This is not your typical hotel. the breakfast is home quality ingredients; the atmosphere is calm and charming and Thierry, the owner of the hotel, was welcoming and interesting to talk to.
regards to the owner who makes you feel like home. Spacious rooms, home made breakfast, very clean place.
The staff and the hotel in general.
Hospitable warm reception at the hotel with good recommendations by the boss of places to go around the region. We enjoyed the quiet remote location offering a peaceful environment with spectacular sunset views and convenience to Spinneys supermarket. We had good sleep generally except for the first night when some guests were inconsiderate to talk into the phone along the corridor. It is a common problem in many places anyway. Breakfast was wholesome with fresh herbs and ingredients which were tasteful. In summer this place would be great with an outdoor pool and roof terrace as well as dine-in restaurant. The whole place feels very cozy and has a nice ambience with attentiveness to guests which most other hotels generally lack.
Nothing that I dislike at all but just note that restaurant does not operate in winter and it is a fair distance to other dining options. It is a short taxi ride or fair walk to most other places. However hotel offers food delivery option as well and provides hot water or microwaving when we requested so we could still have our dinner at the dining area which the staff were very kind to help clear. We actually felt very much at home!
Me and my sister unfortunately only went for one night, which meant we didn't have time to enjoy all the amenities, such as the swimming pool and the roof top. We had a twin room which was adequately sized, and meticulously clean, with TV and Wifi, and a lovely view of the Mediterranean. Breakfast was simple but plenty and very good, particularly enjoyed the different types of coffee. To get to the port and Byblos ruins it's a bit of a walk, but the owner very kindly gave us a ride. This was just one example of how you feel very well taken care of, which makes for a very warm atmosphere. The only reason it's just a 4 star rating is that this is not a 5 star hotel, but a family-run B&B, so people's expectations should be based on this. I would recommend anyone going to Byblos to stay here, and would happily go again.
The old souk and port is a couple of kilometers away, so not ideal if you are not up for/able to walk, but as it's Lebanon, taxis are always available.
We booked on our way to the Hotel and our room was ready upon our arrival. Friendly Staff. Location. Value for Money.
Loved the rooftop terrace! Enjoyed a great scene of the sea and Byblos city right after breakfast, and also a star bright night up on the roof as well. Quiet and serene, it feels as if you're in your own parents or grandparents village house sitting at the balcony enjoying the scenery. The pool is not to miss as well. Don't miss a small chat with the owner to know the story behind this exquisite hotel.
- Good location - Very welcoming and efficient staff - Excellent choice for breakfast - Room was clean and comfotable - Nice swimming pool with nice view over the mountains and the sea - Best price-quality ratio of all our trip in Lebanon
Quite property Nice view Friendly staff
We need a place to stay for one night while travelling north.... We ended up finding a charming place with a "Spirit". Cozy, private and just perfect. recommended
The hotel is so close to the city and has a location that allows you to sleep early in the morning away from the city fuzz, and the swimming pool is just appealing for stretching the whole day.
Great ambiance, great value for money, exactly what we expected, very friendly owner and staff, clean, laid back... i will definitly go there again
Nice location and good indicationa Nice view Swimming pool but too hot to use. Sympathic owner
Small rooms and tiny showers! Forget the breakfast quality Nosy air conditionning Lift not working Staff could be more polite
Terrasse, cozy, views, breakfast, swimming pool
Small bathroom and bath tub
Polite staff. Clean & spacious room. Nice outdoor pool. Free Parking. Low traffic noise. Fair basic buffet breakfast. Good for a family/friends stay.
Ceramic floor tiles in room. Basic bathroom. No Snack bar or service around pool. Aircon Auto-shuts down when leaving room so the room is oven hot when back later on. Not for a romantic getaway.
Joseph and the owner were very nice and welcoming. Amazing terrace view... Nice theme Lovely pool
Beds were good but could be better... A direction sign from Spinneys parking would be a big plus
The staff, the clean rooms, the breakfast
Small bathroom and tiny shower. The location on top of a hill with excellent views but far from Byblos old city.
The owner (Thierry) and the culture he is nurturing are as welcoming as a family would be. The location was fantastic and the ambiance simply dazzling. The view is breathtaking.
I rarely write a review, but this time i felt the need to share my great experience at this hotel... i think it s all about the lovely energy of the owner/manager, a person who does his best to make you feel welcomed, as if you are sleeping-over at a friends house not at a hotel. Always smiling, making sure you are enjoying your stay, he even shared with us the story behind his project and his future development plans...By the way they are building a cute little garden and a swimming pool that would be ready in a month. The Location: 3 mins by car from the old souks of jbeil and the sea The Design: As an interior architect i should admit that the hotel is tastefully furnished with soothing colors and some Kitsch items... The stay: rooms are spacious, extremely clean, simply decorated, beds are very comfortable (i prefer feather cushions but it was comfortable enough). the breakfast room is sooo bright with a great view over the sea...Breakfast is above the standards of a 3 stars hotel. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay and i would definitely comeback.
when we stayed the reception desk wasn't open 24/24.
Room was big with modern furniture and a cosy setup Very clean and neat The ambiance and decore of the hotel is interesting especially the wall frames and room names. The location is not ideal but it is very easy to reach and you have spinneys close to you which is a plus The view is nice and if you can visit the upper terrace do not hesitate
There was no toothpaste so make sure you bring one.
Good location and view with nice staff
Very clean, modern and a good location. I liked the iriginality of the service. The staff was friendly and more than willing to help.
Pay for 2*/3*and get 5*! This is a place where you feel like home! Thierry the manager is more than just nice. The employees are extremely helpful. This was one of my best hotel experiences ever
everything was great :location cleanliness the wine test was great also
no variety in food menue
Very friendly, modern, clean hotel. The whole hotel experience seems to have been considered extensively with the guest experience in mind. Great view down to the sea, easy walking distance to the centre of Byblos.
