Breakfast was fine, and staff were nice.
Both our rooms were double booked. First 2 nights (of 4) in another hotel. Final 2 nights at Petit Villa = water then no water, lights up / lights down. Wood plank bathroom floor decayed & broken. Much bird poo around bar and (tiny) pool area. Nice ideal, but badly needs renovating.
I loved that the staff tried to accommodate all of your needs, and although most if them didn't understand English like a native- they tried so hard just so you could be satisfied. And even if you just smile at them, they are so happy!!
We appreciate the kindness of Popea, our host, and Bungak our restaurant staff. They made our stay more pleasant. We wish the rooms were better lit. It is a little too dark.
No phone, cant order room service or call for anything. The room is too dark.
We loved our super relaxing stay at the beautiful Petit Villa. The room and pool area more than live up to the photos and descriptions. Spotlessly clean, cool air-con and so peaceful after a long day exploring the town & temples. It's only a 10min walk to the center of town so it's away from the hustle and bustle of Pub Street but within easy walking distance and there are always tuk tuks available. The tuk tuk airport transfer was a perfect start to our stay in Cambodia.
Breakfast was a little limited, not substantial enough to fill us up before a day out. It was free though so that's a v minor negative point.
- Quiet little hotel - Rooms build around the pool in a tropical patio . Very friendly staff . Excellent additional services (airport transportation, tuk-tuk for excursions)
the service was excellent, they all organised a birthday party for my child, very kind! great atmosphere for our family with 3 childrens! thanks a lot!
On arrival i had a good feeling, it was what i saw on Booking .com (pictures) The staff were great the room was perfect and l couldn't ask for anything more. would i stay there again, you guessed it yes.I have stayed in other places in Siem Reap this is the best.
I can't thing of any negatives about Petit Villa Boutique and Spa
Staff are attentive friendly n helpful. Quiet n tranquil surroundings
Room n bathroom lights were too dim. Door lock wasn't working too well. Renovation on-going during stay.
Atmosphere: the hotel was decorated beautifully and it felt as though you were in a private jungle oasis. Loved the little rabbits running around as well. Also, every night (and usually in the mornings) they had a guy playing an instrument (can't remember the name but it was like a xylophone) and I thought it was really lovely and it added to the ambiance of the hotel. Food: free breakfast was very good and free (they had several choices on a menu). Only other items on their menu we ordered was soup and it was delicious (I got pumpkin). Staff: very nice and attentive, professional. Room: really liked how the rooms are only a few steps away from the pool. It was also nice to have a little private deck area in front of our room where we could lounge. The room was clean and decorated tastefully. The bathroom was my favorite part: spacious, high ceiling, had a tub, and loved the shower head!
Room: smelled faintly of mildew right when you get inside, but only for a min. This is probably due to the fact that there were no windows in the room to air it out. I really enjoy natural light and there wasn't any. Noise: there was construction going on the entire floor above us. Even though we were informed it would be only during the day (and it was) and we were gone most of the day anyway, while we were there it was a little annoying and took away from having a peaceful/relaxing time. I understand that it was renovation and needed to be done, but I think the hotel should have offered a discount on our room or free dinner or something to compensate for it. Pool: while we really did enjoy the pool and used it frequently, it could have been cleaned better. There were constantly bugs floating all over the top. Didn't really bug me all that much (pun intended), but it was still a little gross and should be kept up properly. We stayed at another hotel in Siem Reap nearby, and they had an open pool as well and we never saw bugs in the pool (they cleaned it every morning), so I know it's not just the outside pools in the area. Spa: I was a little disappointed with our massage. First off, let me say it was only $10 for an hr, so I can't complain too much, and the masseuses did fine (we did body massages) , but compared to another massage we had received, it wasn't really up to par. It was really the atmosphere that killed it. It was next to a pool, so we could hear a child crying, some annoying dog next door yapping away, and then employees kept coming in and out of the room. Music would have been nice as well. Just felt kind of awkward and wasn't very relaxing.
Beautifully decorated, nice garden, good breakfast, quiet area of Siem Reap
Staff attitude: because they were renovating/building new rooms, we were put in smaller rooms than we should have, and only got additional beds after complaining a few times. It felt like a rip-off
Very good and affordable food. Friendly staff. Cosy and beautiful hotel premises.
There was a noisy construction on the second floor of the hotel. The electricity went down a few times. We believe we were overcharged by the hotel driver who took us to the temples of Angkor. The cleaning of the room was unsatisfactory (some fruit leftovers weren't thrown away).
Nice and peaceful place to stay in Siem Reap. Just 5 min walk from the down town. We stayed 3 nights. Kind staff.
They're upgrading the resort, so it was noise from 8.00am to 5pm. But fortunately we were outside to visit the temples.
Tuk Tuk driver mr. vorn was very sincere and helpful. Please request for Mr. Vorn service when you are staying at
Every morning, the construction going on upstairs of my room at 8am. It was impossible to stay at the hotel passed 9am as the noise get worse. The dust from the construction flew all into the pools and i can never step into the pools despite the signage hang at the entrance stating free usage of pools. We have booked honeymoon suites which benefits include customised tuk tuk tour, 1 hour message and authetic khmer meal and etc. But we were asked to pay $35 on the day of visiting small tour. we were also charged for our meal and massage and we have to clarify at the counter upon checkout. The worst thing happen at the hotel is that on the day we were visiting kulen mountain, instead of sticking to the agreed upon $100, we were raised to $150 when we are on our way. It's a scam i would say.
Nice place to relax and spend some downtime. Rooms and spacious and clean with a super comfortable bed. Staff are good and happy to arrange all the usual day trips. We got an excellent guide called Bob, for Angkor Wat tour. Good value for money and would happily stay here again
Petit Villa would have to be the best accomodation in Siem Reap. Not only was this place beautiful but the staff are incredibly friendly, attentive & generous. We were so sad to leave. We easily recommend this place to anyone looking for accom in Siem Reap that is affordable and just a 5min walk from the centre. When we come back we will definitely be staying here again. Simon & Ramon
There was nothing we didn't like.
Smiling, sociable staff Location Boutique size (not too many rooms) Massage Food
Main shower pressure
The staff were very friendly and the room was delightful
No hot water.
I had a wonderful stay in petit villa boutique. The place is very serene and cozy. All the staff are friendly and very accomodating. They dont wear out their smile in them. Our tourist guide ross samath is really wonderful and he is such a magnificient guy. He took us to different places in siem reap and gave us important histories of the places we've been thru. He is not just a tourist guide but also a good photographer. We love him! We also love ron our driver who made sure we come home safe and sound. Indeed loved our stay in petit.
staffs tried hard to be friendly with their very limited English
quite run down hotel, stained bed sheets and dimmed toilet
Staff were fantastic, pool was beautiful.
Bathroom interesting and rooms a bit dark.
Such a nice place to stay staff were fantastic and friendly had the honeymoon package and the extra touchs where beutiful highly recommended
Very confortable, very clean and modern furniture. Nice and happy staff. Excelent location (near all good restaurants, markets) and very quiet place. The best breakfast ever of East Asia.
staff friendly and trying hard nice swimming pool location - close to centre but still quieter enough
not ending up in hotel we booked, but new part (petit temple), still not fully finished not getting the family room we booked (staff made up -in part- for giving away free diner)
Nice and friendly staff.
Air condition was defect, the bathroom was dark and muggy.
From the pictures it looks much better than in reality. Although it is a very helpful staff and rooms themselves are very dark. Bathrooms have floor stones which, although nice to look at, but they are full of mold.
