Avalon Hotel  

An excellent small hotel in the centre of Vientiane. Excellent value. The hotel had good ac, the room although fairly small was newly decorated and the bathroom very clean with very hot water. Fridge and complimentary water each day and fresh towels. BBC World Tv. Breakfast was on the front patio of the hotel over looking a quiet street. Breakfast was fresh fruit, eggs made to order, baguette, croisant and toast, coffee/tea. No fruit juice.

Nice lobby and an interesting basin. Thats about all the good things I have to say about this hotel. booking.com was prompt to resolve the issue with the hotel. Excellent service on the part of book.com.

The stay was relatively unpleasant. We made our booking via booking.com, however upon arrival at 9pm we were told that our selected rooms were not available. No solutions were given and the counter staff proposed that we pay a higher walk in rate if we wanted to stay, otherwise we can cancel and find another hotel. He claimed that he was not able to do anything as it was not his fault and asked us to call booking.com to resolve the matter ourselves. It was only later when we asked to call the hotel manager (who was not present and number was unreachable) that the counter staff agreed to put us up in the next available room. He reminded us that we should resolve this issue with the duty staff the next morning. We finally checked in after close to 1 hour of waiting. The room walls were not sound proofed and you can clearly hear guest walking along the passageways. The breakfast was poor as well. With only bread, eggs, coffee and some fruits We've definately stayed in hotels giving better value and service in Vientiane.

Superior rooms are large and offer all the comfort required. Good Wifi and water pressure/temperature, too, all for a good price.

Decoration is outdated.

Good location. Modern and spacious bathroom, which was also wonderfully clean. The staff called the bus company for us and were helpful even though they weren't able to book our tickets. However, the central location meant that we were close to several travel agents. All in all, lovely stuff, and an excellent breakfast to boot.

Location is good.

The manager looks angry all the time. The bed at the "vip" room we sleept in was missing its top madras, son you could feel the springs on your back. Not acceptable.

The bathroom is clean.

Room is to small and not valid for money. Breakfast which hotel provide us at 7.00 a.m. should change to 6.30 a.m. and very simple, only bread and tea. We rush to airport to get flight .

We were at the Suite, but have to rise 1 storey by the stair... The room is big but not according to the rate. The breakfast is poor. In case of budget rooms, may be the hotel is better...

Around the Hotel is very poor and not nice to walk. But still safe.

I stayed I this hotel after flying to Vientiane with Nok AIr which is a flight and a bus to laos Vientiane .if you are flying with Nok air the bus stop is just around the corner from hotel so very handy. Breakfast was basic, rooms basic but clean . Wifi wasnt good at all, kept cutting out. Not sure if there is much to do Vientiane so can't comment in location, but there is a lovely coffee shop/restaurant very close by this hotel called Coffee Canyon

Staff marvelous but there were language difficulties.

A good choice if you're OK with a hotel that has no charm. We had the suites which were large and clean and also had a bathtub in the middle of the room. About a 10 to 15 minute walk from the downtown. Sparse but good breakfast.

Very noisy with barking dogs. View on both sides is to vacant lots with garbage.

את הניקיון.שיש מעלית.שהמקלחת לא מעל האסלה. אהבתי את הריחות הנעימים.את המיקום היה קרוב להכול ומצד שני באזור שקט.ארוחת בוקר מספקת.ר

חדר היה קצת קטן.ישנו בחדר הוילון לא החשיך את החדר כך זוגיי.

พนักงานหยาบคายมากฉันคิดว่าคนที่แย่ที่สุดน่าจะเป็นผ- ู้จัดการโรงแรม ไม่สนใจลูกค้า ไม่ให้ความช่วยเหลือใดๆทั้งสิ้น ห้องพักสกปรก ผ้าปูที่นอนไม่สะอาด อาหารเช้าก็มีน้อยมาก ไม่คุ้มค่ากับราคาห้องพักทีื่จ่ายไป และคิดว่าจะไม่ไปประเทศนี้อีก ลาขาดเวียงจันทร์ Staff is very rude.

L'hotel est très design et compense des volumes restreints. Charmant il est placé près de quartiers agréables mais également de stations de métro.

Hotel au calme en centre ville. Les chambres sont petites mais confortables silencieuses et propres avec une salle de bain d un très bon standing pour le Laos (eau chaude avec un très bon débit facilement réglable ce qui est un exploit la bas!) Que demander de plus?

Les chiens du voisinages qui se manifestent la nuit mais l hotel n y est pour rien et c est pire partout ailleurs!

Value for money, clean room with good location, not far from city center.

The mattress and pillows are too hard, very uncomfortable and difficult to sleep. Neck and shoulder pain when we woke up the next morning. No hair dryer and no hot shower. We have to take cold shower which is quite a torture. Breakfast only bread and egg. We checked out the next day and moved to another better hotel by paying slightly more.

Bien situé et chambres spacieuses. Propre. Belle prestation : coup de coeur pour la baignoire au milieu de la chambre .... Je vous recommande si vous restez qq jours dans la capitale laotienne !
