The Breakfast is not good! The old Room and is not possible was not changed the sheet, for two nights in a row!!!!!!!
Nice hotel in a good walkable location. It was just what we needed, and the price was good.
Don't trust the tuktuks in the car park to take you to the correct shops. They took us to alternatives every time where they earned a commission.
Breakfast could be improved wifi in room keeps disconnecting
Great location, good value of money, great wi fi, clean and cozy rooms, amazing staff they picked us at the at airport for free and there s a pool
Everything was great, I have no complaints.
Helpful, friendly staff. Well placed for night markets and loads of restaurants and cafes. Easy to arrange pick up from airport and any visits you want to do.
Cleaning staff were noisy in the corridors early in the morning.
Close to centre of town, nice swimming pool
We chose the room after having a look at the pictures on booking.com. The room that we were given was completely different than the room on the pictures. (Later I checked again all the 39 pictures to see but still couldn't find any pictures of the old standard rooms) This is misleading customers. So I kindly ask the hotel staff to put pictures of the standard rooms as well on booking.com website.
Very close to all the local restaurants, shops and bars but you don't hear the noise from these.
We had to change from the first room they tried to give us as the bed linen was filthy and the window backed onto a family's back garden so could hear them and had no privacy. The second room they gave us was much cleaner but there is a building site next door and the works didn't finish until nearly 11pm each night and the sound was awful. This started up again early each morning.. needless to say we didn't get much sleep and didn't have any luck when we complained about this. We were pretty much told tough luck.
Nice hotel, good location, clean pool and very very good cuisine :-)
The fact that we found a lovely TukTuk driver who found us an amazing Hotel which we moved to after. We had to stay one night as it was late.I got refunded money for one night out of the three booked, disgraceful.
Nothing, when we arrived the at the reception one of the men had a ripped armpit of his shirt on. I knew then we had picked the wrong Hotel. Your promotion is wrong. The sheets and pillow case had stains on and the gowns had stains on. It looked like blood on the net curtain. There were building works just outside, a jack hammer worked all day. The bathroom was filthy. It was a terrible breakfast all pre-prepared with coronation milk for the tea and coffee
Location & staffs were excellent
Facilities needs regular service & maintenance (e.g. air cond leaking) Only provide free transfer from airport to hotel but not to airport. Rooms as shown online are for illustration purpose. Actual rooms were not exactly as shown online. Shower area (bathroom) needs maintenance & cleaning.
Nothing at all eve. Staff were rude aviary from maintenance man and I saw him lots No aircon First night had to have fan Moved room next ddy floor above Not good no fridge payed a lot of money to walk 4 floors no lift Never again Booking .com sort it out Rubbish and your getting worse
Any of it
The hotel has a perfect location and a nice swimming pool. Staff is very friendly and helpful. ATM machine in front of the hotel. 1 minute walk to the center, just cross the street.
Breakfast does not have many western choices, although there was always some eggs, toast and jam. Bedsheets did not look superclean but I'm sure they were washed. It is just so dusty outside and who knows where the laundry is done, you have to remember in Cambodja not everything is that easy!
Staying in this hotel is value for money. Beds are very comfortable, wifi is fast, and it is surprisingly quiet even though the hotel is located a few steps away from the pub street and night markets. The staff is very helpful especially when my family's booked bus tickets did not arrive as promised by the tour operator in Vietnam.
The only downside in staying in this hotel is that the staff does not refill the food (as the breakfast is buffet).
Good hotel very nice personel. Good swimming pool. Beds not comfortable. Room very small. No hanger to hang the towel when showering
Bed. And room
The staff - which is relected in the Happy feel of the Hotel - most of the staff have been there a long time
There is in some cases a lack of attention to detail but does not detrct from the overall standard of the Hotel!!
Clean and spacious room. Located near the Pub Street and Night Market. Swimming pool! The pool and bar staff are friendly and helpful. Pretty decent breakfast options which can be enjoyed in the pool area.
