The friendly and honest staff as well as the unique setting. We visited a strange place but in Maison 557 we felt that we were in safe hand.
We would like a bit more choice for the breakfast though this is by no means a negative mark.
This was one of the best Hotels we ever visited. Jeff was so helpful and kind. No doubt that we recommend it to everyone.
the facilities and staff were excellent. Just a couple blocks from the markets. Very comfortable room, quiet pool, good fresh breakfast.
Our pool had a private pool and breakfast was served outside every morning. Also the staff was excellent and always prepared to find solutions to any need or request.
The mattress was a bit on the harder side and the pillow too thick, which is not my perfect choice but still fine.
We've sayed at Maison557 for 3days trip to Anchor. It is absolutely perfect place - silent, good taste designed, comfortable rooms, where you can feel individualy cared by very friendly owner and every person of Cabodian staff. Very profesional and familiar place - We hardly recomend
Very kind owner and employees. The owner was out of town, but had left us a hand written card to welcome us. The atmosphere of the room with the private pool is really great. There's a separate sitting and sleeping area and the TV has long enough cables to be wheeled from one to the other. Great breakfast next to the pool and coffee made fresh throughout the day upon request.
We expected the private pool to be more 'private'. There are big openings in the wall separating the private garden from the shared one and we had someone walk passed the window multiple times which got us to close the curtains when taking a shower and eventually checking out early.
- Location - General facilities - Staff especially Jeff the manager who treated us like family - Great breakfast
Nothing at all
Our stay at Maison 557 was just perfect from start to finish. The room was amazing, great pool and very relaxing space to come back after a long day. Jeff was an amazing host and could not do enough for us. He help us organising our Tuk Tuk driver and guide, recommended places to go for dinner, helps us print our visa for following trip and even when one friend got sick he was kind enought to make her some tea and give her some hydratating salts so she could take on our trip. We cannot recommend this lovely establishment highly enough.
Everything was just perfect - the people, the staff, the location, the breakfast, the great help...
That I had to leave...
Jeff gave us a detailed itinerary via email and even though he couldn't be there he had arranged everything with his staff. The location, the relaxing property, fantastic breakfasts plus Borin being so helpful made our impression of Siem Reap a fantastic memory. This little gem is one to definitely recommend.
Fantastic and romantic boutique hotel, at a few minutes from the center. The staff very kind, room very clean and a deam of swimming pool. Heathy breakfast in an intemate place.
The stay was perfect. The accommodations were beyond belief. The whole team was great. Transportation great. I saw Phare and it was exciting, inspiring and fun. I did some shopping at Kokoon, Smarteria, Garden of Desire, and oohhhh...I'm not going to remember the name....shop that's made of all glass (there's a second one next to McDermott's second gallary), owned by a French woman. I also popped in and did a little shopping at Trunkh and met the owner Douglas. Oh, I did eat at Hive and the roasted vegetable salad was off the chain!! Got a manicure at Body Tune - wonderful. I also got a massage at Kaya-- b/c I got a coupon at Kokoon! It was high quality and I would recommend it. I didn't get to do any interesting dining (other than Hive) as I was pooped every night and skipped dinner twice! Son (sp) and his driver were fabulous as a guide for the temples. We saw three and had a lunch at a home stay restaurant. He did a great job of keeping me a way from the mobs. The temples were simply breathtaking. He is a funny guy and the day went too fast. I'm pretty self-sufficient as a tourist but it would not have been HALF AS WONDERFUL without his facilitation, knowledge, humor and AIR CONDITIONING! Worth every penny. Anna is a gem. Great welcome and reception. Great advice...saved me time and frustration b/c I was able to find exactly what I wanted! Siem Reap was just fantastic and it was so lovely to come home to the sanctuary of Maison 557. (Its decorated very similarly to my place so I was very cozy!) The lovely people of Cambodia and my stay in Siem Reap will give me memories for a life time. Thanks for offering such a wonderful option for travelers.
