The owner and his wife were very nice. Make sure to get their advice before you book any tuk-tuk. Their staffs were also polite and supportive. Good location.
Sometimes it's noisy.
Location was okay. Omelette was really good.
Staff unhelpful, wouldn't let us print out our booking confirmation. They wouldn't let us retrieve our valuables from the safe had to wait until the next day.
Great location, staff helps you with itinerary and is generally just helpful, although their English is with a thick French accent.
Close to the main pub street.
The room what we got was completly different from those on the picture. Bathroom in very bad conditions. Awful service. From reception to the room was maximum 2 meters and the guy who show us the way want to tip for that and didn't want to leave the room if we don't give him any tip.
The owners and staff were always really nice and helpful. The food at the Dancing Frog was the best I had in Siem Reap.
Wasn't what I would call a hostel, more of a guesthouse but still a lovely place.
Everything is good
Owners were very friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and cosy. Very happy with this stay. We also got our laundry done here and our clothes smelled like flowers :)
School close to the hostel is a bit loud in the morning. Everything else was perfect.
The hostel near old market and pub street
24-hour check-in. 5 mins walk to Pub Street.
The rooms: the rooms are very dirty (since I travel a lot and mostly stay in low to middle budget accommodations, I can tell you that this was the dirtiest room I've ever rent) the bathroom has a hole instead of a window for which the room was full of mosquitoes and the next morning I had stitches allover my body (alhough I used mosquito spray and covered my body) The staff: is very unfriendly and impolite. First, they tried scam me by telling that they don't have change for our payment (just one minute later he had a lot of change for my taxi driver). Second, when I was in big trouble because my bus forgot to pick me up, they refused to help me and refused to call the travelagenta number, so I had to ask another hotel for help. The taxi driver: overcharged prices! The staff will tell you that their taxi driver has better prices, but in recommend to ask other drivers first! For a 10 minute drive he charged us 5 dollars (we didn't bargain before because on booking.com we read that the pick up is for free, what seemed to be wrong in the end)
The wifi signal was good. And the location was good for being close to the pub street.
They were having refurbishments on the restaurant which I feel they should have informed us prior to arrival. So there was no restaurant at all and they said it would be done within 3 days, when we left after 7 nights it still wasnt finished.. It was very noisy with this and the school at the back of it. The place didn't look at all like the photos. The rooms were dirty and dated. It needs a deep clean especially the bathrooms. The water pressure is terrible and is just a dribble, it goes off alot altogether too and then when it works again it spits the water out in spurts. The reception is just one desk in the doorway which is very cramped and dirty, where you must leave your key. This isn't secure as anybody could walk in and take it as its not always manned. The cleaner who didnt clean just folded the blanket on the bed left the door unlocked several times. She also covered up mud on the floor by putting our shoes on top of it instead of cleaning it. They only changed the towels once in seven night stay.
Location is nice, just 3 min from Pub street The hostel owner is very friendly and helpful. I had several email contacts with him and he can suggest a good programme suited to the number of days you stay in Siem Reap The breakfast served in hostel is quite nice (baguettes) Owner has good connections with tuk tuk drivers! Hostel arranged an Apsara dance performance with dinner: very good!
Breakfast is not included, but quite cheap
central location, but away from the real noise. very nice French owner, good advice for tuktuk driver. slightly better than what you paid for
the smell of the water out of the tap, even for brushing my teeth, I had my doubts. the fan is barely enough for a hot night, but you get what you pay for.
Location Friendly owner
Price of meals - specially breakfast. Not fully sure I got the best price arrangement in booking the tuk-tuk driver for all 3 days. Bill had an item I did not consume. Smell in the bathroom.
Location, room is spacious, the biggest TV I've got so far across Asian hostels, the tuk-tuk driver recommended by the owner Mr. Gilles is trustworthy, A/C and wifi are both good, very pleasant stay.
Location is really central but side street so quiet, room is huge, tv with 100 channels (many languages, the Cambodian overdubs were best though), good food, friendly staff. Patio in front where you can order food (it's also good food). Next door to bike rental, laundry, small supermarket
The place was great, no complaints at all from me
We came here and it was really dirty so didn't even spend the night there and moved to a hostel instead. Staff were nice but the room simply did not look like it did in the photos.
location was great, owner was very friendly and helpful. Tuktuk driver that the owner organised was great. Wifi was good. Great value for money.
I loved the owner. Giles was very helpful, he knows the area very well and gelped us with tickets and tuk tuks and all. The room was a good sized double, clean and with a fan that was really suffiecient. I did not feel the need to upgrade to an ac room and i am sensitive about that.
The room was a bit damp and dark. But in cambodia it kinda comes with the territory.
good location, friendly & helpfull staff.
AC & shower is a little problem
the location very near to pub street, but not noisy
the bathroom is too small and dirty
Great location! 3 mins walking to the old market and the pub street. The owner Gilles is very nice and helpful! Facilities is not the newest but worth the money. And I like the staff and the breakfast there! Very tasty :) Gilles can also arrange the tuk tuk for your trip to Angkor wat, and the price is very competitive and the driver is nice. Highly recommend this place!
The location - during the night.
I had booked for two nights and could not stay longer than one. Everything is dirty and old. The bathroom is the worst part. There was a makeshift drain hole in the floor (with exposed pipes) where the water goes away after you take a bath. The bed was unbelievable dirty and smelly. The location is a good thing after midday, before this you will have a misfortune of waking up with the insane noise coming from the primary school nearby. And the AC didn't work.
