Didn't bother us but there was no fridge in the room.
Great staff - Tim greeted us with cold drinks and gave us lots of tips for viewing the temples. There were always tuk tuk drivers outside and the hotel is a short walk from the night market and lots of restaurants/bars. Tim recommended the circus to us and reserved tickets. We were so grateful as the circus was the highlight of our time in Cambodia. The room was really comfortable and treated for mosquitoes, there was even a short documentary saved on the tv about Angkor Wat which made for good viewing before our first day at the temples.
The friendliness of the staff the Cambodian special meals when we were too tired to brave the Siam Reap scene The pool especially after a day of temples Chin the tuk tuk driver
- The whole place is immaculate - The staff and owners are super friendly - The street it's on is quiet - The breakfast, though only a few options, has exceeded our expectations. I would rather have 3 or 4 amazing options rather than a buffet that doesn't take my fancy.
Hosts were very accommodating and helpful in setting up tour guide and tuk-tuk drivers. GREAT saltwater pool. Coffee was the best I had in the 2 weeks I was in SEA.
Everything was perfect!!!
Very friendly and attentive staff, beautiful and clean building, relaxing pool area, perfect location. WiFi 100%. Breakfast like from your mother. Great lesson of customer service! Personal overview of owners Tim and Sophearit 24/7.
Very warm welcome, the owner speaks fluently Dutch French and English. The staff speaks good English and is very attentive. The hotel is an old villa with lovely original features but with a modern design. Breakfast is very nice and well cared for and the food in the restaurant is also delicious.
Friendly, helpful staff, comfy rooms and a great pool. The food was good too. A nice place to land after hot, dusty explorations of the city and the Khmer temples.
The owners are lovely, you are greeted personally and given useful tips. Chandara the manager was also super helpful and nice. She organised us the drivers and gave helpful tips. We also loved the hotels tuktuk driver mr Kean. The location is great, night market and pub street are in walking distance but still quite. Kids spent hours in the pool. Hotel has a good size and we quickly befriended other guests.
- Friendly, personable staff. - Great breakfast - Great location & facilities
A little oasis within walking distance to Pub Street and the markets. Nice little pool, decent food and helpful and gracious staff.
We felt like we were staying at a friend's house. The location was perfect as it is in a peaceful and quiet part of town, and still within minutes walk from the centre.
The road leading to the hotel was in poor condition with lots of potholes making for a rather bumpy ride.
We were impressed with the cosines of the place as well as the warm and friendly service provided during our stay of 5 nights. A place I would highly recommend to stay at for anyone visiting Siem Reap.
We enjoyed almost every aspect of our stay here. The hospitality of the staff, clean and comfortable room, the terrace, the food and especially the salt water pool (small but lovely, perfect for chilling out after a hot day at the temples or sunbathing in a lazy afternoon). The overall ambient is very cosy. About 15 mins walk or a short tuk tuk ride ($2 USD) away from the pub street thus isolated from all the late night noises. As the others mentioned the ride to the hotel is rather bumpy but not an issue as we found it a rather funny experience.
Staff is super friendly in arranging reservations to temple, restaurants, events in town. Breakfast is solid and hearty with plenty of fruit and yogurt. Rooms and showers are well sized. Bed is firm but we're used to that and liked the feel.
Kindness of the staff, food, Cleanliness, peacefuleness, everything really, just go and see by yourself.
access lane is rough and dusty
Quiet rooms, good wifi, excellent service, incredible breakfast (homemade yogurt, fresh fruit, eggs to order, fresh buns and delicious crepes/pancakes), beautiful pool, and welcoming hosts. Loved the greeting with cool towel and lime juice. Tuk tuks are always available at the door. Nice family atmosphere.
Location, maybe a little bit out of the way
We realise that it is not very environmentally-friendly to have a mini-fridge in each room, but it would be great if there was a communal fridge (e.g. one on each floor) so that guests could store their water/other drinks.
The best thing about the Rose Apple is the welcoming, helpful staff. They are delightful and very accommodating to all types of requests. The location is good (peaceful yet walking distance - 15 mins - to Pub Street), and the rooms are comfortable. The saltwater pool is lovely. Free bottled water was provided every day. A lovely stay overall!
pool interior staff
Couldn't have been happier. Small, personal, modern, good location, and extremely helpful and friendly staff.
The Rose Apple exceeded our expectations! We booked many places through booking.com for our trip and they were the only ones to email us first. They were helpful in arranging transportation and tours. The place is lovely, set back from the city center but easily within walking distance. The room was clean and spacious and everything well thought of. Breakfast was substantial and the staff were all genuinely friendly and helpful. I especially loved the open atmosphere of the kitchen and pool. The owners were so nice- giving an overview of the place, never pressuring you but always ready to help if need be. This is why we choose boutique hotels- you feel taken care of and welcome, unlike major hotel chains which you feels only like a business, not an experience. Thank you to everyone who has created this unique and amazing place!
Attentive & helpful staff Flexibility with travel arrangements
Nothing - it was perfect!
great location just off the main centre and only 10 mins walk into town max. The couple who owned the hotel were very welcoming and all their staff were very friendly. A delighful restaurant where we eat great food for 2 of the 4 nights we were there and a pool which was very welcome after a hot day visiting the temples
no organized group tours to angkor wat but always tuk tuk drivers available
very good breakfast nice pool to relax friendly staff
Nothing. Loved it all
We loved the setting and the layout of rose apple boutique, it is a divine place for breakfast and dinner with the doors open to the pool. All the meals are individally cooked in the dining room while you wait. Fresh and beautiflly cooked. Fresh coffees and a bottle of water in the room each day.
