Very nice ,good service .goid location.
Lovely Staff who went out of there way to help. Smart place to stay
The hotel staff members were amazing. My wife and I showed up at the hotel in the morning with no tours or anything planned. I asked the front desk if they could make the tour arrangements for us. By the time we finished our delicious meal at the hotel, we had and English speaking tour guide and a tuk tuk driver waiting for us outside. Then we were off. They made sure our tours were all set the following 2 days as well. Everyone we encountered was so nice. Also, the buffet breakfast was very good.
The bathroom toilet was dirty when we arrived. They never cleaned it during our 2 night stay. Not really a big deal though.
Staff and service were outstanding. Went out of their way to help and accommodate. Location was excellent.
The pool was gorgeous, cocktails and massages even better. The rooms were lovely and the shower is a nice touch! Staff really friendly and couldn't do enough.
The bed was quite hard Angkor wat is much further away then advertised on booking.com. It states 600m away, but that's the museum not the temples themselves. That will cost you $22 dollars for Tuk Tuk, $20 per person to enter the national park. Can be a costly day.
The hotel staff were brilliant as were the facilities. On initial view the pool was smaller than we thought but for a city spot, it was beautifully secluded and we enjoyed our swims. We ate at the hotel on our first night as our friends were unwell and had a couple of lunches there, which we enjoyed.
Our first night we were allocated a room on the ground floor and when we opened the curtains we were faced with a bamboo fence, which was not unattractive but made the room very dark and this was a thoroughfare to the kitchen. We said we wanted a room with proper sunlight and a view, and the hotel could not achieve that on the first night but they moved us the very next morning.
Friendly staff Clean and comfortable accommodation Great value for money Decent buffet breakfast Food bat and restaurant
Almost everything, particularly the friendliness of the staff-
My friends and I loved the overall ambience of the hotel which shows Cambodia's unique culture. All hotel staff were also excellent, most esp. Vanda. He helped re-book our flight from Siem Reap to Hanoi. Cambodia Angkor Air did not inform us at all that our flight was cancelled! Good thing Vanda went to the airline office directly and was able to rebook us to a Vietnam Air flight!
None! Everything went perfect!
We liked d service, massage, breakfast, hospitality.. everything!
The location is good to visit the temples (although not so good to go to eat out at night). The room was fairly large, and the wifi worked properly.
The staff, particularly the person managing the tour desk (where you make reservations to visit the temples) was incredibly pushy, shady and annoying to the point that it hurt the overall experience in the hotel. Even though it was very late at night, and he knew we had to wake up just a few hours later to visit the temples, he kept pushing us to reserve a more expensive, less interesting tour the day after in which essentially they take you to a couple of temples and then to their friends shops to buy souvenirs. He went as far as not allowing us to make a driver reservation for that second day unless we agreed to reserve that tour (which we did not). Moreover, the driver he reserved would not allow us to change the order in which we would visit the temples (even though it was the same time, distance, and we had no tour guide). We had to keep arguing with him for 30 minutes until he would agree. It also does not give you much of a confidence when the staff tells you how important it is to put your documents and valuables in the safe box, because things are often stolen in the hotel. Finally, the room was not particularly clean, with spots in the bed sheets and dust in multiple places.
The hotel was opened in April 2014 and distinguishes from others from interior design point of you. It presents god example of modern French architecture. The hotel is located on the way to Angkor Wat which makes the access easier. Walking distance to city center is about 15-20 minutes.
The hotels is deteriorating at rapid pace. Even though it was opened in April 2014, its condition is not proper. The rooms are equipped with second hand air-conditioning systems which are often not functional at all. The same relates to bathroom and lavatory equipment and towels condition. The breakfast selection is not rich, lack of local items. Surprisingly, no green tea is offered and only Lipton tea bags are served. The staff is attentive but not organized nor trained. This leads to misunderstanding and not keeping the word. I am still wondering why each time after saying hello, my room number was asked!!! The hotel has free pick-up service from the airport, however the hotel offers $7 tuktuk for getting to the airport. Well, the real price is almost $3, if you pick up tuktuk from the street!
The hotel is not right in the city centre of Siem Reap, but a $4 Tuk Tuk ride later and about 10 minutes (or a 20 minute walk) puts you in the centre. Angor Wat is also a super quick drive away. The staff were all great and we liked the pool, calming decor and local artwork on the walls. We had a two room family set-up that was very quiet at night. If you need an elevator, please note that there isn't one. It was fine for us but for those not mobile, it could be a problem. Cambodia and Siem Reap/Angor was a highlight for our trip and I would recommend this hotel for those who enjoy more unique accommodations vs. big chain hotels.
