Internet in rooms was dreadful.Ok near pool dexk and bar. Very poor lighting throughout. Not uncommon in Cambodia but really, a big problem when trying to use the mirror in the bathroom at night as you cannot see a thing. Limited options for breakfast, mainly eggs and these tended to be overcooked. Fruit juices watery and unpleasant and coffee is not great. No food service for lunch or dinner. Crab market (yawn) has a smattering of a dozen or so of poor to so so restaurants and is 20 metres across the road but again limited options for those of us with shell fish allergy. Sailing club is a reasonable walk away and food here is the best in Kep. Maintenance needs more attention. Wooden doors on runners that stick and warping of the wood due to the tropical weather meant getting into the room was difficult as doors get stuck. Similarly, light globes not tested on checkout and given the lighting is so poor, you really must make sure what is there is actually functional. Heavy rain over two nights resulted in small leaks in the roof of my room, fortunately not over the bed or TV! Must have cash to settle bill as no cards acceoted. This means a trek into the beach area of Kep to access the one and only ATM. Fortunately the ATM was functional as murphys law tells you if it is going to malfunction it will pick a holiday period to do it!
Beautiful garden setting and staff willing to help as best they can. Stayed here for four days during Khmer New Year and enjoyed spectacular views across the Gulf of Thailand from a very beautiful pool deck. The suite I occupied included a private terrace and plunge pool with daily housekeeping of the room done to a high standard. Aircon is excellent,
