Great old building a bit like staying in a museum or art gallery with a very handy location right across the road from the Mekong River and the night markets and very close to lots of budget restaurants

Location and the breakfast is excellent. Love the lobby a lot where you can lay down on couch and relax

Room is a bit run down and photos of room shown on website are not accurate. Water heater and air-cond need to be replaced.

Rooms are a bit shabby and the elevator still doesn't work. It was not a big inconvenience for me though could be important for older guests

The Decor and Location

No lift Furniture and equipment in rooms poorly maintained, including bathrooms. No facility in your questionnaire for gay couples. We were a gay couple

Room was clean, but tired - walls had cracks and holes in them, floor tiles were chipped, furniture was worn, bathroom was clean but in bad shape.

Nice hotel indeed. The best feature is its design, which is typically in Laotian style. The restaurant where we had our breakfast was pretty good with cheap and tasty food. As for the location, the hotel is located river side. In between there is the night market that goes through the river banks almost for one kilometer. Aside from that War Sisaket, War Prakeo and Patuxai are rather far away so that taking a tuk tuk is an unavoidable consequence.

For the price it was okay, but I prefer to pay mor and get a better place

Handy location to night market

The lift wasn't working. Room with city view wasn't worth having.

I appreciated the boutique feeling of this charming little hotel. I would definitely stay again.

Our room in particular shared a wall with the nightclub next door, which plays music that pounds until about midnight :/ It's a little tough when on a business trip, but certainly not an issue for someone on a holiday that will be out until that time.

Watch out for the photos - they are not very accurate -> probably from to time the hotel was new -> currently although the hotel is clean and right on the waterfront the interior is very beaten.

Lift did not work Had to climb up many flights of stairs, which is no good for my wife who is 6 months pregnant. Rooms were dirty. Rooms not secured to an extent, were a thief could easily break into your room. The food and hot drinks were luke warm (cold). The price range for this hotel is far to expensive for the quality and services it provides. The breakfast is not much choice, the bread was dry, the cold orange juice was warm.

Interesting reception area and central staircase. The particular location, facing the Mekong was only of benefit if you had a front room.

The first room we were allocated was very poor - dark and small with a sub-standard bathroom. The hairdryer which was next to the shower had bare wires taped up. The room we were given when we asked to be moved was adequate. Service at breakfast was slow and items were not readily replenished. The lift was out of order throughout our stay (we were on the 4th and then the 3rd floor) and the internet stopped working.

The hotel is an old style Laos hotel....with many objects in the reception area making it look like a museum I think the staff are the best thing about this hotel...very friendly and helpful, the location is good too..right on the front facing the mekong river and near to all reasturants and bars and oposit a great night market

I was disapointed with this hotel as it looks better in the photos The lift was not working and we had to walk up 3 flights of steep stairs the carpet on the stairs is very old and tatty and needs replacing even the front windows are very dirty and need a good clean the room was ok , nothing special but the bathroom too small I think the staff try hard but the hotel needs updating

I found the hotel lobby rightup to the hotel corridors a true delight with all its interesting collections of antiques, statues and decorations. It was a fantastic locatio and if you were lucky to have a river facong room it was a real treat especially with the market just below and the wonderful upstarirs bar next door! thes staff were most hepful too.

I couldn't fault it.
