Google maps is not available for walking navigation.
Google maps is not available for walking navigation. Naver doesn't work well enough, not easy to track. Food in Seoul is quite good. Local people are not friendly, sometimes hard to ask their support for street direction. I could not visit DDP Art & Museum because the ticket officer didn't explain clearly, just told me to wait outside.

Get a WOWpass, that's the first thing I'd recommend anyone who plan to travel to Korea. Although most shops accept cash but having a WOWpass (works as a debit card) is so much more convenient, especially if you do not speak Korean.
The transportation in Seoul is very convenient, just follow the routes recommended for you in NAVER app. You can get to anywhere!
Shopping and K-pop culture are must do/see/visit in Korea! I always come to Seoul for concerts plus one or two days relaxing, ie shopping, cafe-ing. One thing must be mentioned is that; any coffee shop, absolutely any cafe in Seoul, is fabulous!!

Seoul is a great place to find something new and to discover...
Seoul is a great place to find something new and to discover new foods and cultures. However, Seoul is very big. It is made up of many different kinds of neighborhoods that each target a different demographic. So when you think of Seoul, don't think of it as one place. Think of it as many different little neighborhoods that are all connected. You can easily travel by foot, bus, car, or train to any neighborhood. Just be willing to travel!!

Seoul is a beautiful city, easy to navigate with a local app called Naver maps. There are so many restaurants in and around Seoul and it's real is a Haven for foodies. I would suggest buying a Tmoney card in the convenience store and topping that up for use in public transports such as buses and subway (taxis as well).

Very clean city and Koreans are very disciplined .
Very clean city and Koreans are very disciplined . Very nationalistic and because of this communication is difficult. Street signs and other directions are in Korean . Best to have a translator app on your phone.
Loved wearing their National costume -Hanbok and walking to the palace wearing it. How nice that they keep their culture and tradition to this day.

The biggest issue is the airport at Incheon .
The biggest issue is the airport at Incheon . Upon arrival the baggage carousel was chaotic with cases just carelessly thrown on the conveyor in some cases the luggage was piled up 3 high making it very difficult and dangerous to retrieve. I almost put my back out retrieving my luggage
On departure it took 70 mins to go through security. The procedure is far too slow and the queue area is very cramped and too hot . A very long and uncomfortable experience.
I loved my stayed in Koreana Hotel. The room was so beautiful and spacious. I know some ppl complained about the dim lights but it was fine with me. The room was so clean and it had the nice warm toilet. There is microwave upstairs. There is a convenience store right next door. The train station is 5 minutes walking. And you can book a bus to the airport from the front desk. Everyone was super friendly and they all spoke English which I was grateful because I barely speak Hangul. Anyway, I loved my stay here 😊.
The hotel was very nice and modern, and I enjoyed my 5 night stay. The beds were comfortable, and I liked having a small couch in my room. I also needed laundry facilities, which were in the basement and worked quite well for me. I also liked the small convenient store on the first floor, and some cafes and restaurants were very close by. Overall I was very happy with my stay, and within 2 and a half weeks in South Korea and after staying in 6 different hotels, this one one of my favorite hotels.
My third time staying at Pacific Hotel, and it remains my go-to hotel in Seoul! It's conveniently located in front of Myeongdong station, yet away from the hustle and bustle of Myeongdong night market across the street. A no-frills, comfortable stay; the staff is also very friendly and accommodating. I left my massive luggage with them for about a week while I was travelling around Korea before checking back into Pacific Hotel, and they managed that without any issues. Highly recommended!
Its nice place, clean n nice view location is great, but because its on steep hill may bit harder for people who not as fit like me😅..so catch a taxi if carry big baggage.
The free breakfast is nice bonus, the room cleaness is actually in par with 5 star hotel. The owner took pride of its place
location close from Myungdong st
The top floor is nice view of Namsan tower, great for relaxing
The korean traditional bedding actually comfy.
There is floor heating so its comfy in winter
The hotel is in a good location, literally 5 mins walk from DDP. Not too far from main tourist sites (Myeongdong, Hongdae etc). The area itself also has a lot to do and see near DDP like shops, cafes etc. The staff helped us with our bags at check-in and we had to modify our booking to leave early, which they helped us with. If you're only concerned about having a no frills place to stay/short stay (we only stayed 2 nights) and you're not fussy, then it's okay.
Situated right above the Gongdeok station which is on the airport train line, the staff were lovely, helpful and could communicate in English very well. The room was so spacious with a very large bathroom with a separate bath and overhead shower. I was able to store my large luggage at the hotel for 3 days as I had two reservations planned on either side of a weekend in Busan. It was my best hotel stay in Korea.
Location was central to everything, right next to the night markets and shopping strip which was very convenient. Theres a bar downstairs which also served food and a vending machine with noodles and frozen meals. Decor was modern and stylish. We received a welcome drinks token for the bar on arrival. We stayed in 3 hotels during our stay in South Korea and this was our favourite one.
Our room was so much nicer than I expected! We had two queen beds, a huge bathroom with a separate tub and shower, and a small shared balcony. The staff were incredibly kind, spoke fluent English, and even lent us an umbrella when the rain really started to come down. I've stayed in a lot of hotels and rentals in South Korea, and this one was definitely the best.
Great location. Close to subway Station and it's right at the end of myeongdong shopping street. super convenient for a person whom doesn't like to waste unnecessary steps like me.
my room came with full windows overlooking the city street which was nice.
the bed and pillow was one of the best we had amongst all our hotel stay in South korea.
My booking experience with Slow Vibe Myeongdong in Seoul, Korea, was highly positive. Overall, I had a wonderful experience. Jay and Yoonie, the hosts, were outstanding, and the hotel's location in Myeongdong was very convenient. While the first room was small and windowless, the second room was spacious and had excellent ventilation.
It was super central. Great coffeeshops close by to try out. The airport bus station is 5 min away from the hotel which is also super convenient.
The staff was excellent and super professional.
I travelled for three weeks in South Korea and this was by far my best experience. Highly recommend it.
It was exactly what you would expect from a 4 star hotel. It was very nice, our room was on a very high floor and there was a nice view on the city, that really enjoyed.
It was hard to understand their English, but at least they spoke good enough English which is a rare thing in South Korea.
I live in Korea and I've stayed here a few times. This is the best hostel in Hongdae. There is an aircon so the rooms are cool. The location is great and a 10 minute walk from the station. There are steps to get to the top bunk so you don't have to climb a ladder.
Great central location to hop on trains and buses and walk various places. Nice staff. Airport limo stop basically out front. Nice room and bathroom (private with door, unlike some Korean hotels). Overall good value.
Location is excellent, room is comfy, modern and clean
Services is beyond 5 star hotel. Love it so much!
The staff is all very nice and speak very goid english. Will definitely back to this hotel if we come to korea.
Great location- literally across the street from GMP airport! Took us 5 minutes to get to the International terminal. Couldn’t have asked for anything better! Great shower. Large bathroom for a Korean hotel!
-Very friendly and attentive staff.
-One of the most comfortable beds in our stay in South Korea.
-Clean room
-Although the city is huge, we really liked the location in Hongdae and the hotel is placed well
It was one of the best hostels in Korea I've been to. cheapest price. comfortable room. entertainment around. friendly host. This place. It's the perfect space. I will definitely visit again!!
