Very good,
Score from 250 reviews
“ Everything was great, the staff, the rooms, the design, the location(only 6 mins from the centre of the town and they offer bicycles and tuk tuk for free). I gave them my clothes for the laundry and they didn't even take money for this. It is worthy of the money and absolutely in a great location. The owners are very kind, polite and pasient and they inform you about everything. Great choice. ”

Owner/manager very friendly and keen to correct all problems asap Staff very attentive Complimentary shuttle bus to town centre Poor build quality of rooms meant repeated problems-we needed to move room 3 times in 4 days due to faulty plumbing, electrics, and a decomposing animal. Free use of laptops was of limited value due to poor maintenance of software

We spent about 5 nights with Paul & Deang owner, Paul and the ever smiling team at the Hotel in April 2013 We were in Rm 4 I think which was comfy and had everything you could need- a/c, flat telly, fridge and good rainfall shower which I could actually stand under (6ft5 so its rare in asia). The garden downstairs is a great spot to sit and people watch with a cold Beer Lao before heading out for the night....

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They helped arrange all our activities and travel needs. We wanted to stay an extra night and our room was already booked, so they moved us to a better room for the same price. Highly recommend!

The staff really made this place special. Paul the manager is awesome and his mother is super nice too. They really went out of their way to provide suggestions for things that we might like to do in town. The chef even prepared a special meal for us based on some hard to find Lao ingredients that I had read about. We only planned to stay 2 nights but ended up staying 5. They offer free bikes that really helped us get a sense for the town. The room very clean and We love this hotel. My family love this hotel we don't want to leave. Definitely recommend Vangsavath Hotel is the Best accommodation to stay.

The managers were so lovely, couldn't do enough for you. Arranged transport, trips and even arranged take-away food when we were feeling tired. Shuttle bus ran frequently to take you the short trip into town. Bicycles are provided for free which was great for a nice bike ride around the town. Jacuzzi didn't work in our room - we thought it was broken so asked someone to have a look at it. We were told that it was deliberately turned off because the noise was too much. That was quite disappointing as it was one of the features used to sell the room.

Vangsavath Hotel. Luang Prabang. This hotel is little out of the centre of the town, how ever there is no problem getting into town as the hotel has both free bike and a shuttle bus that can take you where you want go. The hotel run and owned by a mother and son combination and both the mother and the son, Paul, can not do enough for you. The hotel is only eight years old, however is built in the old style to fit the Luang Prabang heritage model. The air-conditioned rooms are clean and comfortable, although the bathrooms in the garden wing are a little impractical. Breakfast is very good and the service could not be bettered. All staff are super friendly and helpful. If you like a family atmosphere, then this is the hotel for you. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Spent 2nights at this lovely hotel which was run by the friendly, warm-hearted Mother (Deang) and her son (Paul). We booked their Deluxe Double (room 324 & 327) which came with a nice double bed, jacuzzi, free Wifi (avaiable inside room and dining area only) a LCD tv with warm homely decorations. Their furniture and walls etc were all made of wood and is much to our delight :) Most importantly, their room is clean and have a feel at home. Wide selection choice of breakfast from ham and sausages, porridge, fruits, toast, yoghurt, pancake .... It is located 8-10mins drive via their free shuttle (BIG TUK TUK) to and fro from the main town (scheduled time-table) or you can choose to cycle on your own, free bicycles are available. We choose this hotel based on the reviews written and was glad that we made this our choice. For those who prefer a quieter place to stay in Luang Prabang, this is is good choice as is away from the main town but yet accessible with the free transportation provided and you will be well taken care of. However, if you are looking for the early morning alms giving to the monk, then you have to pre-book your own Tuk Tuk as their free shuttle service starts at 8am and their bicycles do not have any front/back light. Thanks very much to Deang, Paul, Kham-On (the reception guy) and the TUK-TUK driver for your very good and friendly service!! We will definitely plan another trip back to visit you!! It would be better if their wifi signal is available at the hotel lobby/reception area instead of having to sit at their lounge/dining area for the nearest internet service if you are not in the room.

Deang and her staff were incredible. I stayed for 22 days and became part of the family. There was nothing they wouldn't do for me: from bringing me ice, special tea when I had an upset stomach, to helping me with my Lao language and taking me out for Lao Barbecue for a farewell dinner. This must be the friendliest hotel I have ever stayed in and with the kindest people. I had a room with a lovely deep bathtub and there was always lots of hot water. My garden view from my private patio was lovely and tropical and I had the free use of a bicycle every day. There's also a free shuttle into town as the hotel is a bit outside of the main centre of Luang Prabang, making it nice and quiet. But it was never a problem getting to and from town, either by shuttle or bike. This family really knows how to run a hotel because they value their guests! I will absolutely be back! The wireless internet wasn't very reliable. But the hotel is working on trying to improve it.
