The hotel is very well-located. It has an amazing view from the terrace. It is a little difficult to find it for the first time. There is no signs pointing to the hotel is the city. The road to the hotel is narrow and scaring if you came after the sunset.

This is a place with a 1-million-dollar view - it must be the best one in the whole valley. This place is family run which gives it a 'homely' feel - the winter part with a fireplace is especially promising for winter nights with some home-made arak and nargila. At least one room is beautifully finished so make sure you get it! Now - I don't know if this is 'like' or 'dislike' but you will need some kind of transportation to get there as it is 'far away from everywhere' - for me it was good as this place is really quiet. Verdict: if you are young and not spoiled by the chain hotels you will find a friendly staff here, extraordinary views and genuine feel. Go for it. L'Aiglon has a huge potential which is absolutely wasted - some rooms are seriously under-standard as they are not finished (it seems the owners work on it very slowly); the terrace would be a gorgeous place with some little investment in lighting and furniture and the front could get a bit of renovation as well, as it makes a bit depressing impression.

Amazing location and budget friendly. The staff was kind and polite. We were helped with our questions and requests. Quite a shock at our arrival. The manager tried to convince us there was a mistake with our online booking and that we had only booked for one night (instead of 2) . It s only upon our persistence that they could find us a room for 2 nights. Turns out that the hotel was overbooked for the new years period and that s why we almost got Sent away. Some people were preparing for the new years party , meaning they were testing the sound system out loud until 2 o clock in the morning. The rooms are quite old and a refurbishing is well needed. Wifi was available in the lobby but no signal reached our room