Kind, interested, flexible, and accommodating. This place was the perfect end to our honeymoon. A cancelled flight was no problem for them as they just shifted our booking.com "no modification" reservation to the next day. He even let us late check out at midnight for no added fee. The location is walkable from downtown, but a tuk tuk is less than 5 minutes drive and no more than $2. Breakfast is impressive, service is fantastic, and our receptionist/concierge/breakfast waiter/owner really made the experience that much more enjoyable.
The manager Jeff and his staff made us feel v. much at home from the moment we arrived. There seemed to be no time restraint whatsoever when assisting us getting our itinerary sorted. .
Only one small thing in that our deluxe room was looking a bit tired in the day time. Fans and mosquito net were a bit dusty. Needed a detailer in the house keeping department .This in no way distracted from a very pleasing visit.
Our visit to Maison 557 satisfied us in every way! The architecture and landscaping with a strong French influence is simultaneously stylish and relaxing.Everything is made possible with no obvious effort, a clear reflection of a positive attitude, experience and local knowledge. The sumptuous breakfasts, refreshing pool, beautiful room and gorgeous surrounds made this a place we will keep in our memories always. Thank you for your kindness and thoughtfulness, Jeff and your loyal and friendly staff. Jakki and Rod McLean.
Perfect room, beautiful surroundings, delicious breakfast, great location. I brought my mother there for a vacation and she couldn't stop complimenting Maison 557 when we got back. Also, Jeff is very helpful and friendly- even offered me medicine and useful advice when my foot got an infection. Thank you Jeff! Will definitely recommend others to stay here.
The wifi wasn't very stable during our stay.
Jeff and his staff were friendly, available, and extremely helpful. The hotel itself was beautiful, comfortable, charming, and in a perfect location.
Beautiful guest house, extremely well managed with a small friendly group of staff. Great links with friendly transportation and tour services, you are looked after on every level. I will and all ready have recommended this establishment to other individuals. You will not be disapointed
As we approached the hotel in the taxi arranged but not paid for by the hotel , I thought what have we booked. The road was extremely rough and the area seemed extremely run down . In front of us was a white wall with an open padlocked gate. Beyond the gate in the white wall a slightly open door enticing the curious in. As we walked through we were greeted by an oasis. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, always smiling. They put us in touch with Mr Kim the tuk tuk driver and guide who speaks good English and has the best local knowledge. The bedroom was a delight, looking out through a green foliage pelmit over the pool. Breakfast was served outside in the shade of the verandah. We were sorry to leave this delightful sanctuary.
The location was a bit rough but in a tuk tuk easy access to the main areas of the city.Should put you off
Everything was perfect... Wonderful personalized service, well appointed rooms, felt like we were returning to our private oasis at the end of each day. Jeff and staff were so accommodating and Jeff's recommendations and arrangements only helped make our stay in Siem Reap that much more memorable. Highly recommend!
Jeff is an amazing host with an incredible story and a deep love for travel. Get to know him! I wish we had stayed here for a week instead of two nights.
Jeff was a good host and well supported by excellent local staff.
Instant coffee and limited range of breakfast unless you like lots of bread! Air conditioning poor and pool looks dated and lacks lighting. Room lacked fridge,TV and tea/coffee facilities. Room was infested with mosquitoes at night ( not helped by poor AC). Overall poor value for money at $90/night compared to what we got for $90/night elsewhere.
Thank you Jeff for the magnificent time we had in Maison 557! Everything was perfect, and when it was not, sure you made it perfect very fast! We enjoyed everything, from the beautiful room to the delicious mangoes that fell from the trees in the cosy garden! Breakfast was super and the service excellent. We also did a bike tour with grasshopper tours and loved it very much.
Almost everything about it. The owner -Jeff and his team arranged everything for us and with good tips where to eat etc. The breakfast was awesome and healthy especially the muesli . will definitely recommending this place . Even though the AC got a little problems, it was taken care immediately.
a small fridge would be great ,after the hot day outside ,would like to go back to cool drinks in the room.
Everything. Jeff and his team were absolutely wonderful, service was attentive without being intrusive. Our whole experience was fantastic and wouldn't hesitate to recommend anyone to stay in Maison 557.
