Score from 429 reviews Excellent
Loved the location - access to Pub Street fantastic Very quiet Beds comfortable Breakfast adequate Toilet was not working when we arrived but it was fixed immediately. Despite the negatives, we would happily stay there again.
Floor swept but need a wash Ants Tired - industrial, needs a bit more TLC Plumbing needs upgrading - shower pressure okay middle of the day but poor in the evening. Towels were clean but really need to be replaced.
Location was great, right near the pub street area and markets - heaps of options for food and drink around. The hotel was nice and clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Beds were reasonably comfortable (not the hard planks that I've encountered elsewhere). If you request a room away from the noise its very quiet and you can't hear the pumping music coming from all the bars and restaurants; even found we didn't really hear anyone in the hallway. Breakfast was nice: selection of noodle and rice dishes, eggs cooked to your liking, toast, cereal, fruit, pastries, tea, coffee, juices - perfect to get a good meal in before exploring temples. The pool was closed because they are renovating the other part of the hotel, but they will drive you over to a different property they own to use that pool - definitely worth it! Really nice pool that was a good temperature!
Found the hot water in the shower wasn't really hot for very long, mainly just warm or lukewarm. Wasn't horrible, but I do prefer to have a hot shower no matter the outdoor temperature.
Newly renovated. Very convenient to Pub street.
room size was good for 2 people the usual layout and quiet. Although I was given the first room closest to the lobby and I was ready to ask for another but was to tired. As it turned out it was fine and I had it for 4 nights. Wi fi was very good as was the A/C. location is perfect .Staff were very helpful. Would stay again.
Food was a bit average, a little bit more fruit variation and muesli like bircher would be great.
Location, clean rooms and friendly staff.
The pool was under construction since April/May and it was not mentioned when we booked in late June, we were only told about it when we arrived. BIG LETDOWN! One of the main reasons we actually booked the this hotel. LOCATION, CLEANLINESS AND POOL. It would have been useful esp when we were there during the HOT season! There was a major plumbing issue on the 3rd Floor. Water was everywhere on the 2nd Floor and we had to be careful walking in and out of our rooms. Thank God there was no issue with water in the rooms, however 2 out of the 8 rooms we booked had foul smell coming from the bathrooms. That being said, I would stay again as these issues could be resolved and it should be a perfect 10.
Booked a double was given a twin my friend was requested to pay an additional amount when I booked for 2 people The pool was not in operation which was not detailed when I booked the breakfast was limited and ordinary
A good location and the rooms were well appointed.
1) Having to pay the full amount in advance before they would give me a key. I have never had to pay in advance in all my years of travelling and Booking should have told me in advance. 2) Breakfast was in a separate building away from the Hotel and the hot breakfast was totally cold so only had 1 of 4 breakfasts.
It was one of the most comfortable beds that I've ever slept it! Facilities were new, staff were very obliging and friendly, and the location was superb!
Restaurant was very slow. Food was delicious but took such a long time to get to the table.
Location is fantastic. Quiet but close to pub street
First day we had bed bugs bite us. The manager was not surprised when i complained. he changed our room right away. but gave the old room to the next visitor without doing anything about the bugs. the place has run down over the past 3 years when i stayed there during my last visit.
The location is perfect, the staff try very hard to please with what they have to work with. If they do a proper renovation job and up grade their wifi service to reach all the rooms it will be an all around good hotel. Will try it again after renovations completed.
They failed to put an under renovation notice on Booking dot com. So the room I booked wasn't available, the fitness room was closed, the wifi was only available in the room if you opened the door and stood in the hall. Fixtures not maintained properly in need of a good renovation. If done well it will be a good hotel.
The pool, location, friendly staff
Rooms were not stocked with complete amenities, we had to ask the front desk to bring in towels and water
location and pool are good
1. Poor Service We booked a double bed but turned out to be twin room, we wanted to change but staff told us all rooms r occupied. But considering the number of tourists I saw in this hotel and in breakfast restaurant, I think staff was just too lazy to help us. Till the second day, after we complained for the SECOND time, we were moved to a double room. Maids on the hall worked LOUDLY, starting from 8 am. Staff speaks so so English, lower than average among local people. 2. Poor Facilities only 2 towels for 2 people per night, and the color is somewhere between yellow and white. The air Conditioner is noisy enough to awaken us. Considering the dust and soil amount, I can tell bathtub and floor havent been washed for a long time. 3. Confusing Advertisements In our building, there were no bar, no restaurant, no pool. We have to cross the street to another building. Not that this is intolerable, but its just different from the advertisments. This hotel doesn't meet 4 star standard.
Location. Clean room.
Breakfast fair in terms of 'deliciousness'. Coffee could have been 'better'. Not complaning really.
Position position position. Close to everything but also very quiet.
Linen could do with an upgrade
Excellent location; Friendly, helpful staff.
Best for the price , can't fault
- Central location yet quiet - Comfortable, spacious room - Friendly staff - Breakfast is OK
- Card key was obviously broken and they stubbornly refused to change it (eventually, the next day we got a new card) - Cleaning is not spotless - Rather small breakfast area that does not fit all the guests
Walking distance to everything! It was Cambodian New Year while we were there & the whole place was buzzing & festive. The hotel was only a block away & surprisingly very quiet at night. We expected to hear outside noise but slept soundly. Pool was great after a day of sightseeing!
We had twin beds instead of a double but because we added an extra night at short notice this was all they had & was very comfortable.
Only 1 block from the happening market and restaurant, but out enough to be quiet. I thought I wouldn't like the pool being in the shade, but with the hot days, it was a relief. And the beautiful wat over the fence from the pool made us call it Wat WOW. Breakfast good with good hours.
We must have been next to some smoking rooms because sometimes our hall smelled. That's it. I would stay there again. Maybe I should list a lot of bad, so it doesn't fill up. :-)
Absolutely excellent location, just near all the action of Pub Street and Central Market but not IN the thick of it. Our room was amazing, a suite on the 4th floor, overlooking the pool and one of the beautiful temples just next door... perfect space to come back to, to relax and to cool off after all the Angkor Wat-ing!!! Highly recommended!!
Service from the staff was friendly and courteous at all times.
RIGHT next to the night markets and tons of great restaurants. Quiet location, everything worked, spotless bathrooms, kind and responsive staff.
It was one of the best places we have stayed in over 4 months.
It's really close to the old town and great to have a swimming pool at hotel
Staff were unfriendly, Service not good, Breakfast poor and linen in desperate need of upgrade
Very good location, in the city center
The rooms are not clean, the walls are falling apart due to humidity, the staff can hardly speak English, awful breakfast
Location was about as good as it can get.
I didn't like having to pay an extra $20 for another guest to stay in my room. Also asked for a double bed but got 3 singles???
