It is a very well-located, well-designed hotel, well-run hotel. highly recommend it. the horizon bar is a lovely oasis in vientiane in the evening.

(1) Customer service is tiptop. We are made to feel immediately at home and warmly welcomed the moment we stepped into the hotel. (2) Staff all speak English reasonably well and are eager to help. (3) Free wifi coverage throughout the hotel. (4) Within easy walking distance from the sights and attractions of Vientiane. Short walk to the Chao Anuvoung Park.

(1) The hotel is a bit pricey. Feels like a business hotel. (2) There's mosquitoes in the room.

Salana Boutique Hotel. Vientiane. This new hotel is set in the centre of the city and only 200 metres from the Mekong River. The rooms are extremely spacious and comfortable all with magnificent bathrooms. They are beautifully decorated and very well appointed including extremely comfortable beds. The rooms are supplied with all the added requirements, including safe and free Wi-Fi. There is lovely peaceful bar on the 4th floor overlooking the river which is beautifully decorated with natural timber. Breakfast was included with the room and had a very good range of both continental and full western breakfast, as well as the Lao/Thai breakfast with a touch of Japanese flavour. I would highly recommend this hotel an certainly stay there again.

Wonderful staff and very good location. Nice rooms. The spa is not really a spa but you can get a decent massage. Take the regular rooms - the difference is insignificant.

This hotel was perfect, ideal location just a minute from the night market and river. The most amazing staff who just couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was a treat, especially after travelling for over a month prior to arrival...real bread and cheese. The rooms were immaculate, and the bar area so relaxing. Thoroughly recommended

I thought that the architecture and internal fittings were of a very high standard, exquisite taste! The staff were delightful from reception to the bar staff, porters etc. I loved staying at this hotel and will definately go back. Hiring of bikes, wonderful location, great food and surrounded by an abundance of restaurants. Breakfast was good and the staff are exceptionally well trained, speak good English and all in all a real pleasure to deal with, Room 507 The Watsons

We arrived very early at the hotel after an overnight bus and the staff were great at getting us an early check in. The location is perfect as you can walk pretty much everywhere from here and quite central along the Mekong

The kindness and helpfulness of the staff was outstanding. We also appreciated the fact that the hotel is in a perfect location, very close to the river and the night market, and overlooking a pretty Buddhist monastery.

Convenient location, nice, clean rooms.

Breakfast service was extremely slow. It was really hard to get coffee and they put such small quantities of food on the buffet that it was hard to find any food available.

Excellent staff and generally good breakfast selection albeit cold on last day! Free wi-fi.

Sets the standard for Boutique Hotels. Staff were absolutely lovely and extremely professional. Gourgeous hotel in a perfect location. Delivered chocolates to the roomevery night at bedtime! Perfect breakfast. Pricey, but worth it. Lovely bed. Best sleeps I had in Asia. Quiet but perfect location.

Pricey, and you had to pay everything up front with no refund for cancellation.
