All the staff were very friendly and always happy to help and provide assistance and advice.
Very cute place, my room was adorable. The breakfast was awesome. The staff were very helpful in assisting with any tours or activities I wanted to do and payment was very simple. I loved the atmosphere and I would return there
Good breakfast Free good wifi Friendly helpful staff Good local advice Free tea and coffee
Needs a communal fridge for guest use
Nice big spacious room, very clean. Breakfast is ok (omelette, fresh fruit, fresh bread). If you stay longer then 2 nights (I think) you can get a free airport pick up.
It's a 15 min walk to Pub Street. If you want to eat at western restaurants it's a short walk. When we stayed we just met a few times some couples at breakfast. So if you are going as a solo backpacker and want to socialize I would rather recommend a hostel.
everything, we had nothing to complain about. the breakfast was great, the owners of the guesthouse super friendly and helpful. we for example forgot something at the guesthouse when already being in phnom penh and the guesthouse immediately sent it with the first bus available. perfect value for money!!
We like the big room and the bed.. it's clean and so comfortable to rest our back after the day's tiring tour.We like the location cuz its near to restaurants and the night market.
none at all... we are all satisfied
Everything in this guest house it's amazing! Inclueded the tuk tuk drives, good location, good value! I defenetely would stay again at this place also they offer free pick-up at the airport, which it hellps a lot!
rooms where very big breakfeast was beautiful fresh baggete with choice of eggs then a fresh fruit platter with juice and tea or coffee can get tuk tuk from out the front very cheap and the owner tells them exactly where to take u
Wifi would drop out but wasn't that big of an issue
The owner is incredibly nice and helpful. A lovely driver for Angkor wat and my boat ticket to phnom phen were organized in under 5 minutes. Nice, clean rooms; a warm shower and a very nice breakfast. A tuk tuk is about a dollar to pubstreet.
The staff helped me plan my visit to Angkor Wat. The hotel tuk-tuk driver was very attentive. He always found me as I was returning from visiting the ruins. The staff also helped me reschedule the next leg of my trip after my flight had been canceled.
The location is 20 minute walk from main tourist area with bars and restaurants. The hotel offers tuk-tuk to the main tourist area for just $1.
Nice terrace. Good and clean place.
Location. Need to update some landmark around the house. The street name is not very familiar with tuk tuk drivers.
All the staff were realy helpful including the owner.A european hotel in the "jungle" of choices?
Small bathroom but adaquate.
- breakfast delicious n sufficient - spacious room - friendly, helpful and polite staff - provide tour
too strong water pressure on shower
Had a very good way in explanation the tour n a friendly receptionist, well done! And everyday they will help you clean the room
Only the water hv a bit rusty smell
Nice and clean place. Very good service. Owner is very nice and helpfull. Good value for money.
First of all, the German owner and his Cambodian wife, but also the whole crew (including tuc-tuc boys) are extremely friendly, kindly, helpfull and polite. They give you a pleasant and very safe feeling and are very helpful to book tours in advance for you. Room is clean and fresh, and their is good open terrace for breakfast and dinner.
Maybe they can improve coffee choices or quality in the future a little. And I like to mention that it can be noisy outside at night. But Bring some earplugs with and you will sleep like a baby!
The best hotel I've had ever! They have good priced tours too. Hotelier was very helpful.
Very friendly staff, clean basic rooms, tuktuk service, breakfast.
The owner and the staff were amazing, really friendly, helpful and smiley. The room was really spacious, I just wished the bathroom was a bit bigger. Breakfast was also nice compare to what we were used to get in Cambodia.
Walkable from city centre but not in city centre. Bathroom a bit small.
Owner staff breakfast home atmosphere
Very clean rooms, well maintained, there is a cute cat living there. I really liked the place and stayed longer.
Nothing, everything was fine. Maybe a bit of a walk (15min) to Pub Street but that was fine.
Austrian owner is perfect! With him your trip to Angkor will be perfect and with order!)
Don't try to save money and don't choose room with fan. Choose A/C
Excellent value for the money paid. Ier did a great job in the background in the kitchen. The European front-of-house manager sorted out all our Angkor excursions for good prices with trustworthy drivers.
Clean, comfortable, safe..... for the price I can't fault Schein.
Schein Guesthouse is a very homey place, where rooms & service are just perfect. The breakfast is excellent and if there's anything you need (airport pickup, tours, tuktuks, boat trip, laundry etc.) you'll be taken care of professionally by the manager and his staff.I was also very lucky to meet other young travelers and spontaneously join them on the next days tour to some remote temples and it was big fun. Thanks to all for a very pleasant stay :-)
We stayed here for one night after a bad experience at another nearby hostel. We checked in at around 6:30am, and were greeted by the German owner and his staff who were all super helpful and friendly. We left our backpacks with them for the day as we wanted to visit Angkor Wat, and were offered rental bikes for 1-2$ as well as directions and tips on where to go. The room was very clean with a comfy bed, TV and a very powerful fan! The following morning wd had breakfast which consisted of coffee/tea, baguettes with a variety of jam, fried eggs, orange juice and a plate of fruit - all this for 2$ which must be by far the cheapest (and tastiest) western breakfast in town! The city centre is a 5-10min walk or a 1$ tuk-tuk ride away. You can also book your bus-tickets from here for a very decent price.Would absolutely recommend this place!
