Score from 76 reviews Good
cocktails at the bar were tasteless
The ambiance was very calm and organized. The proximity to beach was idea. The hotel is tucked away from traffic and noise, breezy and cool.
Nothing bad,a little more smiling faces would be nice.
The beds are so comfortable, location is great.
The breakfast lacked variety. The pancakes were horrible. Very tough and of all shapes. The french toast was also burnt. The safety locker was not working I reported it on my first day and after a week no one came to repair it. Very poor. I also did not like the cat that appears to be well fed.
The staff was friendly and approachable. The location of the hotel was unbeatable. Beach restaurants and mall all within walking distance. The fresh fruit at breakfast.
Some of the staff were quite rude and really did not want to help you. However the girl on reception was extremely pleasant. Dinner in the hotel was overpriced, but then again so we're most of the restaurants there. You really need to be on an all inclusive package in St Lucia.
The hotel is so close to the beach, it's not even a 5 min walk, they also provide towels for the beach which was great. The beach was lovely, the water was warm and was that beautiful turquoise blue.
Bathroom needs a hold big refurb, bathroom area not shown on hotel website, maintainence was required for bathroom on serveral occasions, Food limited service, unable to supply and demand
Bedroom area and bed comfortable, lounging by the pool was good. Cocktails at bar was good, made by a female member of staff
There are not enough sunbeds and umbrellas around the pool, meaning the early risers, 6.30am, lay down their towels and then go back to bed.
Beds are extremely comfortable. Breakfast pancakes and omlettes are very tasty. Plenty of hot water for showers every night. Good location for the beach, approx 3 mins walk and the main parade for restaurants, shops and bars is an easy 10 min walk.
Staff was super friendly and helpful. In house food was good.
The bathroom was of a 2-star hotel. The lower end rooms do not have the bathroom shown on their website.
The room has a Lavazza coffee machine and I love italian coffee. Very comfortable stay and the staff are very helpful.
The staff could not care less about service. The room was in poor shape, leaking toilet, open cracks around the entry and patio doors letting insects and noise in, TV not working. The restaurant was seriously overpriced. This property is not worth $50/night.
Noisy, loud music from nearby bars, etc. Old bathroom, poor plumbing, hot water not always available. Flickering TV, poor wifi reception. Expensive restaurant in hotel (US $57 for hamburger with soggy fries, fish & 2 beers). Surrounded by expensive restaurants (NY Manhattan prices) with mediocre food choices (catch of the day is mostly Mahi-mahi).
The room was clean with private pool side balcony. Bed was wide and comfortable with clean white sheets. Pool was small but nice. Good espresso machine in room. 5 minutes walk to a nice beach.
Hotel de3sparately needs a makeover, much of the infrastructure is poor. For example TV signal was weak, toilet roall holder was broken, ceiling was grey with mould, much improvement needed. Refurbished it could be good, but right now leaves lots to be desired.
Location was good, as was the positive friendly attitude of staff.
I wish the hotel was exactly on the beach but it was one building away which wasn't so bad in the end.
The hotel was exactly as pictured...modern-day furnishings and very attractive accents. The location was great for the price, with the beach and a variety of restaurants just a few steps away.
Fittings in the bathroom were dated but functional. The local happy bar although very happy was very loud on some nights.(not every night)
Small very friendly hotel.e excellent value for money.nice pool and bar area good for meeting people.good location near the beach and other good restaurants.
Breakfast was rather boring and poor. Staff was kinda good, but could do better.
The location is very good. Room was quite OK.
There is no wifi in the rooms and there are no beach chairs or umbrellas reserved for guests at the beach. The bathrooms are not clean, and the shower is very small.
The security lock on the door
Nothing in particular
There was a dripping faucet in my room that never stopped running and only got worse as the stay progressed. I have to say that the expense versus the value were not equal. The bed was okay. I had light bulbs out and they were never replaced when I asked. The service was friendly, when it was seen to. The reception was slow and I was always waiting to get help. They seemed that they were always confused and no one knew exactly what their job was.
Highly incompetent personals. Most of them wearing flip flops and acting disturbed if you ask them for something. It felt as if it was them that were on holiday. Disturbingly Loud music every nights from nearby empty club... Bad food in small portion at a premium price. Essex on the beach would describe most client. Sugar sirup in all their drinks instead of actual fruit juice (on an island that has a wide variety of locally ground fruits). Not hotels fault, but St Lucia has a lot of aggressive locals, just hating you for being white.
Very comfortable bed.
The loud music from the nearby bars kept us awake until early hours of the morning, when we requested to change rooms we were informed we were at the quieter end of the hotel. The music was so loud we could hear every word of the song! The bathroom is outdated, the hotel have refurnished the room but not the actual bathroom. The toilet is crammed in a corner which is small as uncfortable to use as the space is so small and the shower is very old so doesn't feel clean and re entrance is not very wide. The shower curtain looks used and stained, again making it feel unclean and not a pleasant showering experience as well as the old shower head which fell off once in our stay. Although the location felt quite safe the hotel is not well manned by security. The lock on the room door felt unsecure, when we reported this the hotel added an additional lock which slightly helped settle worries.
The bed was comfy The staff tried to help although they couldn't stop the noise Chef cooked special breakfast for my husbands dietary requirements every day we were there
Wifi & bathroom were rotten
Bedroom & balcony were great
Internet connection in the evening almost non existent.
I loved the location and the facilities. Breakfast was very good and the members of staff are very friendly and helpful. Loved it!
Next door is a bar with loud music in the weekends. They told us they are solving the problem.
If you stay in St.Lucia and want to be in the more touristic area with a lot of restaurants and the beach close by BLU Hotel is the best value for money. It is a great location, absolutely a beautiful beach closeby and very friendly and helpful staff. We were very happy we stayed here with our 8 months old daughter!
wifi signal not consistent
Music from the bar next door... Not good if you want to rest.
