A beautiful and cozy mountain town with lively culture. The perfect base to explore the Kadisha valley. The monasteries of Mar Elisha and Hawka are not to be missed, not the museum of Ghebran. We had a great stay at Hotel L’Aiglon.

I keep visiting Bcharre every time I am in Lebanon.
I keep visiting Bcharre every time I am in Lebanon. It is rated as one of the most villages in Lebanon. It is the only village in the area that has a public transportation office (although public buses pass by all villages around). It is a 15-minute drive to the Cedars forest and to ski slopes. One could contemplate marvelous views of Bcharre and the area from the Cedars. From the Cedars, you could also take an ATV or hike up the highest mountain in the Middle East (Black peak). There are two trails that connect Bcharre to Qannoubine Valley (UNESCO world heritage site) for hiking lovers or spiritualists. There are a few cafes and restaurants in Bcharre. I would highly recommend Maroun ice cream which is the most authentic and delicious ice cream I have ever tasted! The hotels are relatively cheap as well.
Very cute and cozy Inn, with the ground floor full of comfy spots by fireplaces, tables for food, and a well-stocked bar. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable, but the real star of this hotel is the shared living space. We enjoyed having a drink there in the evening. We visited during the summer, so I can only imagine how nice it is to visit when it's snowy and the fireplace is lit. The staff are super friendly and accommodating.
- comfortable, spacious room with TV, private bathroom and balcony
- air-conditioning did not work but fan was enough and available
- big, tasty, diverse breakfast
- near city center next to cathedral
- during our stay bar with drinks and snacks was opened
- good communication with the owner before and during the stay
- communication possible in English, Spanish & Arabic
- big parking in front of the hotel
Stunning panoramic view over Qadisha Valley, clean and comfortable rooms. At the entrance of Qadisha Grotto, you can enter only in summer, but you can benefit from the promenade path to hike are relax. 10 mins by car to the Cedars forest and maybe 15 to Bsharri and Khalil Gibran museum. It is a family-run hotel, with friendly but limited services. a good place to relax.
Very well situated in the town of Bcharre, with easy access to the monasteries and the cedar forest. I stayed in a dorm with 8 beds but was alone due to the current situation in the Middle East. Everything is very clean. Very good Lebanese breakfast. Grace, the owner, does everything to make your stay memorable. I came as a stranger and left as a friend!
Unbeatable location, literally in the clouds, with fabulous views of the mountains, Bcharre, and the sea. Toni is a welcoming and thoughtful host, along with his family and staff. Truly an outstanding place.
Beautiful hotel and very quiet location near the cedars and the ski lifts. We were the only guests and the hotel staff went out of their way to help and make ur stay as enjoyable as possible
The hotel and surrounding landscape were beautiful, the breakfast was delicious and generous, the team led by Mary Rose were super attentive and helpful :)
