Hotel Manhattan    

The staff was nice and very obliging and they speak really good english. The room was great and the location was perfect - no long way to the subway station. I really loved the hotel. Will go there again when I am in Seoul again =)

Hotel staff Eric speaks english and is helpful to answer all the questions,free breakfast including toast, water, coke,pop corn.and 24 hour cofee machine.

It's a bit far away from tourst spot like Mindon.

Excellent English speaking front desk person, most helpful covering some shortcomings of the facilities. Nothing fancy but perfectly adequate for a quick business trip.

First room had door lock problem the room changed for the second night.

Feel comfortable in our room. The most important is the room and bed is clean, no hairstrand in our bed sheet. Have sleep well after our sightseeing.

It is a good location which is near subway, coex shopping center and city air terminal. Room is nice and clean and also value for money. There is breakfast room which provide you a nice chicken salad and drinks. Reception and hotel person are so friendly and helpful.

More variety for breakfast would be nice

The service staffs has been excellent, English is widely spoken and they really show good care for customers needs. Not many hotels in Gangnam offers 3 bedded room but Manhattan has rather sizeable room. The luxury room we took on 9th floor even has a personal jacuzzi and steam room inside our room!! Great hotel!

The heater is always tripping and needs resetting all the time. Heating in the large bathroom is not sufficient during their cold harsh winter month

Service is excellent. The front desk staffs are friendly and helpful. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Manhattan Hotel. Definitely worth our money.

We arrived very early in the morning at the hotel and the front desk staff immediately checked us in and escorted us to our rooms without questions asked. They were indeed very accomodating.

Location and helpfull staff

It is a 'rent buy the hour' love hotel not really a hotel. There are so many of those in Korea. Dirty bathroom, noisy rooms, sticky carpet. You get the picture.

I'm a single professional foreigner who booked this Hotel at the last minute. I was able to experience a room on level 3 on rear of the Hotel and then 2 nights on level 6 facing the street. I went out all night and come back to sleep during the daylight hours. This was fine as they have wooden door style blinds that block out the sunlight. The rooms are nice and modern. Eric the English speaking manager catered for all my requests including setting up my computer/TV to stream a live game overseas that I didn't want to miss. Seriously, if you are a traveler and want to explore the city on a budget this is a good way to go. One little gem I discovered was the little seafood place around the corner (turn left as you exit front door and its at the end of the alley/street). If you ever wanted to try live octopus go here! They have a sign with a photo on the front so you can't miss it. Looks unassuming and a place only where locals know about it, as the owners did not know how to speak English and were curious to participate in initiating me to this delicious dish. I was lucky to have someone who just happened to be able to translate for me and I had a great time at this restaurant trying some special dishes that were not on the menu. Trust me this place is not as seedy as previous conservative sounding reviewers have made it out to be. If you want 5 star go around the corner to Renaissance and pay your money. Don't pay 70 bucks and expect that. The owners of this place are just trying to make an honest living much like everyone else in Korea!

The only thing is I dont know about weekdays as Monday morning the contruction across the road continued.

The location, the room, the staff, everything was excellent. I stayed even longer than planned. For the price you get a very comfortable and clean big room. I liked everything in the hotel but the best are the staff who are ready to help you whenever you need something. Their english was also very good. I recommend and probably will visit the hotel again.

The room was spacious. The staff were friendly.

The location was way too far from everything - we travelled for hours on the subway. The toilet had a bad smell. Our window - 303 - was right next door to a powerful air conditioner that went all night. They only had paper cups for hot drinks, which were terrible. We were disappointed.

The guy that runs it was awesome...very helpful and offers great value -- little things like free drinks in the minibar, free popcorn and slushees in the lobby, and fully stocked toiletries in the room (real stuff like shaving cream, big bottles of shampoo, toothpaste...stuff you wouldn't necessarily expect a hotel to offer), along with a PC in the room and a great TV. The location was great too...close to the subway -- 3 min walk, (then usually a 20 min ride to wherever I was going that day). I would definitely stay here again!
