The location was great, very central and the price was very cheap.
Unfortunately the staff was not very helpful at all. The husband was quite rude in the way he brushed you off without assisting in any useful way. His prices for a number of excursions was very overpriced.
The location was good and bad, good because it was convenient to all of central Siem Reap, but poor because it is loud even in the rooms. The bathroom had hinge hot shower and the room was a good siZe
The owners, while accommodating, certainly aren't making any friends. We got some less than positive attitude upon check in from the male in charge and never felt really welcome.
Mary, Renook and Christian made our stay and because of this we overlooked the standard of the room. Great links with superb tuktuk drivers and tours.
The staff is extremely helpful. When my luggage is misplaced by AirAsia, the owners did everything they could to comfort me during my stay and did all the formalities in order to retrieve my luggage. If it weren't for them, I would have been lost almost all my items and money. If I were to visit Cambodia again, I will look for them in the first place.
Located 400m from the popular pub street, night market, phsar chas. Close by without the noise. Really. Basic room with AC, hot shower, tv, towels provided. Great place for those on a tight budget. Dining is optional but many eateries nearby which offer cheaper prices but the food was quite good but higher priced.
1. Mosquitos. On the 2nd day solved it by swithcing on the fan. 2. Not hostel fault. Tap water smelled abit rusty. Just use bottled water for brushing teeth. Nothing big. Would stay again if I'm ever at Siem Reap
Toilet roll wasn't provided on our first night.
the owners , Christian and Maryyconne was the most hospitable a d understanding hosts we have ever met...the booking was seamless even thought we booked almost the same day as our stay, the rates were very reasinable and the food was excellent and the servings were abundant. We are not really beer drinkers but my wife Venus and I found their very cold draft beer really refreshing after a day of walking and hunting for photographs. The price online and in the real world matched .Althought not as luxurious as the first hotel we booked into, entering thei rooms immediately made us at home..with hot water, aircon, cable and fast Wifi. The service and facilities were more than what we expected.
the only thing that bothered us was the water in room 108 .It seems that the plumbing orcthe water tank was a bit rusty.
the bathroom is very dirty as the water could not drain properly, the people of the hostel only come to repair on the last day of our stay one hour before we check-out; the light is so strong and disturb our sleep as we could not switch off the light during sleeping time; and the cleaner did not supply enough clean towel and toilet paper on the last day of our stay.
Lovely French couple own the place, excellent food, friendly staff, went out of their way to make me comfortable as I was ill. Really close to everything. Would stay there again.
A few Mosquitos in the room, but we got rid of them
The owners are French and there are very nice. I had a single room for 10 dollars, that's amazing! A Clean, quiet place. It is suated a little far from the cafes and bars, but only 5 minutes walk :) First I was a bit upset that a live not at the heart of the city, but when I saw how noisy it was I got really glad. The night life there is strong, yeap :) The night market is very close.
They came to clean my room at 12 p.m, but I was sleaping, so the cleaning didn't happen at all during the 2 days. But I didn't mind, actually.
location and reasonable rate.
Rude staff, ants in the bathroom, noisy area, only one bed sheet provided, poor breakfast (eggs undercooked and sausage resembled one of those cheap canned hotdogs.) Avoid
French lady and Khmer staff nice. Good food and dining / bar area clean. Location is great.
If you want to change rooms then make sure Monsieur enters it into the computer system...... or he will forget and that could cause a bit of a headache !! Also, for the same reason as above... remind him if you asked him to arrange bus tickets or by the time the tickets are booked you get a bad seat towards the back of the bus ! Our room 03 was a little dirty and so many little things were broken in room/shower which didn't stop us but is still disappointing when you consider there are westerners running the place .
It's very close to the old market and the staff was really helpful. Also, they clean the rooms everyday.
The water from tabs in the bahtroom taste like a rust. I don't know whether this is a city's problem or hotel's
1. good location, not far away from night market. 2. good connecting of wifi 3. pillow is better than average level. 4. in opposite side, there is a travel agent, you can find Paul and for a good price to outer circuit by Lexus.
1. the owner is too sophisticated. high price for tuktuk. 2. bath is not very convenient.
The owners are very nice especially marie. She will really make u feel at home. Foods are delicious! Thank you also to the staff as well
the ac is not working but its okay good thing there is a fan.
Very handy to markets, Pub st etc. Staff friendly and polite. The food was ok.Reasonable English.
The steep steps.
It is an affordable place just five minutes walk from markets. Very nice owners. Surprisingly delicious cuisine! Wifi was ok, room was clean, what else to expect from an affordable hostel?
It is a hostel, and hostels are not for picky people. Room doesn't look nice, sometimes you could hear a singer from the nearby bar. But it all doesn't really disturb or matter. It was a comfortable stay, totally recommended.
I love the food and the friendly staffs and the room is clean. There's hot shower. The room is affordable and the food too. I'll give it a 10/10. I really did enjoy my stay there.
not bad, cheap price and good location, and the owner and staffs are nice.
Owner very kind n friendly, location near tourist area
I was travelling with two friends and it was our first time in Cambodia. The owners and the staff made our stay amazing, they made us feel like home and arranged everything for us. Amazing people
Everything is really good regarding the cheap price. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Free wifi is working very well. Also, they clean the room everyday. And the location is very close to the old market (in walking distance about 5-10 minutes if I remember it correctly)
The only problem I found when I stayed at Dancing Frog is the bathroom. Their doors have no handles but it's ok when you know how to keep it close and open it. Also, the first day of my stay the blanket is a little bit dirty but they changed it for me when I asked.
Very nicely owner and staffs. They are very helpful with everything. you can ask for anything including the ticket they will find for you. The location is quite good and near the night market and pub street where you can find nice foods and beers.
The tap is seem old theb made the water smell and taste like rust
The staff was really nice and helpful, especially the lovely french lady. Even though we arrived early in the morning, our room (more about that in the negative section) was ready and the tuk tuk driver for the day was also arranged. The laundry service offered, is quick and cheap. We had some food in the restaurant there and can highly recommend the tuna sandwich.
Well, the room was the worst we stayed in during our travel in South East Asia. You won't find it anywhere on the pictures because, as the owner told us, they didn't put pictures of it online, which is misleading (on purpose??). It felt more like a storage room where a bed was put in. There is an air-con, which is good but little to no air circulation, especially in the bathroom. The bathroom looks old and poorly improvised like it wasn't completely finished. The "furniture" was a bit dusty and the bedsheets smelled like they were changed a while ago. When we had a closer look at the pillows, we discovered mold on them, so we used our own. I tried to tell the owner about the bad state of the room but he claimed that it would be perfectly normal and just a 12 USD room and then he left the room before I was able to show him the pillows. The price is really no excuse whatsoever. We had excellent rooms in Cambodia for less and I would suggest to not offer those rooms any more because it will upset people a lot (as other reviews already showed). To save the best for last: Don't be surprised if a cockroach runs over your head at night. This really happened to us. I'm sure the other rooms on the pictures are perfectly fine and our review would have been much different if we would have stayed in one of those.
The location was good, really close to the pub street and to the night market. The owner and his wife are really nice people, were glad to help me all the time. I came earlier than the check in time, but still they let me to ake a shower and to leave my staff. What I really liked was their omelette with cheese, mushrooms and tomato, very tasty and portion is big. Also they offered me a nice way how can I visit Angkor and nearest temples and Tonlesap lake. The lake tour was extremely interesting and the tuk tuk driver was wonderful.