The massages we had there were very good but the high Air conditioning made the room a bit too cold. Suggest asking to have it turned down if you don't want to feel cold.
The decor was understated but attractive in a traditional Khmer style. We got a free upgrade to a suite room (without asking) so got excellent value for money.
The pool was very small and there was no gym. The included breakfast had limited choices.
The hotel sent a tuk tuk to meet us, organised guide to Angkor Wat and tuk tuk driver, and our bus ticket to Phnom Penh, the food was good but the best bit was the staff were very welcoming, friendly and interested in what we were doing, altogether perfect.
The only thing we can think of is the shower curtain which grabs you each time you shower.
The employee of the hotel named Phanith is extremely professional and nice. We'd like to thank him for his kind help with the tuk-tuk booking, restaurant reservation and so much things. Look forward to staying in Cyclo again.
Loved the friendly staff and accommodating style of service. Everything was very relaxed which made for an easy stay. Nothing was too much trouble.
The efficiency was a little sub standard but that is most certainly a cultural thing. So in reality this could be a plus cause it kind of makes you chill out.
Very friendly staff who couldn't do enough to help. The Spa was excellent, very reasonably priced and just what was needed after a hot day at the temples.
1. Location. Easy access to Bangkor Wat in one direction, and close to "town" in the other. 2. Staff. All very pleasant and curtious. Go out of their way to try to meet the guests needs and requests. Always smiling. Carried our luggage up stairs. On return from each day of sightseeing, we were greeted with a smile and presented with a tray of cold, damp towels with which to refresh. 3. Size. not too big, Not to small, Just what we were looking for. 4. Free bicycles for guest use. 5. Reasonable room rates for the accommodations.
1. Large boxing arena just across the street. A few times a week VERY noisy in the afternoon/evening, though the noise stops between 20:30 and 20:45.
Manager Mr. Ham Pov and all staff very kindly and professional. Good service, good restaurant, good massage. Room very clear and small but clean swimming pool
We stayed here for 3 days, imcluding Christmas. Peak season in Siem Reap but nothing was too much trouble. Very friendly staff, who couldnt do enough to help - from picking us up at the airport, settling us in to our room and helping organise a packed breakfast so we could make an early start on our sightseeing. Location is good, on the main road between Angkor Wat and the city, but it's a tuk tuk ride into town rather than a walk. But at $2 a triup that's fine. We ate in the hotel once and it was ok, varied menu and not too expensive. Lovely relaxed vibe, room was quiet and well equipped. Loved the shower! Can also recommend the Spa - aromatherapy massage, perfect after a long day of sightseeing! Out trip to Siem Reap was a real highlight of our trip to Asia and this place was an important part of that!
Needed a better layout of the bar area - if you wanted just a drink you had to sit at a dinner table which was a bit too formal for us. We booked our own tour guide and trips, so didn't use the hotel service, so can't comment on that service.
The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming - it was a wonderful stay. The location is very good - close to the ANGKOR temples and an easy ride to the city centre. Pool is perfect to cool down after a hot day visiting. As are the massages! Breakfast was excellent. Food at the restaurant is good.
Tour prices are a little high but most hotels are the same.
I liked that the moment my reservation was completed through an online reservation system the hotel immediately contacted me to verify arrival time to secure a pickup at the airport. They also helped us arrange our tours, tour guide and driver. We were happy with all three. The food at the hotel was excellent. They provided a breakfast box for our sunrise tour. The ambiance was perfect! It was a great get-away from the busy touring schedule. It is near the temples and the downtown area. We were very pleased when the Concierge verified that our dinner arrangements which were made by a third party were with a good, reputable establishment. This made me feel secure in knowing they were taking care of their guests. Overall we were very pleased with our stay and would recommend The Cyclo d'Angkor Boutique Hotel as a place to stay when visiting the beautiful temples.
Decoration Breakfast Free bicycles to go around the town
although smallest room we have had on our trip it was comfortable and clean, staff very friendly and helpful. The bar was a little limited with only cans of beer and was quite highly priced compared to town. Hotel reception decor was nice.
Booked a room with Pool view but wasnt upto much and rooms a little small. Had wrong room number so missed our early morning wake up call.
