1) The room smelled of cigarettes, including sheets pillows, anything! 2) Chinese managers of this hotel do not speak English, not even a word. you ignore and do not speak to you! 3) The internet connection (wi-fi) has never worked. Obviously no one knows give explanations and pretend not to understand. 4) During the second and last night a glass chandelier, which was above the bed, it is detached from the wall, while I was sleeping, and is precipitated on my head. I'm barely alive. Only bruises but no cuts, really miracle. I showed to tre Chinese receptionist Wat had happened and he is going to take the tape and he hung up on the wall. Madness! I asked to change the room, I did not even sleep under the chandelier, even if the glass was gone, but obviously he did not pretend to understand. 5) In the end, on the ground floor of this hotel do karaoke for Chinese to a very strong volume and it is impossible to sleep until 2am.
The staff were excellent, the hotel was clean , And was quiet ,John Northern Ireland
Room was big and cliean The hotel helps to arrange airport pick up.
1. The bed was very hard. So I asked for duvet becasue I was using the other duvet to cover a bed. The staff did not want to give it to me and wanted to charge more. Anyway, they took the duvet back without even telling me a word. It was very sad, because one of the staff agreed that their beds were hard and wanted to charge. 2. Its far from eating area and city center. 3. Staff were not that friendly. 4. Internet was on and off
I booked two rooms for two nights in this hotel with two differents booking, one for each night. When we arrived we paid for the two 2 nights and stayed for two nights but the hotel affirmed we didn't stay the second night and debit the price of one night (2 rooms) on my credit card. Leaving in Lao I try to fix this problem by calling and sending email but I didn't receive any answer from Phaythavone hotel. For my point of view stay far from this hotel. Guillaume
Nicely maintained hotel. Drinks and snacks available to buy. Good WiFi. We were there over new year and we're able to Skype family clearly.
Hotel was clean and wifi was fast
Staff do not speak english at all!!!This made it so difficult to try and communicate even the basics. We got the coldest most hostile welcome due to the major language barrier. Location of the hotel was fine however if you are travelling on your own i would not recommend this place as you have to walk on quite dark roads and may not be safe on your own.
staff is friendly. price, service is quiet ok for laos i guess, about 10min walk from the center.
staff spoke hardly any english, beds are hard as wood, noise on the roof every night
room needs some renovation but was clean
faulty and noisy aircondition
I love this hotel! It's in a great position. Staff are always good. Value is superb. Original room I was shown was not suitable for me. Smokers had been in the room. The staff changed my room with no fuss, no questions. Excellent customer service. Rooms air conditioned with balcony.
Nothing. All good
Very good hotel for very good price. Room was clean and very comfortable
I spent some time to find this hotel. The location shown in booking's map is wrong, please update it...
The room, was good, but the trash was burnt at 20 mt...so smoky,, we didn't have breakfast,,,,there was only some coffee and milk(mixed)power,,,,,it was far from the center ,,,,,
Friendly staff. Wi-Fi ok in the lobby.
Bathroom has to be renewed. Bad water pression... Dirty toilets.
The rooms are comfortable; it's quiet and you can open the windows, and door onto a balcony. It is close to Route 13, so if you book a bus ticket at the Tourism Information office, you could be asked to be picked up...you should not need to pay LAK40,000 pp. to go 200 metres up the laneway to route 13!!!
The location close to the Mekong river shown on the booking.com map is incorrect. The hotel is located just off Route 13, down the laneway next to the Chinese temple and opposite Toyota. It is a 15-20 minute walk to restaurants; no breakfast is offered at the hotel.
This hotel is a little gem. I loved the location. I loved the decor. I loved the service. I loved the value for money.
