Room was always quiet, AC worked very well, breakfast very good. Staff very courteous.
Only one working outlet for recharging stuff. Coffee not replaced after first morning. Mosquitoes in room for some reason the third night. Little things easily fixed.
Mosquitos kept getting inside our room
Best staff in Southeast Asia perfect Siem reap location beautiful hotel and rooms very accomodating
The staff were extremely helpful!
The amazing staff so friendly especially the evening clerk: Son?; the design of the hotel; location; value for money;
Rooms weren't well lit; face clothes and hair dryers not included
1- the staff 2- the location 3- staff in rest. During breakfast. .the best 2 girls I have ever seen in my life 4- good trips orgainzed by the hotel although street vendors r cheaper
Ants in the fruits during breakfast The open area is not that clean Mosquitos in the room however the used a spary when we ask for it Expensive ...the hotel next is only 10 $ not 40 $ and no big difference but over all I recommend this place :)
Close to everything that matters
The stairs to first floor
- helpful and excellent staff with a warm polite smile every day (I would said is every minutes :D) - room service are done everyday where cleanliness are superb - location wise just 3min walk to town area (that is the greatest part, where you can hang till late at night, no worries to catch up tuk-tuk at midnight) - value for money? yes of course
- all guest shoes have to leave on front desk, where it makes a smell in the front desk during night time. But this is a good way to keep the Villa from all the dust/mud from outside (don't worry staff will take care all the shoes)
Everything! Our tuk tuk driver from there who took us around to the temples was absolutely fantastic. I think his name was Sum. Everyone front of house was excellent and helpful. The restaurant staff were great and the only thing i would suggest is to have some white wine on hand when we next go!
Staff, wi-fi, location, tuk-tuk organised by the hotel.
Very helpful staff. They provided guidance on how to tour Ankor Wat and coordinated a tuk tuk driver. Breakfast was also good. The location is close to Pub St. & the Night Market which makes walking convenient. The room was clean and comfortable and the wifi worked well.
Near the centre of town and easy to access the popular spots. In-house staff were very good and gave excellent service. Front of house staff were a little overwhelming in their enthusiasm to help.
Everything was spotless, but room was very dark with insufficient lighting to read. Also the balcony was so small that I would have been embarrassed to call it this. Open staircase not for the feint-hearted. Nitpicking as all good.
Location couldn't be better, staff were helpful, breakfast was filling.
By 10pm you can't request for extra pillows/blankets anymore because they have locked the store room by then.
The people that work here are so friendly and nice it's incredible. The location is ideal just off pub street. Bed is a nice foam mattress, rooms are modern and clean. Of our month long trip in Asia it's the service from this team that stands out in my head.
The hotel is very conveniently located, close to the main streets and facilities. The rooms are very clean and comfortable but the best thing is the extremely friendly staff, they will help you with any query or issue, always with a smile on the face! 10/10
Not being able to spend more time there
quiet clean comfortable great advice on food options for night dining. internet good.
*limited breakfast options *pricing for tours at front desk a little higher than agencies in street. * room a little small. *key card which must be left at desk, also turns off refrigerator. It took us 2 days to discover that we could ask for a blank card. this meant we had ice and cold drinks when we returned at end of day.
Villa Medamrei is a wonderful hotel that offers exceptional service in a great location (close to pub st) of Siem Reap. The staff could not have been more helpful, the breakfasts excellent and the terrace was the perfect place for a drink after a long day at the Temples. Highly recommend this hotel.
It was all good
The decor is to kill for... so smartly done...I've been in a lot of hotels and for the money the best feeling in the world.
size of the bathroom... but it was o.k.
the room is a little smelly
The staff are excellent in their helpfulness and are trained well. All I met spoke English and understood every query or request, they even accommodated me after I'd checked out! Room was very quiet, clean, very comfortable and with a beautiful secret garden! (109)
The welcome drink and snacks were lovely, but the introduction to the area provided was a little too much for me on arrival! No real space for belongings or clothes, just a couple of hangers. Breakfast could be vastly improved, I'm not fussy, but for the standard of everything else it was disappointing (but not bad!).
Staff were extremely friendly (welcome drink, very helpful in booking a bus to Phnom Penh for us); spacious, clean room with large bathroom; reliable Wi-Fi connection; food was good value; great location (close to Night Market, Pub Street, but nevertheless quiet during the night)
Breakfast portions were too small (at least for a standard-size European)
The staff was friendly and immensely helpful, they were honest and helped us organised tours and guides even though we were planning our day trips on a rather last minute basis. Maybe it was the fact that it was the low season and the hotel had few guests (so they had more time to focus on their current guests) But overall it was such a good experience and worth every penny.
The moment my friend and I walked in we loved it. They immediately took our bags asked us to remove our shoes and escorted us to the most calming waiting area. They were quick to bring us a cool cloth, banana chips and iced lemongrass tea that really hit the spot. Our room, (104) was ready early and it was clean and adorable! The decor was simple but appealing with bright pops of red against the white bedding. We had a door that opened to the outdoor brick perimeter, but not big enough to sit, who wants to stay at the hotel anyhow? :) The bathroom was decent size and clean with good water pressure and cool or hot water depending on your needs. The foam beds were a little firm for my liking but we didn't sleep much because we made the most of our days leaving before sunrise and coming back after dark. The staff, breakfast on the balcony and location was great too. Nothing to complain about. Loved it! If you can get Roni as your tuk-tuk driver you won't be disappointed. He typically parks to the eft of the front door when you exit. Enjoy, we did!!
Small things... The bed was a bit firm but at least they weren't sagging. We thought our transfer back to the hotel was included but it wasn't, so Roni was there to take us for $5.
Firstly it was in a perfect location just round the corner from where it was all happening in Siem Reap. The staff were very friendly and made sure that we were well looked after. The bedrooms were comfortable and clean. Can't fault it to be honest.
Staff were very helpful. It is very near pub street, but far enough away not to hear it when trying to sleep. Rooms had everything we needed.