There's just something lacking about the front desk staff - the SMILE! Seriously, they could smile a bit more since they're welcoming guests. Not really helpful about arranged tours either, they just gave us a paper to read over. Better go to other hostels for tour information (it's just way better and cheaper).
I loved the huge bed, clean bathroom, good front desk service, location of hotel was amazing, near the night and old market, Pub Street and walking distance to the Muslim area, for easy access to halal food. Outside the gates, we get a taste of the locals as well, and theres a convenient store few steps away.Id also recommend the travel agency nearby, Shi Hin Travels. They give good deals, and very well versed guides. I went for the Sunrise to Sunset visit to Angkor, and signed up for Tonle Sap tours as well.
I didnt like that the pickup from the airport assumed that we would hire him for the rest of the stay, and got angry and kept reminding us that he picked us up from the airport when we said that we dont want him. I prefer to look out for tour deals on my own, thus I believe the hotel should ensure that they pick the right drivers to work with them. When the hotel promised free shuttle from airport, it should be free, no strings attached.
location is awesome
food was terrible - couldnt even eat it. fortunately there is a blue pumpkin outside! be careful when booking in the coming months as they have started building next door which will make it noisy for sure
Nice accomodation for breakfast,yummy foods
The best thing this hotel has got going for it is the location, near the old market and pub street where you can easily walk to a plethora of bars, restaurants, spas and shopping galore. The next best thing is the pool area, the only area of the hotel that is properly maintained. It is a lovely, tranquil oasis with a large pool and Jacuzzi surrounded by lush landscaping and bas relief Cambodian artwork. and restaurant scene in the evening. The staff was polite and responsive. The internet connection was good and they did offer a good selection of TV channels, including English speaking channels.Mini fridges in the rooms were a plus. The beds were firm but adequately comfortable
Unfortunately these pluses did not overshadow the minuses. First off, don’t book a standard double room. The price is very economical but unless you’re a diehard backpacking kind of traveler on a strict budget it is not acceptable. There is only a bed, end table and table holding a clunky old TV set. No closet or armoire. You have to place your suitcases on the floor and live out of them. The bathroom does not have a shower curtain and is equipped with one of those dial a shower gadgets. This means that when you shower the entire bathroom is drenched! And the locations of these rooms face the noisy street. Needless to say we moved immediately into a deluxe room which doubled the price but it had a nice balcony overlooking the pool area and was adequately furnished with a proper bathroom. The rest of the property is in dire need of a facelift. A good coat of paint, polishing and repairing the neglected but once beautiful carved wooden doors would go a long way. The latches did not catch, locks didn’t work properly, toilet seats and faucet mounts were loose, the air conditioner leaked. Overall, the property’s appearance was shabby and drab. Regarding some negative comments from reviewers about cleanliness, I thought that the overall cleanliness was up to par but it is important not to confuse shabbiness with cleanliness. The linens and towels were clean but dingy. The towels were scratchy and rough. Not acceptable.Mediocre breakfast. I would not recommend this hotel at this time. As a previous reviewer pointed out, there are too many other places to stay that will deliver better quality and value for the price we paid. Competition in the mid range hotel bracket is fierce and if Tan Kang Angkor’s hotel management doesn't step up to the plate and make some improvements, they may lose business.
The hotel was located close to pub street.
We were disappointed with the hotel upon arrival. Had read the reviews and expected it to be a reasonable standard. Our bedroom was very small and the bed sheets had orange strains all over them. Have previously stayed in a hostel in siem reap which was a lot cheaper than this hotel which was much better than the hotel. Very disappointing. Toilet also didn't work properly. The photographs are not reflective of the rooms.
Pool and food
Given a room that was very small and not what we paid for . Room picture of what we would get wasnt what we received . Very deceiving photos of room . No where to put our clothes no bed side table . Broken fridge that was missing front temp dial . Couldnt adjust thermostat on aircon .Not good value and staff very uncooperative and rude especially front end staff and room staff . Overall a bad experience
The fact that a dump like that can still operate.
