Seogwipo has so many places to visit and have hidden gems that are not given a lot of reviews. We had a variety of food but we particularly liked the BBQ and Bibimbap. We had rented a car and navigation around Seogwipo has been easy! We loved our trip and will be coming back for more - especially to hunt for more hidden gems!

A Quite place and peaceful, nice for escape.
A Quite place and peaceful, nice for escape. A lot of nice coffee shop and good restaurants. Transportation around the city maybe inconvenient if visitor want to move quickly from a place to another. Renting a car maybe a good option. Only short visit, came for a trail run so didn’t visit much tourists place or attractions.

As I understand it, Seogwipo can refer to both the city as well as the broader southwestern region of Jeju. We did not actually go to the city of Seogwipo. There was plenty to do even closer to our village in the Andeok valley. We hiked up Mt Hallasan (the Yeongsil trail), visited the closest sandy beach at Hwasun, and took the ferry to Marado island, the southernmost point in Korea. Otherwise we spent time walking on the Olle trails and trying local food like black pork and fresh fish. There are plenty of tourist attractions around, but the natural areas are so amazing that we did not make it to these. I could probably spend months on this little island and not get bored. It can be a little daunting to get around without knowing any Korean, but it is doable, and having a host who knows English can help a lot.

It was a lovely hotel with beautiful views and beautiful room. Jacuzzi tub with a view was wonderful. The pool area spectacular. The staff was so kind, friendly and incredibly helpful. The walk to the Secret Garden was soooo secret!!😂😱 The breakfast buffet is probably one of best I’ve ever had anywhere. If you don’t have a car, highly recommend the day taxi tour!’
I’d come back in a heartbeat.
Downside is there isn’t a ton of good options within walking distance. But a short 6500 won ride to Olle Town solves that issue. There is a CU a block or so away from
Hotel.

Seogwipo felt much nicer than Jeju city.
Seogwipo felt much nicer than Jeju city. The feel was small townish. Lovely views, nice restaurants. Some sights like the two best waterfalls were in town. Short driving distance to all sights that we were interested in.
The staff very attentive and welcoming. We were given an upgrade to a Premier twin which was much appreciated. The room was well appointed and well designed eg the hand basin was outside the bathroom so things didn’t get wet when you had a shower. The hotel was located within a short walk to cafes and restaurants and close to the airport bus stop. The breakfast was very good with a mix of Korean and European dishes to choose from. The lobby was very impressive. We would definitely choose this hotel if we stayed in Seogwipo again.
Lovely hotel in a quiet part of Seogwipo. Our room had a balcony overlooking orange farms, and was really cosy. Many plugs and usb ports for east charging. The bathroom was excellent with a tub, shampoo and soaps, and a Japanese style toilet with bidet and all that jazz. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, with an understandable standard of English. There was a convenience store just by the hotel, for snacks or last minute necessities.
The hotel itself was clean and well kept, while the rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. It isn’t in a particularly busy area so it isn’t very noisy around, but the hotel is close enough to some attractions to easily walk around this part of Jeju. The best thing was the staff! Oh my goodness, I’ve never had such friendly staff from an accommodation! The team here is being led well and is doing a fantastic job!
The owner Mr. Kim was extremely nice despite his lack of English. We used Google translation. He even drove me to a nice local restaurant nearby that I wanted to go to when I could not get a taxi. He offered good suggestions on what to see after I discovered his views were better than online information.
You can also get a fantastic view from the hotel rooftop. Nicer than from a 5-star hotel down the hill.
After a busy day exploring Jeju, we checked into Ocean Square Resort and were excited to see the great view of the ocean and pool. The staff was very helpful and friendly, showing us to our room. The beds were comfy and rooms were clean but we had trouble keeping the room at a comfortable temperature - we woke up hot in the middle of the night. overall, this is a great hotel.
The owner is a very nice host and very responsive. He allowed us to leave our suitcases while we went on excursions before coming to stay at the hotel. The location was great, in a quiet location with only the sea on the front of the hotel. There are several eateries and cafes in a walking distance and main attractions are just a short drive away.
Good position. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel, which is very convinient to move around the area. The buses connect to most of touristic places in Seogwipo.
There is two 7-11 stores in front, the food street nearby. 7 minutes walking to Ollel Market.
There is a microwave and water supply on 1st floor.
Good sound proof on 10th floor.
Rooms are clean and airy, get one on oceanside. The other side is too dark view of church and school. I moved to oceanside see pic . Walking to dining and water and market. They shut off the AC in hotel in October so had to ask for fan. Weather was still warm. Staff at desk, housekeeping and engineering all lovely and helpful.
It was a pleasant stay here. Very convenient, the location is near Seogwipo Bus Terminal. Traveling with family by having the nearest supermarket, Emart does help us a lot to buy groceries. The services & facilities provided by the hotel were superb. I couldn't say more, just stay here, it is so worth the value of the money.
The hotel was excellent. Everything you need very close by and convenient, helpful and polite staff and a really beautiful dog in the café. The rooftop has an amazing view and when we stayed it was so quiet and relaxing. The games room and gym are great and easily accessible.
It was a nice central location in Seogwipo. An easy bus or car ride to a few waterfalls and Camellia Hill. The beds were very comfortable. There were also quite a few restaurants within walking distance and two convinience stores that were super close to the hotel.
Great. Better if you got a car to access but easily feasible by public transportation. It's great if you don't mind walking a bit otherwise. Clean hotel and rooms. Staff very friendly and helpful, they will recommend places to eat.
Great rooftop.
Tucked away in the quiet south of Jeju, it was really a treat to wake up to the beautiful sea view and natural landscape.
Front desk staff as well as other hotel staff were very warm and helpful.
Room was clean and spacious for both of us!
The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The hotel staff were pleasant and very helpful when we wanted to book an early morning taxi. The location also made it very easy to walk around Seogwipo and the surrounding attractions.
Rooms were clean and spacious. Basic amenities (e.g. fridge, hangers) were provided. Direct bus (bus 600) from the Airport to the hotel. About 20 minutes bus ride away to Seogwipo Bus Terminal. Friendly counter staff :)
The hotel was located in Seogwipo, near the beach and restaurants. We were able to use the pool of the neighboring hotel free of charge. The communal area’s were nice.it was nice the room had 2 separate bedrooms.
The best thing about the hotel is its location. It’s relatively close to Seogwipo beach and there are a few cafes and restaurants in the neighbourhood as well.
this is definitely my favorite hotel in Jeju island, the staff were friendly and helpful, specious rooms and comfortable beds, and they have smart TV !!
