-near pub street, old market, night market( walking distance) - friendly owner and made all good arrangement for tours - rooms have balcony and very spacious, clean.
- wifi not fast and sometimes no connection
The location closed to siem reap activities and night Life.
The room : Not the one we saw on the pictures. Old furniture and curtains. Old ac. You can find much better for the same price
We loved the couple who owns and runs the hotel. The hotel itself looks small and hidden in some trees, but once you enter it is very nice. Spacious rooms and nice bathrooms made our stay perfectly comfortable. What made this hotel stand out was the kindness of the staff. We shared a delicious meal with them, and we were allowed to keep our bags there after check-out. They even let us take a shower after our day around town, right before we had to catch a night bus. They speak English, Thai, French, and Cambodian.
There are roosters in the area, but this does not have anything to do with the hotel. Just be aware that if you stay in the vicinity you might hear them when the sun comes up.
Close to the night market and the main street
Dark street with no clear indication of the hotel. reception closes at 12.00 at night and you have to call if you arrive later. The old man at the reception seemed angry all the time. Offered services like tuc-tuc more expensive than the ones you can find elsewhere. Room nothing to see with photos; good photoshop or taken 10 years ago. They didn't clean the room during our stay (3 days) even if expressly asked. Have to beg for clean towels, etc... AC did not work properly, all night at 16 and sweating... And we book the superior room, so I don't want to think how the std would like like. Definitively not the place to stay in Siem Reap!!!!! I
This place was in the perfect location. It was good for the price we paid too and the staff were very nice
Quite a few mossies in the room despite windows always being closed, a few problems with electrics cutting out too. Triple room was a little cramped.
Located close to the night markets and Bar street
The first night we arrived late at night only to be told that they had forgotten to close the booking before we had booked and our room was not available. Instead we were taken to another hostel across the street that was of very low quality and concrete floors. We discovered a spider the size of our hand, and when the staff didn't seem to care we left and stayed at a hotel down the street. The second night we were told the room was open, but it really only fit 2 when it was a 3 person room. We were unable to connect to the wifi and our air con was not working. We were given a fan instead and sweat through the night. Do not stay here if you plan to come back late at night as you will find the gates closed and small children sleeping in the lobby, which we felt terrible for disturbing.
Friendly helpful staff.
The guesthouse is very near pubstreet. It's easy for us to visit around the city. The room is good with air conditioning and hot water.
Big, comfortable new room and a 5 minute walk to pub street.
The stairs were steep and the AC wasn't working 100% but good enough to keep us cool.
nice and quiet but only 3 mins walk to pub street and markets, very, very friendly staff, free airport pickup, good wifi, laundry service.
walking distance to town
the internet upstairs wasn't working on day 1
Our stay in this hotel was very pleasant. The staffs were helpful, accommodative and informative. On the top of this, we had a free pick up from the bus station to the hotel even though it was late in the evening. The hotel also arrannged is the for the next days, which was the most hight light of our tour to Cambodia.
Perfect stay if you want to visit ankor wat and get to know lovely Cambodians. You get everything you need. They pick you up at the bus, you can book a privat tuktuk driver, they speak very good English and everything you have to visit in siem reap is near by.
Room is big and bathroom clean. Bed is comfy. The staff are very welcoming and when there was an issue with the A/C, I was moved to another room no questions asked.
Not the hotels fault but came here for rest from illness so meant I was in during the day and there was construction next door
Nothing to say more than helpful and friendly owner that helped us organizing the tour and giving us tour info. The hotel is right near the city center, located in a quiet place which takes only few minutes walk to nightmarket and pub street. The room is good with aircon and wifi plus hot and cold water system. We liked a little garden where we can sit down and relax or drink!
Guest house owner was so kindness. And he could provide tour information and booking service.
Friendly staffs made me feel welcomed, the hotel is within a short walking distance to night market and pubstreet. Room was clean with aircon and internet access. I can arrange tour activities with hotel and they are really helpful.
Can't look for any better.
everything!!! Staff great, family feel to it and I felt kind of "protected" and it had a warm vibe to it. Met other solo traveller there which was also great. Great too, it was away from awful pub street and the whole noise. Room was excellent, biiiiiig, clean and big bathroom, two windows, great cable TV.
unfortunately there was construction going on in the building next to it. It ruined the experience a bit.
The location is good, if you want to be relatively close to Angkor and some good food places around the old French Quarter of town. The hotel manager had also organised a great tuk-tuk driver, who picked us up from the airport and took us for a cheap but very good tour around the Angkor temples (ask for Chhayhou, brilliant and super-honest young man). Hotel prices are also reasonable and for those who stay for more than one night they organise a free lift to the airport/bus station. They can also sort you out with tickets for the bus to other destinations within the country. To add more, they are super-fast with laundry which takes them three hours to turnaround. Appreciated, considering the climate! We were also departing to Phnom Penh at the end of the stay and they kindly allowed us to stay in the room for half a day extra at a discounted price. Oh, the hotel also rents bicycles - that's great.
This place used to be called the Wathanak Lodge. It is under the new management now, and while the current staff are nice and very helpful, they aren't yet clued up on how to run a hotel. Although new and relatively modern, bathrooms are not very clean. WiFi doesn't work well and breaks a lot. The manager promised to fix this problem but it didn't do much for us, unfortunately. We were also asked to change the room three times during the four night stay which isn't a problem if you have one large backpack, but could be if one travels with more luggage.
Excellent budget accommodation in Siem Reap with just a stone throw to old market and pub street. Staff are great, very friendly and informative. Room was nice and big. Will recommend friends and people willing to visit Angkor wat.
Staff were awesome Great location Nice room
The location is Ok, I guess.
It's dirty. The same dead cockroach was lying in the hallway for the duration of our stay. They never cleaned our room. Slow wifi. Shower often had no hot water. Uncomfortable beds and poor bedding.
A helpful and friendly family run-guesthouse and centrally located, it's highly recommended.
Good location. Good wifi. The staff were friendly, but as another reviewer pointed out, they weren't very attentive. Cheap accommodation but for a few dollars more we found another hotel far superior.
I don't know how this had a score of 8.8 when we booked. No welcome drinks or towels on arrival. Downstairs entranceway has been converted into an internet cafe so I've no idea where the restaurant is (we opted for breakfast not included so it didn't matter for us). Cleanish but the bin hadn't been emptied of rubbish from the previous occupants. Towels and sheets were of a strange (nylon?) material, impossible to dry yourself with the towels. Room was spacious and the A/C was fine but no tea/coffee or seating area as per the description. Shower was hot only once during our stay.
Location extremely convenient Big room Free pick-up from minivan at 11pm
Mattress very thin and huge pillows. AC not working properly. A lot of mosquitoes. Tried to get a tuk tuk with the guesthouse, but they would charge us 40 usd when you can easily find one in the streer for 20 usd. Same for bikes. Staff not really attentive. Owner very friendly but we did not see him a lot. Overall: we went there because of the very good reviews on booking.com but it is totally NOT WORTH IT. We moved to another guesthouse for the last night.
