Great breakfast, cute rooms, very close to shopping, night markets and tuk tuk transport. Lovely colonial style building and wonderful roof top salt water pool. Our children were in paradise, they loved it. Many staircases and nooks and crannies to explore. Highly reccomend for kids aged 8-15, though you will need to book two rooms as there are no family suites available. Abundance of geckos throughout and great city sights and sounds, night market and Main Street just steps away. Staff are formal yet accommodating. First room booked had a moldy smell and the fan didn't work. Staff quickly changed us to a new room which was much nicer. Bear in mind this is Cambodia and the amenities reflect the price you pay.

Hotel location. Room location. Swimming pool and roof garden setting. Not dislike, improve, room furniture could do with an upgrade.

* location next to pub street * rooftop pool was beautiful * overpriced for what you get (this is not a 4 star place) * towels were cheap and rough * breakfast was basic (3 options, all somewhat lacking) * no elevator * staff service was subpar -- had to beg/bicker to get US$10 changed to smaller money for taxi out to airport

We really enjoyed our stay at The Terrasse des elephants, the rooftop swimming pool is great after a long visit in Angkor. Staff was friendly and the breakfast was great (options between american, european and Khmer). Unfotunately the AC didn't work very well, but this seems to have been in our room only.

Gorgeous detail and design in the Bedroom. Magical rooftop pool area. Stagnant water in pond in the Bedroom led to many insects and a foul smell.

The hotel was great. First impressions of my room was like stepping onto the set of an Indianna Jones movie, complete with a five-foot tall replica of Angkor Wat in the bathroom. The hotels decor reminds me of what the british colonial era was like, with plenty of animal carvings adorning the walls. The rooftop pool was nice with half-price drinks happy hour. I only stayed two nights but wished for at least one more just to explore the city a bit more. One street over from the hotel is the nightlife of Siem Reap, with several streets blocked off and filled with bars, clubs and restaurants. Hot water in the showers wasnt very hot.

Amazing decoration, wonderful staff, delicious food, lovely swimming pool, excellent position. A wonderful stay Lighting level in bedroom could be higher and unable to find out how to stop the ceiling fan without turning off the electricity by removing room key card which meant had to use a torch to get from the door back to the bed! A lift would have been appreciated

The location of the hotel is really good, we could walk to the pub street to have dinners. The first room we stayed is quite spacious. The waiting time of the breakfast is long (due to it is a La-carte one) but it was served with nice manners. The Mattress is too old and seems to collapse, and the tent to keep the Mosquito away is too low and when sleep on the bed it always fall on your body. The first two nights the fan and the air-conditioner were too noisy and we felt we were in a factory, then we had to change to another room but very small due to the peak season no other room available.

Excellent location, and on the whole, the accommodation, restaurant and bar are very good value for money. Gorgeous rooftop pool and bar area. Friendly staff who dealt with requests and problems quickly. The shower accessed via a bridge over a pond did have a wow factor, but anything beyond a 3min shower would just flood the entire room. It was also very dark and almost spooky - the tv turned on by itself a few times and the pond feature did actually have me thinking of water rats in the middle of the night!

Very unusual room with huge dripping Bayon fountain (Tip: if you don't like the dripping noise, it takes several hours after you switch it off for the water to stop.) Excellent roof-top swimming pool (and dining facilities). Good breakfast and restaurant. Right in the middle of town, but not noisy at night. Staff were very pleasant, but a little dozy. Needed constant prodding for fresh soap etc. Waiting for the fountain to stop dripping!
