Pool at end of day
Friendly Staff, comfortable room, good location in easy walking distance from the centre of town. Nice Clean Pool. Breakfasts were good - Baguette & Omelette or fried eggs, or fruit salad plate. Make a point of eating at the "Little Cafe" just around the corner on the way to town.
minor gripe only, still don't seem to get the idea of making sure there are towels in the room, quickly sorted once we pointed it out.
Ideal location in a quiet street in walking distance to everything. This is the kind of casual budget hotel you look for when you need a simple, clean and restful stay It has everything you need. Wifi is absolutely excellent, and aircon very quiet. Breakfast was also great, and a cool off in the pool was a bonus for a hotel in this budget category. Friendly staff enjoy bbq and beer in the garden each night if you want to mingle with the guests. You cant go past this for the budget traveller.
One bed had a loose spring, and the toilet seat needed repair...simple fixes.
Friendly staffs. Willing to help you sincerely.
Great people ESP kuni and leng. Great atmosphere and vibe. Sidewalk never dies.
Free tea/ coffee all day Breakfast simple, but adequate (omelette and bread) Hotel / rooms facilities basic, but great location Nice and quiet, slept well Staff do not operate to western standards, I found this funny Aircon / fan options Not for 5 star travellers, but a luxury for your average back packer Would recommend to friends
The pool area was a bit smelly, but it's dry season
Location was great, handy to everything. Staff were obliging but some struggled with English. Pool was clean and welcome in the heat. Breakfast was good and substantial. Good for price.
No lift. Hard walking up 3 floors in the heat. Bathroom a little tired with missing ceiling tile. Money went missing from room. Rooms should have a safe, not just front desk. Not much information available on what to do or where to go.
The hotel and staff were friendly, helpful and made our holiday a great trip. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to see Siem Reap. The rooms were made up each day and the pool was clean and a welcome oasis at the end of a hot day. The relaxed atmosphere of the hotel meant we got to know many of the other guests and made new friends. Thank you for everything.
value for money and location
staff are 'lads', don't really know who's running the show there. we had a night stay, between all our touring in Siem Reap we only spent a couple of hours here sleeping. For that purpose this place was ok.
Very helpful and cheerful staff, willing to put them selves out, so you can enjoy yourselves,
Place needs cleaning, not surface dirt, just a really basic clean, after guests have checked out, otherwise a good hotel, with lots of potencial
Free pick up from airport. Nice breakfast. Great laundry service recommended down the block. Having access to a clean pool at the end of a hot, dusty day was nice. Good location, plenty of places to eat and get great massages on the street.
Basically a backpackers hostel, nothing more. Need to leave room key on the counter at the front desk if you want your room cleaned. Did not feel secure about this as no one was watching and anyone could come along and take your key. Staff sleeps in the lobby, snoring loudly. Avoid the first floor, so you can open your window, otherwise anyone (animal or otherwise) could climb in.
price, location , staff
The guest room was clean and cozy in this price range. The staff were also very friendly.
Lovely reception friendly staff.Good breakfast.
Location.room had damp on walls.Dodgy shower.
Spacious well appointed room with large window giving natural light. Helpful staff and relaxed atmosphere. Made up the room every day with two bottles of water. The pool is well maintained with plenty of lounges. Easy walking distance to the action without being consumed by it.
The breakfast seemed a bit mean. If they threw in a small fruit salad it would be great. The area going to the pool feels like you are walking into someone else's home which is a bit grotty and messy. Not a big deal but let's down the rest of the cared for hotel.
Quiet but central location Staff always attentive and very helpful
Great name. Nice people. Wonderful service. Close to night market - which is great. Sweet pool. We had three rooms and would stay here again.
This is a great place in a good location with a clean and comfortable room. The English speaking staff were super friendly and helpful, they welcomed us like old friends or family.
The bathroom needs a better shower for the money. It is a little weak in water pressure and the hot water is not really warm, just warm in a few spots.
Relaxed atmosphere and surroundings. Quiet street, not far from centre. Friendly helpful staff, Comfortable beds, clean towels Simple breakfast included in price,
Local map not good quality photocopy hard to read. Simple bathroom, not shampoo, which I needed after long sweaty days.
We liked the price and the easy going nature of the hosts.
There was not a secure safe in the room. We carried our monies with us which ended up being ok, but just be aware of this.
I was searching for some accommodation with a pool for me and a friend, and Sidewalk's location and value for money was a pretty great selling point. Rooms are very clean, and female staff are very friendly.
My main criticism was the male staff member at the front desk. He seemed helpful at first, but (perhaps unintentionally?) became quite pushy. Each time we left the hotel we'd receive an interrogation from him trying to get a tuk tuk driver friend of his some business. Also the pool area, while really really lovely, occasionally smells like sewage (we assume the alleyway next to the hotel might be the cause?). Also, our shower heater was screwy - it was mostly cold even when turned up to the highest temperature. It wasn't a horrible stay, but I don't think I'd stay again or recommend it to anyone.
