Tasty breakfast Free wifi Nice décor reflecting heritage. Rooms overlook a nice courtyard offering some serenity in an otherwise very congested and chaotic environment.
The room was much smaller than expected. The bathroom was smelly and small in size. Some of the walls seemed a bit run down. The most disappointing part of the stay was how unwelcoming and unfriendly the entire staff were, ranging from the guards at the entrance, to the bell man, to the receptionists, and to the breakfast staff. I felt as if I was the subject of suspicion. Because of this overall unfriendly environment I will not return to this hotel.
very beautiful hotel with good and interesting variety of rooms. good breakfast.
a/c not operative. the room was so warm.
Beautiful courtyard, great breakfast that was available well after 11am, needed better coffee.
Run and generally occupied by strict Muslims. Alcohol not available- that should be made clear on the website- full of burkhaed women. Close to the airport in an area which the FCO and State Department consider should be completely avoided. I can see why. Hotel closest to the airport, but still charges $25 for airport pick up. At $130 grossly overpriced. Would have been much more sensible and cheaper to have got a cab downtown.
I really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast & the service provided.
Excellent Service as usual, this where we always stay when travelling through Beirut
nothing, all excellent
Very close to airport.. It's a very unexpected location looks like a castle from the outside but very nice surrounding & decor from the inside. Restaurant looked nice (unfortunately when we got there it was very close to their closing time and a lot of things were off the menu)
Making yourself understood was difficult as a lot of staff had very poor English language skills. The taxis at the airport blatantly rip you of and charge you upto $30 (us dollar) for what is a 2_3 kilometres journey... Much better if they had a collection service from airport.
Different pricing on taxi caps, for example the staff at night told me that the charge from the hotel to airport is $17 and the staff of the morning took $ 20. So that's not right at all , I mean $3 won't make a difference but why thy take advantage from strangers or visitors. On the other hand the breakfast In the morning is good but the staff there are looking at you all the time, I mean it's free breakfast and we can eat as much as I can , but when I get good they keep looking at me and make me feel that I'm doing a crime .
Great location nearby airport. Fantastic service and food in the restaurant. Nice architecture
