This was the second time we stay at the hotel and the cleanliness and quality of the staff for a great price got us back. We will continue to use this hotel if and when we visit Beirut in the future.

I really think this is a very good hotel. It could qualify to be more than 4 stars. The service is very good and staff are very nice. They even gave me a suite for the price of a normal room. The rooms are large and comfortable. They give you an internet card that you should renew each hour. It will be better if the internet facility was a little simpler than that. For example, they give you a user name and password that lasts all day.

The hotel was totally renovated and the rooms are now refurbished which makes it more comfortable and nice to stay at. As usual the staff were great, very friendly and hospitable and would do their best to assist guests. The location of the hotel is superb, it is nearby the shopping area and all the major leisure and entertainment places and the good restaurants.

They changed the room from my reservation. I asked for two double beds and then they "upgraded" me to a suite but it had only a double bed and was unsuitable; then they refused to change the room.

The position of Plaza Hotel is perfect because is in the middle of everything we needed.Restaurants, cafes, shops, bars, are just around. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel so I don't have comments for that. But we had great coffee and snacks at Lina's cafe which is next to the hotels lobby and is open until late at night. The hotel is clean, and the beds were big and comfortable.Outsite the hotel is very easy to get a taxi any time of day and night. The staff was very helpfull and gave us good advises about the local money, best places to visit, and help in all ways to make our stay easier. If we travel to Lebanon definetly we will choose Plaza Hotel again. We had a great time there and we really enjoyed our stay in this hotel.

The central location and the friendly staff were the main things I liked about the hotel especially that it is in the center of Hamra street and the proximity to various attractions. the overall mood of the hotel during winter season was cosy and home like. I thought the toilet was a bit old and needs a revamp considering that the rest of the hotel has been revamped since my last visit 3 years ago. It looked clean but a bit old which does not go with the overall look of the room.

Good location, clean and spacious rooms with balcony. Their page says they offer free internet in the lobby and reception which wasn't true. They gave me hourly codes for the internet at the lobby so it was fine but the very last day I found out that they were charging me 3 euros for every hour of internet used. I had to fight not to pay that since their page clearly says the they have free interney.

What I like about Plaza hotel the location in hamra street. I dont like many thingd about Plaza Hotel mainly that many of factors mentioned on the web were not true, for example I have allergy and they have mentioned that they have special rooms for people who having allergy but when I asked them there they said that all room are the same, second they mentioned on web that room has balcony which is not true only first and second floors has balconies. Main thing for me is the cleanliness of my room, the bathroom was not fairly clean I found hair every where and after I complained noting change.

Honestly, I loved everything about the hotel, the staff were very friendly, helpful in all ways and nice.. I went with my mom, my friend and her mom and we all felt the same.. We booked two Standard rooms, yet when we arrived they upgraded one room without an extra charge, so that we'd be in two door to door rooms.. The location is perfect, it's in the heart of Hamra shopping area and about ten minutes walk from the sea, everything is accessible with a 'service' taxi that you can take from the street "reasonable price, starting fare is 2000 lbp which is around a dollar and a half" or let the hotel provide you with a transportation "it's more expensive ".. In the hotel they have a prochure with trips you can take to explore the beauty of Lebanon ... Unfortunately I caught a flu and had to stay a whole day in my room, missing out the magnificent arz trip, yet, everyone of the staff were very caring and kept on asking about how I was and even brought me Orange juice.. We had a lovely stay over, and definitely we'll come back.. Special thank you to mr. Bilal, Mohammed, Abd elHalim and Fareed.

I was surprised how comfortable the bed was and good-quality the bedding was. I liked that the room had a balcony. The staff were friendly and quick/efficient and spoke excellent English. It is a great location in Hamra although traffic noise is an issue if you are a light sleeper. Hotels in Beirut are not cheap so it is a good middle-ground between budget hotels and the more expensive chain hotels. I disliked the lack of shower water-pressure and the shower curtain needed replacing. Also they were renovating the room next door during 2 of the days I was there (noisy power tools) and cigarette smoke was coming into my room through the vents from an adjacent room or from the floor below even though it was a "non-smoking" floor.

Hotel location, staff, cleanliness, services and comfort were perfect; they even upgraded me to a Junior Suite without additional money. The staff is so friendly and so helpful; they even allowed me to check out later than 12 without any extra charges. No free Wi-Fi in Rooms; only the first hour is free and after that they charge you. You have to request a user name and a password each time you want to access the internet; it was so difficult and bothering.

The staff was excellent: kind, helpful, always a smile. They upgraded me to a suite, which was nice as well. The bed was really comfortable. The location is good. the hotel is attractive. The airport shuttle arranged through the hotel was very expensive - $35. I spoke to someone who had arranged through a tax company, and he paid $20. Also. they advertise a good internet connection, but it is very poor: non-existant in my room, barely connected in the lobby. They were good enough to reimburse me. The bathroom smelled like mildew when I checked in and some of the surfaces were dirty, both in the bathroom and in the rest of the suite. Housekeeping took care of that the next day, more or less. Given these issues, I would not claim a four star status. .
