Staff were outstanding and friendly, beautiful building with free (and frequent) shuttle to the town centre and late night returns, excellent sized rooms

Wifi was average but that may be a symptom of the town

This hotel is set in beautiful grounds, it is wonderfully peaceful but still within a comfortable walking distance to the center of town and bicycle free of change. this service is outstanding from the moment. The manager Mr. Paul ensured all the staff excellent service and he himself circulated around all the guest at breakfast each morning to check everyone was happy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

The friendly staff who happily went beyond expectation. The shuttle service into town. Excellent aircon. Paul and his mum made us feel at home. All day tea, coffee, water and fresh fruit available.

The shower over the bath. The hose was not long enough to hook onto the wall.

Shuttle service to the night market Friendly staff

Very loud and noisy outside (especially at night and in the early morning - 6am) No spa and no restaurant Dirty sheets and towels and tons of mosquitos probably due to the water around

Free shuttle bus to night market and bicycle for borrow, treated for 24 hours free tea, coffee and banana. Excellent staff who eager to help. Can see sunrise at 7:00 a.m. on the common balcony with good garden view. Room was clean and good facilitated. We felt so relax and comfort. We would like to say thank you to the hospitable owners.

Curtain are too thin, easy to see through from outside. 窗簾太薄,容易從房間外面看穿。

Decent size rooms, friendly staff and free shuttle bus into town

Spa and bar fridge didn't work, no toiletries other than small bars of soap, a little but out of town - no major complaints for the price

Good shuttle service to the town centre....very necessary. Very helpful owners. ...very friendly , and will book tours etc for you. Tea available all day. Good breakfast.

Intermittent wifi...very frustrating Very hard beds and chairs.....nowhere comfortable to sit. Distance from town.....would have preferred to have been in one of the leafy lanes in the town centre . Shower difficult to use.

Staff were terrific make you feel very welcome and always happy to organise anything you need. Brekky made to order, sightseeing advice, restaurant advice, excellent transport from hotel to anywhere. Paul is amazing and very friendly we were sad to leave. Its Unfortunate other travellers are so fussy, the hotel isn't 5 star so don't expect perfection, it's a boutique European home stay style, very personal and nice and clean. Slightly dusty, a few bugs and lots of mozzies but its Laos pretty much surrounded by the jungle I don't know why people are so critical! You want sterile stay at the Holiday Inn but for me this place was the highlight of Luang Prabang and we recommend this accommodation 100%. Thankyou to Paul and your family we loved our time at the Vangsavath Hotel.

The whole atmosphere of the hotel was nice. The staff was extremely kind, they waited for us with a glass of orange juice, gave us a short presentation about the attractions and were always very helpful when we had any concerns. There is a shuttle service to the city which is very convenient.

Staff were helpful and very attentive, fixing problems promptly when we brought them to their attention.

Bathroom set-up makes it difficult to have a shower standing up. Bathtubs are large, but they are free-standing and the wall mount for the shower head is too low.

The staff, particularly the manager were extremely kind and welcoming. He spent time telling us all about the local attractions and possibilities. Sadly the distance into town was just too far for comfort despite the very efficient shuttle service. When we left we were given a splendid farewell which was typical of the warm and gracious people in the hotel.

Too far from town for us. Rooms were small and ours was at the front of the hotel and noisy from the traffic.

My mother, daughter, and I had a wonderful stay at the Vangsavath Hotel. Our hosts were lovely and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The food was excellent and the facilities were beautiful. We also liked the fact that the hotel was located a little outside the main tourist area as it was quiet. However, it was never a problem to get to where all the action was, either using the hotel's transportation or one of the many inexpensive tuk-tuks that were readily available. The hotel also has bikes for those who would prefer that mode of transportation. I would definitely recommend the hotel for both solo travelers and families.

Great welcome- verry kind and helpfull staff. Hotel is out of center but hotel has his own luxurious tuk-tuk to bring you to town (which takes you only 3 minutes) or you go by bike ( free service from the hotel - takes you 6 minutes).

Staff could not have been more helpful. Hotel is very flexible with free taxi into town. Breakfast buffet is generous.

A little noisy neighborhood. Breakfast buffet not served hot because ambient temperature was quite cool.

The staff were excellent and so helpful, hospitable, and friendly. We absolutely loved the atmosphere. It felt like home straight away. While it was a bit out of the hub of things it was never a problem because the hotel has a free shuttle running frequently in and out of the centre. The hotel has ample free bicycles for guests to borrow as well. We travelled with our 7 yr old and strolled in and it took 30mins. I would definitely stay here again

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We felt very at home during our stay and there was always someone to ask for help. Staff were very knowledgable about the town and sites to see. The rooms were big and very clean and cultural.

It was a bit of a walk to town- but they provided a free shuttle bus almost every hour.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Vangsavath, and ended up extending our stay because we liked the city, and the hotel so much. It is run by a mother and son team. The son speaks fantastic English, and has been our most friendly, helpful and engaged host in 6 months of travelling. The service level was fantastic, with all staff being attentive and helpful. The room itself was nice and clean, with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was basic, and more of a wet room, which seems to be standard in this part of Asia for this price. Not a hugely attractive bathroom, but a good power shower. (We saw a premium room, which had a more modern bathroom, but a perhaps impractical shower within the bath). The communal areas were all good. The WiFi was strong, and their computers were free to use. The breakfast area is very pleasant. The breakfast eggs, french toast and pancakes are cooked fresh to order, and fresh bananas from the garden were always on offer. Don't be put off by location! The hotel is slightly out of town, but they have free bicycles, which are perfect to explore the town, and a very convenient free shuttle tuktuk. It is also close to the local market, which is well worth a look around.
