- nice stuff - clean room - safe in the room - Pub street just behind the corner
- some days there is live music nearby you can hear (not much but can be disturbing)
Bathroom will be better if it's a little bit cleaner. I love my bath room spotless. Ac took forever to cool down the family room.
Super comfortable, modern room. Great staff. Cocktail hour
Stairs, but not a big problem
Loved the location and th staff were awesome!
Location is excellent, staff are very helpful and pleasant.
Don't stay here if you want to be asleep before midnight, central location means you get all the noise from local bars.
- nice Rooms with a great view - very, very central - only 2min walk to Pub Street - great rooftop-terrace - would go there again!
We really liked the hotel, but it is definately not suitable for elderly people, as - it can get very loud at night - there is no elevator and many stairs
Too noisy at night.
It is very noise at night, the music was still loud at 3 am.
The hotel is centrally located . Courteous staff.
The hotel did not have lift. It was very difficult to locate.
Location, stylish room and lobby, staff friendliness, food
It is really a good hotel which is close to old market and very convenient. Staffs of the hotel is amazing and help us a lot. My frind lost her passport in Siam Reap, and during that time they provided a room for us and helped us to contacte with hotel in Phnom Penh.
Tuk tuk driver is also working in hotel. Is very good and friendly!
The location was fantastic - in the heart of the old market area and by all the restaurants and activity. The staff were amazing. They were very helpful and went out of their way to make my stay comfortable.
Gets a little noisy at night because of all the bars and restaurant activity around
It was very centrally located
The karaoke coming from somewhere nearby until the wee hours.
In a motorbike free pedestrian alley replete with loads of restaurants between the Old Market and Pub street the location can't be beaten for Siem Reap. You might expect the noise from nightclubs to be a problem but surprisingly it did not worry us at all. The standard room we booked was small but comfortable with good A/C.
!) Information supplied on Booking.com contains misrepresentations-standard rooms do NOT have balconies and our room was at most 12m2 not 20m2 as advertised. This needs to be corrected on the Booking.com site. 2) The shower and basin are at the end of the bed with no dividing wall or partition to separate from the bedroom. A strange curtain and hook arrangement is provided for those who need privacy when showering or dressing (not my property but I would put up some aluminium shutters and a sliding door). 3) On the couple of times we visited the roof top terrace it was not set up with chairs but we could see how it would be very enjoyable if we had been able to use it. Having said all this we enjoyed our stay and would stay again. After all we were looking for well located, good value accommodation while we trekked around the temples and that is what The Purple Mangosteen provided.
Friendly staff, nice atmosphere and good location. A great gin and tonic too!
The location is fantastic. Inspite of being in the center of the old market and night tourist activity the room was very quiet. Breakfast is not provided but a near by coffee shop Blue Pumpkin has excellent breakfast. Staff hotel was very responsive-my air conditioner stopped working. The fan was provided immediately and the next day the ac was fixed.
A very nice designed boutique hotel. Very friendly staff, also capable of speaking german and italian. Lovely roof terrace. I origanally planned to stay for three nights, at the end it were five nights. It is not a quiet place, but you know that before when you book a hotel in the middle of a tourist town. Reasonable prices, a clear recommondation
what made this stay better was stuffs. Even room was a bit expensive compared with the price, helpful and ｗ armful stuff made me feel like that was worth to pay. You probably can't sleep well if you're sensitive toward noise.
-Location -attitude of hotel stuffs -room
-No elevator -unbeleabable dranker's crazy song from karaoke club next to this hotel until midnight everyday. Inpossible to sleep!! -Taxi cannot come to this hotel due to too narrow road in front of this hotel
The complimentary late check out was really nice. The tuktuk driver assigned to us was very polite and helpful. The hotel is in the middle of everything, very convenient.
The furniture and facility were pretty new. I loved the location, major sight seeing places at night was walking distance. The owner was very friendly!
The hotel was located in a smal alley so it was difficult for tykutuku drivers to find the place. It would have been even better if breakfast was included.
It's noisy! So if you're a light sleeper, bring your earplugs
The staff very very friendly and helpfull.. the location is so great with surrounding shopping places and place to eat. The cleaniness of the room so awesome. The wifi very strong. Its just walking distance to night market. And for muslim traveler its not hard to find a halal food. U just can take tuk tuk and ask them to bring u to the nearer halal restaurant. Overall... i am so pleased staying here... and for sure i'll come again to stay..
