The Samar Villas & Spa Resort  

The hotel is overall beautiful and carefully decorated. Breakfast is freshly made for each guest.

No free rides to the city, which was previously stated in the website but later taken down. Water was yellowish with a rusty taste, plus bath didn't drain easily. No felxibility to provide water boiler even when asked. Stayed in one of the apartments upstair overlooking the pool, huge bathroom but bedroom and living room were way too small for comfort. There are easily better options in Siem Reap.

Nice hotel, good location, really nice bed room

Staff are good, but language barriers and quality arent that of a top hotel - but then you wouldnt really expect that. so for the price, good.

The hotel is nicely decorated in southeast Asian style and located in a quiet place surrounded by banana trees. Our villa is very comfortable and luxury. My wife likes the garden very much. However, It's a pity for no chance to have a leisure breakfast in the garden due to our tight tour schedule. The stewards and stewardesses are all very kind and helpful. This is a high rated hotel for stay and worth the price.

The Samar Villas is simply beautiful!! It is certainly the best place to relax in Siem Reap! The villas are beautifully decorated and the staffs are very nice. The food at the restaurant is de-li-ci-ous and the breakfast is divine! And the pool... Amazing!! I've been traveling a lot and I can say that I Love this Hotel! Really! Excellent! From Mr Le Goec.

Haben die Samar Villa für 2 Tage gebucht, waren sehr enttäuscht, Lage ist zwar ruhig, aber das ganze Ambiente hat uns nicht gefallen. Wäre gerne ein Boutiquehotel, dazu fehlt aber der persönliche Service und die kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten. Die Villa wurde nie richtig kühl, trotz 2 Airconditions roch es muffig darin und alles war abgedunkelt, weil sonst zu einsichtig von Nebengebäuden. Und die Riesenkakalake unter dem Bett hat uns dann den Rest gegeben ... Würde das Raflles empfehlen, würden nächtes Mal nur dort übernachten, war aber leider ausgebucht. Samar Manager war ausgesprochen unhölich zu unserem tollen Privatguide, dürfte auch zu seinen Mitarbeitern so unfreundlich sein.

Le séjour a été merveilleux. Un véritable hôtel de charme, à taille humaine, extrêmement confortable et raffiné. L'appartement famille avec 2 chambres et 2 salle de bain est parfait ! Le personnel est vraiment adorable et la french touch de la direction est remarquable. De plus la prise en charge de type agence de tourisme directement par la direction de l’hôtel est particulièrement pro et vous permet de vous en remettre complétement à eux pour l'organisation des visites des temples : guide francophone, taxi,... Ne passez pas à cote d'un bon massage au spa de l’hôtel en revenant des visites. Merci!

La disponibilité et les conseils du directeur, la gentillesse et la grande disponibilité du personnel, le calme et la beauté du lieu. Tout respire et invite à la sérénité. Les 5 jours passés à Siem Reap dans ce magnifique hôtel nous ont permis d'alterner repos et visites et de profiter au maximum de notre séjour.

Seul petit point faible, le Spa qui n'est pas à la hauteur du luxe de l'hôtel.

This hotel is quite misrepresented on their web site and is definitely not value for money. All the positive reviews must have been submitted by friends of the owners. Management is idiosyncratic to say the least. The ambiance is like a combo of aunty's drawing room full of knick knacks and a summer camp for adults. There is little flexibility in meal options and if you want to grab something outside meal times you wait a long while. Food quality and service is average to poor.The rooms are right next to the swimming pool with no privacy. You walk outside your door and the pool is 4 meters away. Rooms are pricey and noisy if you are either above the kitchen (yes beware, there is a 'luxury apartment' that is actually above the kitchen) or in one of the downstairs rooms. Floors are timber so you hear every step upstairs. You are about 5 ks from the town centre and the hotel; insists on booking your tuk tuk so they can skim money off the fee they charge you. Terrible, dont go there. Spoilt my holiday

Flexibilität, Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft des Personals, Design des Hotels - wunderschön im Kolonialstil. Daneben hat es ein gutes Restaurant mit einer sehr sehr schönen Bar.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is ideal for visiting Angkor Wat. The Villa is beautiful and peaceful.

The rude French owner. Compulsory NYE dinner that wasn't mentioned when booking. Ride into town not free as stated on own website. Safe not secure as removable. Faulty plug on fridge.

hotel un peu à l'écart, l'hotel surtaxe les tuk tuk , il vaut mieux en prendre un en amrchant jusqu'à la route
