendliness were great. Very pleasant garden surrounding the rooms all centred around the pool which was lovely. Easy tuk-tuk access to Angkor Wat. Facilities were generally good and all that could reasonably be expected at the price. A hotel that is recommended and will be re-visited again.
It would have been nice if an improved snack menu was provided. The main meals available were all good and the choices very satisfactory but a little let down by a lack of available snacks if required during the day but this is not a major issue.
nice facilities ten minutes walk from center. nice garden friendly staff
small fridge is would added value to the room
Staff Location Price Information Restaurant menu selection and prices very reasonable
Shower facilities need attention Occasional smoking in restaurant by clientele
Wonderful salt water pool and quiet tropical gardens. Nice comfy bed.
The shower was a bit disappointing
Friendly and helpfull staff, big rooms and semi-private balcony, if something didn`t work the staff fixed it immidiately. Good restaurant and breakfast but quite expensive as everything in this town.
No refrigerator in the room, rooms on the second floor have pretty steep stairs wich you have to climb but for people in a good condition, no problem.
The swimming pool and the gardens
Some of the staff were not always helpful and had a poor level of English. There were some organisational issues such as breakfast not ready at 6 am as stated and unreliability of TucTuc drivers arranged by hotel. Our room had poor storage facilities and the electric showers was inadequate.
Everthing, the location by the river and not far from the center yet still in a quiet area, the place in itself is beautiful, the staff is very professional and friendly, it's clean, swimming pool and massage are just perfect, AND they care about the environment and children of Cambodia (don't miss the Khmer classic dance organised for a children foundation, it is a very good show). I will come back for sure!
Great location in a quiet spot but just a 15 minute walk into the centre along the river. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent food. Would certainly recommend.
I liked the interior of the hotel
I did not like the location very much as one side facing the busy road so did not sleep well
Very nice area with a lot of lovely plants. Friendly staff and nice, clean and calme rooms. NIce with the pool and the posibility for massage with fair charge.
Bungalow style villas in lovely garden setting. Quiet location. Excellent restaurant. Nice feel to the place. Nice shampoo & shower gel.
Only one power point in room which was near the floor so had to put kettle on floor to use it. Bathroom was a wet room with a hand held shower fitting, so care was needed to avoid getting everything wet, but you got used to it.
Setting, appearance, staff, restaurant- all very good. Compared to other places I saw in Siem Reap, this place has true ambience. Show by the children was nice, reasonable.
Hard beds! Drain for shower in the bathroom in wrong place, floor by toilet always wet.
La Noria is a beautiful place to stay, the rooms got space, the beds are divine to sleep in, and everything is bright clean. The restaurant, the swimming pool, and the massage treats you wonderfully. The staff is very friendly and make you feel safe. I'll book again next time I'll go to Siem reap. 100 % perfect ****
A little problem in my bathroom, the toilets broke, but this can happen, and they fixed them in less than 12 hours.
The staff was friendly. I love the décor n cleanliness of the place. Restaurant was good. The traditional shadow play and dance shows were good.
Lovely, helpful staff.Very relaxing space with beautiful gardens. Not too close to city centre but walking distance.Food very good.Able to book trips, guides, transport etc through staff at hotel.
Wifi poor reception, showers ideally would be more powerful but hot which was good.
Friendliness and efficiency of staff Good restaurante Environment of hotel
The toilet and shower in need of improvements
Perfect setting among gardens with excellent staff and restaurant. Great pool for cooling off after sightseeing.
Very charming hotel for people who don't need luxury. Rooms are basic, but find. All rooms are located around a palm garden with swimming pool, lovely. The massage done by blind people is good as well and reasonable priced. Fine restaurant. I you can live with no refrigerator and TV and weak WIFI in some areas, this place is Highly recommended
- Great Location - Very good value - Lovely Swimming pool
- The lady on the front desk is very helpful, an smile would have made it perfect
Tout, mais très bon restaurant.
