Eddésands Hotel & Wellness Resort -éBoutique Hotel  

We took a bungalow for the night. In terms of luxury you get a bottle of Champagne and some fruit when you arrive. The building is made from local stones and has hammocks, a roof terrace with an outdoor bed and is very comfortable. It is close enough to the beach that you can watch the waves lap the shore and during the day you have access to all of Edde Sands facilities.

We took a bungalow so it is pretty pricey and not something you book for everyday use. Also if your expecting complete privacy you won't get it. The resort in the summer months in particular gets on average two separate wedding bookings a day. So it can get noisy at night. When there's no wedding then the beach side bar near the bungalows can expect some arabic band playing.

The beach, swimming pools and gardens are beautiful. The suites are modern and nicely decorated in a way that goes along with the theme of a beach resort. The buffet breakfast is also good.

What I did not like in Eddésands éBoutique Hotel is the staff and the service which is the most important thing one looks for while staying at a hotel. Given the relatively high price/rate we paid for the deluxe room, the service was not up to the standards. I am a regular customer of this hotel and year after year when I stay at the hotel each summer I am sensing that the service is getting worse each year, and based on this last stay, my husband and I decided not to stay again as it's not worth it anymore. What happened with us this time is that we arrived to the hotel a bit earlier than the check-in time. However I had contacted earlier a member of the staff and mentioned we'll be arriving earlier and he responded that we are more than welcome to use the resort facilities until our room becomes ready. So when we arrived and asked for beach towels, we were asked to pay an additional 3 US$ per towel to rent the towels and leave one of our personal ID cards as a guarantee that we will return the towel by 6:00pm. This was absolutely unacceptable as towels are normally considered part of the room service. Secondly, it was a Saturday night and there was a wedding at the resort just a pool away from the area where deluxe rooms are located and music was so loud that with the door and windows closed, the AC on and the TV on at its highest volume, we could still here the music as if it's playing in our own room. This loud music was playing from 8:30pm till 1:30am non-stop, so if you were planning to rest and sleep it's no way you can make it. This is the case at least every Friday and Saturday night all summer in the resort. Therefore, the resort should at least note this on the website and also ask booking.com to make a note of the loud music and at least provide a discount for people staying on Friday and Saturday nights to compensate for the strong noise disturbance.

We enjoyed the view all arround us and the mood that the theme of the resort will put u In it was very relaxing .

The staff at the reception weren't professional

Everything was amazing ... We had our wedding ceremony and reception at edde sands and we stayed for 2 nights afterwards .... Everything was extraordinary .... Definitely a 5 stars hotel and resort ...

The combination of swimming pool, Live Night, SPA & the home feeling.

The room spacious, it was reallly small & the main Hotel Entrance, it could be far away better comparing to the hotel setup.

Luxurious Hotel where you can spend time to chill back and relax. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

....its always a pleasure and a very good place to relax...the Hotel is well organized, service is good...Great location and by far one of the best if you compare to other competitors (Laguava,Jana,...).... We will come back...

Location...location...location!!! Being right on the Meditteranean was beautiful.

That it didn't have a gym,I feel even a resort for relaxation should have a gym. Guest of the resort should get discounted rates for the beach lounge beds, but outside guest should pay full price

Prices a bit exagerated

- The mattress was simply awful. It was soft & uncomfortable with a giant dip in the middle. They refused to change it saying that all their mattresses were the same. My back is still aching. - The room was TINY, far smaller than what $350 should buy you in Lebanon. (I know this from staying at other hotels in Lebanon) - There was a nasty smell in the toilet - The safe did not work - and it took 3 calls to reception to get them to fix it. - The internet access was appalling: horribly slow and dropped every few minutes. - There was a wedding right outside our room on the Saturday night! The music stopped around 2.30am. When i complained to front desk for charging us a full nights' sleep when we could only get a few hours, they replied it was in our "confirmation" and i should read it. - Total absence of a service culture… The staff was untrained and completely apathetic. Their attitude was one of “the customer is always wrong and often annoying”.

Beautiful setting and bungalows. Great view. Good food. Friendly service.

Very loud music at night, especially weekends due to weddings and parties taking place in the resort. Those should be mentioned at booking and room prices adjusted. One cannot relax or sleep when it is so loud.
