Bay Gardens opened in 1995 with 45 rooms and two small conference facilities. The property did so well in its initial months that nine suites with kitchenettes and a second pool were built within its first year of operations. An additional 18 rooms were added in 1999 bringing the room count to its current number of 71. Included in this latest upgrade were a creole style rum shop, an upper-deck Jacuzzi and wedding gazebo.
