Excellent location, good but small swimming pool and rooftop bar, beautiful woodwork and sculpture everywhere, comfortable bed, amazing deal.
Wi-fi was spotty but hey, it's free wi-fi in Southeast Asia.
internet was pretty much fast
too expensive for the rooms with so old and poor conditions. The worth is the bathroom, sink is so small that you have to brush your teeth using the shower hosepipe, the water stream so slow that it took me one hour to take a shower. furniture, facilities are too old................
Entering the hotel feels lovely, the pool area on the rooftop is great too (apart from the fact that looks a lot bigger on the photographs than it really is), the waiters are really friendly (but sometimes don't speak English well enough to understand extra wishes), the breakfast buffet is fresh and offers a reasonable range of items
We paid 165$ for three nights and expected the standard to be a lot higher, given that we had already stayed in guesthouses for 15$ (!!) in Cambodia and the standard of the rooms was the same. Don't expect anything from the bathroom, it is basic and old and the shower is right next to the toilet and everything is soaked when you take one. When we complained, we were calmed down with a massage (which costs 8$ per hour) and it was extremely bad too. Even though they are friendly and smile, the receptionists mostly cannot really help out as they sometimes seem to be lost for solutions or answers. In short - you will find much better options for that kind of money.
Friendly and helpful staff.Room is spacious with a comfortable bed. Only had breakfast once during our stay but was tasty and a varied choice. Loved the roof top pool, though hard to get a lounger! 10-15 min stroll to the main centre.
Hard to get lounger
Staff are genuinely warm and friendly.
The wet room was dangerous as the floor wasn't level and wouldn't drain. Not v hygienic either. Internet very slow and cumbersome. Complimentary pick up from airport didn't show.
Staff, brekkie, decor, rooftop pool and restaurant. We arrived 6am on night bus and they put us in a room within half an hour which we were grateful for.
Wifi not consistent 3 night stay and room not cleaned, made up each day (maybe I was supposed to ask?)
Everything! Nice atmosphere and interior design. Swimmingpool on the rooftop. Good food and shakes at reasonable prices. Very hospitable staff. It was a pleasure to stay there!
We never found out hiw to get hot water in the shower, but it was our own fault, cause we didn't ask. The breakfast was very good but when we came at 9 o'clock some things in the buffet seemed a little bit 'sold out' (and the aints were very aggressive on the buffet too, but we are getting to know the small bastards, and we know it only takes a minute for them to form a highway when there is something they like)
The stay was ok. Rooms have nice Khmer decor.
The shower wasn't powerful enough. Took us quite some time to take a shower - plus the ventilator in the washroom wasn't working, the air was still and quite stuffy.
the staff and the style
included breakfast rather poor. coffee undrinkable. toilet leaking - no cold water
Staffs are friendly and helpful. The location is quite and safe. The tuk tuk bikes are always at front-door.
Nice, always smiling staff, welcome greeting with cold lemoniade, great swimming pool and comfortable rooms.
First place we stayed in Cambodia and it was like staying with family. All staff could not do enough for you. Organised our two tuk tuk drivers who stayed with us all day at temples showing us around and finding good places for lunch. Mr Yen and his young partner looked after us like royalty. Nice rooftop area to sit and relax in eve. Comfy bed and hot showers and quiet district for sleeping. Reception staff also very helpful. Would def recommend. Short tuk tuk to main centre, would be too hot to walk anyway!
First of all the staff! Very friendly very kind. Our driver chan ti!! The pool and rooftop bar. Never expected that it looks even better like on the photos. So if I come back to siem reap I'll go there again.
That I had to leave :-)
We felt so welcome at Okay 1. From the moment we walked in we were given a free drink of sollen drink and a wet cloth to freshen up. We made (what seemed to be) genuine friendships with the staff who shared many laughs with us. The rooms were clean and good value for money. The pool was under maintenance but this was the slightest inconvenience. I'd defiantly stay here again.
I couldn't take the female receptionist home with me. And we felt sad leaving such amazing hosts
The staffs are so kind and helpful. They serve delicious food and also relaxing massage in the villa. (much more better than in city centre). Lovely beds, extremely comfortable. although it's a little bit far from the night market, but you get a better sleeping quality.
many bugs on the ceiling the last day.
Really happy with this hotel. Lovely rooms, friendly staff and nice pool. Hotel is a little bit out of the town centre but they have a great group of tuk tuk drivers to get you there as well as to the temples etc. Big shout out to Mr. Om who was fantastic! Kept thinking the place seemed way better than it was priced. Great choice.
Roof top swimming pool Staff very friendly Location facilities Environment Everything
all of it , especially mr Hong at the front
Hong at the front desk...was quite wonderful, speaks and understands english perfectly . I wanted to take him home :) All the other staff were great as well. The pool on the roof was a bonus after a long hot day . Getting your laundry done was also easy..they weigh it, wash it, fold it and cheap too. Breakfast being included was good too and they were very easy on times as well. I would reccomend the villas TukTuk drivers as well rather than organising your own. Remember to take your shoes off when you enter, and if you forget they do not make a fuss about it.. If I go back to Cambodia again it is number 1 on my list for budget accomodation..even if you are not on a budget
only having 24 hours in a day.
Staffs are all friendly. My room was clean. The facade of hotel and wooden interior were gorgeous.
They had their contracted tuk tuk drivers we can hire for a day. Their skills and character are very different. For the first day, a driver, Lyna, was very helpful. He gave us cold drinks from his icebox. Very careful at reduce speed at bumps. Another day, another driver, Phallal, who drove roughly and kept asking length of time we would consume at each ruin and money for afternoon driving. That was really annoying and spoiled fun.
The Lobby, the rooftop pool, the room, the staff..
Welcomed by drinks and introduction of the city. Big room and toilet. Got a lift in the hotel, lovely roof top with restaurant and a pool, not very big though. Improved breakfast options (based on the reviews of food people left). Kind staffs.
the wifi wasn't very fast most of the times. Took ages for kitchen to serve at the last meal... the pool sometimes got some tiny bugs in.
The pool is a great place to cool off after a day at the temples. Really friendly staff and helpful.
We really liked out Tuk Tuk driver, Yin. He took us (a group of three) around the Temples for $15. The pool was great and clean.
You are supposed to walk barefoot around the entire hotel. Two of the staff had serious injurious on their feet. It seemed unsanitary for them to be barefoot.
