This a gem of a guesthouse! Free pick-up from the airport and a very warm welcome on arrival. Located between the centre of Siem Reap and the main temples it is an oasis of calm. The facilities were great, especially the pool which was very relaxing. The air-con worked well and was essential. The staff were all wonderful and the breakfast excellent. Free bicycles included enabled us to cycle into town and set off early to catch the sunrise at Ankor Wat. The owner, Roy gave us lots of excellent suggestions on what temples to see apart from the main attractions. An added bonus is that it in easy walking distance to the excellent restaurant Touich which is much better quality than the myriad of restaurants in the centre. The best stay of our entire 5 week trip. Nothing - it was all good.

Spacious building and rooms with a lovely out door area for the delicious breakfast we enjoyed each morning. Cool pool after a day at the temples. Quiet and easy location to get into the town and its attractions and the temples. Roy and his team helped us enjoy our stay with recommendations about temples and providing guides and our driver/car trip to Phnom Phen. Always a cold beer in the fridge to enjoy in this relaxed hotel. Three days at the temples was not enough should have spent more time in Siem Reap.

Really liked this guesthouse. I booked for just 1 night but stayed longer. Excellent staff who were really helpful in organizing each day to see a good variety of temples. The free breakfast was excellent and the best coffee I've had in Asia. Pool was really good and the free bicycles meant I could easily go either to town or to the temples. Just very friendly and professional.

Personal, very friendly. But this is not a merit of the hotel, it is the normal attitude of the cambodians 1. No pick up service from the airport as promised. 2. We had room 10, wich was very dark, the shower was located almost over the toilette. So no way to take a shower. 3. Furniture very cambodian style, ver y heavy, all in all unpleasant. 4. Hotel far away from everywhere. When we booked we trusted the comments of other guests. I doubt if the postive comments were not faked.

The staff at River Village were great! So nice and accomodating. The rooms were nicely appointed and cool and each was en-suite. The pool at the Lodge was a welcome sight after a long day of sightseeing in the heat. The breakfasts of coffee, fresh fruit, and baguettes were also very nice. The location was about 2 km outside the city center ($2 by tuk tuk), so it was much quieter and felt like a retreat from the city center craziness. Once the landscaping of the river is finished it will be a nice and easy walk. I'd highly recommend River Village Manor.

Swimming pool Some bedrooms have terrible bathrooms (which is of course not shown on the website). I will post a photo if possible. The Australian tenant is very smart because you have to pay before even seeing the room and the room price does not change according to the bathroom. The room is extremely expensive compared to other hotels in Cambodia that are much nicer. I would definitely not recommend this hotel. One morning we even had ants in the bread that was given us for breakfast. And the tuk-tuk drivers are a lot more expensive than what the Australian and very annoying tenant tells you in the beginning. Therefore be careful and set a fix price for each trip before taking the hotel's tuk-tuk driver.

Loved the location, away from the busy town of Siem Reap, by the river, with interesting things all around. The atmosphere is very laid back. Borrowd bikes for free which you can use to get into town very easily. Pool. It's very dusty there, but this should improve when the river bank work is finished soon. Missed having a kettle.

River Village Manor exceeded our expectations in many ways. Even though budget friendly, the accommodations were very nice and clean and comfortable. And the staff was excellent...very friendly and helpful. The location was minutes from the local market and easily accessible to Ankor Wat and all the other local attractions. The owner Roy was delightful and helped us through a personal crisis (we missed our flight out!) spending literally hours on his computer to help us rebook flights and rearrange our schedule.and his cheery disposition helped alleviate our panic (<: The hotel is charming, the staff is great and we were very happy there and would definitely book again.

An exceptional hotel from every respect. Wonderful friendly, incredibly helpful staff. We were welcomed so warmly and given asssistance so generously that we felt very much at home. We would have stayed longer if we could. A delightful oasis of calm, beauty and style .... by the river .. away from the busy main street. Lovely breakfasts ... everything fresh and delicious. Roy and Don are very knowledgeable . Professional, prompt but very personable they organised: cold German beers, a relaxing swim after a long days travel, excellent guides to take us around the Temples, fabulous Gourmet take away and our Coach travel and hotel in Phnom Penh, plus lots of local advice that made our holiday just that much better. The hotel itself is quite atmospheric and beautiful, the renovations are stylish and I guess will be just about finished ... the pool and outdoor area was wonderful. We are just back from 14 nights in Cambodia and Vietnam ..we had a great time.... Roy and his team at River Village Manor were by far the best and the hotel the most memorable of the trip.

My wife and I stayed at River Village Manor in October. We were picked up at the airport by a very nice tuk tuk driver and our welcome at the hotel was very friendly and professional. The room was clean and a good size with 2 large double beds. Location was about 3km out of town, in a busy local village area which suited us. Overall, very helpful staff, nice rooms and a touch of quality about the place.

Very nice and helpful personnel, and a really cool manager. he knows its a small establishment, and uses this to make the guests feel at home. I got a lot of insight into Cambodia thanks to him. I stayed there for 3 days and they helped me with all the arrengements for tuk tuks and dinner plans. By the way, I had a room with very beautiful wooden furniture, the bed was a piece of art. I learned from the manager every room is decorated differently though. Its far from the old market / pub street area so you have to use tuk tuk pretty much every time you wanna go out. A la carte breakfast was weak.

Don't normally write reviews but felt compelled to do so after staying in this wonderful accommodation, what makes this place are the staff. Ron and his delightful team are a pleasure and more than happy to give advise on do's and dont's for your stay here. The place is exactly as advertised, it's not a five star hotel but again you are not paying for one! It is a little out of the noise of the centre but there is a wonderful restaurant nearby and it is a $2 tuk tuk to pub street, lovely and quiet at night, wish we had stayed longer :)

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. I was picked up at the airport by hotel tuk tuk driver and he was such an asset. Everything was flexible the service was excellent. The hotel has a quiet riverside location nestled between 2 pagodas but is only 5 minutes from the town centre and about the same to Angkor Wat.
