First, breakfast was not well managed. Often we had to wait for forks or knives and for refills of food or beverages, such as coffee or tea. If there was one person supervising the entire breakfast period, this would not be a problem. It was also about 15 or 20-minute walk into town, which we didn't mind, but others mind find cumbersome.
The grounds were beautifully landscaped, with a large pond and cultured jungle atmosphere. The room was comfortable and gave us a beautiful yet private view over the pond. Initially, we were unhappy because we did not get the "exclusive pond view" that we had requested. The hotel explained that our room class had been changed to "pool or pond view," and we were given a less desirable pool view. Once we complained that their room class change had occurred after our reservation had been made, they apologized, upgraded us to a bungalow for the first night, and then gave us the pond view room for the remainder of our stay. Good recovery!
