For a traveller with their own mode of transport, car, motorcycle or bike, its very convenient. Good value overall, and with bar facilities, sauna, restaurant, beach, shop etc all on site, it makes a good base for passing through Astana without the ridiculous central Astana prices. In Summer, rooms could use a fan or air conditioning.
