It's near to the British council and the museum . Reception staff wasn't friendly at all . I booked a suite but I was surprised that the bed was so small for one person even .I was planning to stay for three nights but I checked out after 2 nights to find another hotel .

Amazing stay again at the Golden... why Again? because I was in beirut last January and I can guaranty you that i wasn't going to stay anywhere else then at the same hotel i satyed in last visit! everything was perfect! everyone was perfect too! amazing staff, amazing food, amazing location! In lebanon unfortunetly, there are some electricity cuts, meaning goverment cuts electric power for some hours, but I haven't even felt these cuts during my stay, cople of seconds (max 10sec) power was back because of power installations of the hotel! never was i left with no hot water for my shower, never was i pushed to give any tips like we get in other hotels i've been to before! Always smiles from the staff, and you know what more? Some of the staff even reconize you from your name which tells you you're not just a number in and out there, they want you to have a good stay and they are good at it! Special Hi to Jamil, Natalie, Ali, Jad, Lara and the Kitchen Cheff (When I have a good service somewhere, I remember the names too) !!! Thank you again guys for the amazing 17days hope to see you soon!

Friendliness of the staff. The free upgrade I received. The place was very well organized with plenty of facilities. Just the fact that the bathtub drips a lot of water on the bathroom floor.

This is my third stay at this hotel in Beirut and each time the experience has been very positive. The hotel staffs are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The rooms are immaculately clean and well maintained. The buffet breakfast offered a rich variety of a range of locally made and western type breakfast. During our stay, the restaurant on ground floor, where breakfast is usually served, was undergoing renovations. However, the breakfast was served in another restaurant on the 9th floor where you would really enjoy breathtaking views of Beirut. The chief waiter ensured that you enjoy your breakfast and if there any particular dish you wanted and the buffet would not offer, although it was already rich and generous in many aspects, then the chief waiter would try his best to make your desired dish available and served to you at pretty much no time. Towards the end of my stay, I needed some IT support and access to printer. The engineer at business centre on the first floor was extremely helpful and provided me with professional advice and sorted the technical glitch with my laptop completely free of charge. The manager of the hotel, Miss Dyna Alsaegh, was very hospitable and ensured our stay to be very comfortable. The hotel also provides money exchange service with rates similar to those at the airport or bank and made very convenient for us. The hotel offers a warm environment and the hotel staff strive to their best to make your stay memorable. For me, this created a good guest experience that is always inviting to stay in again. If you are after a clean, warm and friendly place to stay in Beirut then you do not need to look further, I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely come back. Hotel taxi is rather expensive, you can get better offers from down town if you need a taxi to the airport !

Nice people in the reception. Quiet hotel. Excellent location. Clean. One arrogant staff serving the beeakfast (Kathy or Kathia). All the other staff were very nice, helpful and caring about their guests. The room was a little bit small.

Staff was friendly, They do not run air condition at the gym, there is no drinking water at the gym. There is a mobile operator tower antenna at the top of the building which is health risk. Very poor internet service, very slow and you need to get a coupon from reception everytime u have been disconnected.
